ZengoAlways GoodZengo is very consistent...consistently good. I'm usually in Zengo once a week with my daughter and the food is always good and the service is excellent. I've made over 200 reservations using Open Table and this is only the 2nd or 3rd review I've ever written. My other reviews were written when things were notably bad, I decided to write this review because everyone at Zengo does a fabulous job and they deserve credit. Although they have long been on the menu, the duck confit-jicama tacos are absolutely outstanding. We had several "food issues" at our table, including gluten-free, allergies, you name it. What more could you ask for?! We have been here 3 times for Sunday brunch and each time has been absolutely amazing. They have a DJ playing to keep the mood lively and the staff constantly keeps the plates and drinks coming. This is the type of place where you're not doing it right unless your table is covered with food to try and you just don't know what to do with yourself. However, as our waiter had predicted, their regular menu is stellar. The combination of flavors on the ceviche and the three small plates that we shared were all excellent and had different flavors and textures. They mix Latin and Asian in a manner that brings out the best in both; they create excellent flavors without the necessity of making dishes 'hot.'

We did DD Bottomless Brunch which is $10 less than the regular Bottomless brunch without drink option. I saw familes with kids enjoying the brunch as well as the restaurant offer kids option, too. You have the option of doing bottomless brunch for both food & drink, or for food only if you do not wish to drink, or if you are only having one drink (mimosa, sangria, etc).
The taste of every dish was awesome and the presentation equally impressive. We tried many of the small plates, etc but left a few to try for our next visit. The guava and passion fruit mimosas were a highlight for me.
We sat on the patio and enjoyed the spring weather. It was not very busy when we first arrived but picked up throughout our visit. The entire staff from hostess to server(s) were fantastic and attended to us efficiently and professionally. On this visit I introduced my girlfriend to the restaurant and she immediately fell in love. From the ambience to the menu selections she was ecstatic. With both of us being "foodies" she had a little bit of difficulty selecting just one menu item for her first visit. She requested a recommendation and was met with great enthusiasm and knowledge by our server. Her recommendation did not disappoint! Personally I am a great fan of Richard Sandoval restaurants and greatly look forward to introducing her to the other Denver area and Snowmass establishments. The atmosphere is very fun and trendy, with good energy. However, you pay through the nose for the creative selections -- we paid $93 for a light dinner for 2, sharing an entree and a couple dim sum plates with dessert. Most recently we visited for a 30 birthday celebration with a small group and they surprised us at the end of a meal with a complimentary dessert with "Happy Birthday" written on the plate - an unexpected and very appreciated final touch. The food is very unique and creative. Dishes are thoughtful and well executed. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, attentive, and paces meals well even on the busiest of evenings. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 on ambience is it can be very loud if you are sitting near the bar area, and we visited at dusk and a couple of us had the sun in our eyes for the majority of dinner due to blinds that don't close floor to ceiling.
