The combination of a unique buffet along with dishes brought to the table (maple bacon, cinnamon rolls, crab cakes Benedict , and of course skewers of meat) was wonderful. Do not go expecting traditional breakfast foods. No scrambled eggs, sausage, omelet station, or pancakes. I would suggest coming with a group of friends to enhance the experience. If there is a downside to Zed 451, it's that people who prefer their meat medium will be disappointed since the 4 different steak selections presented at our table were medium rare to rare. I was delighted. but my spouse cringed...The food is well-seasoned but not overbearing. The staff made sure that we tried every type of meat, fish, or poultry. Their salad bar is to die for as well. From the door to door service we received from the ZED451 bus, to the delicious food, to the best service we have ever experienced....ZED451 was the perfect place to celebrate my daughter's college graduation with our party of 9. Hands down, the best overall dining experience we have ever had.

Food was fantastic and it just all kept coming. It's a little pricey, but well worth every penny. The entire staff was so friendly too! I asked the host to seat me at the kitchen observation bar so I could watch the chef. It was 9pm on a Monday so not busy which put the wonderful culinary team in the mindset to spoil the single diner from out of town. About five different chefs brought me small plates (smalls at my request) of their favorite creation. Pork belly for the first time, duck, venison, three types and sauces of beef, salmon, swordfish, chicken and on and on...Not only was I so comfortable being a lone diner, the culinary team was so excited to connect with me, the guest, and treat me like I was in their home kitchen.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMMore than we expected....We saw a TV segment on how chefs around town were preparing asparagus as it is in season. We liked the shaved asparagus salad offered here so we thought we'd give the place a try. Great concept, well executed. Friendly staff, some really unique salads, an abundant charcuterie bar, and some really well chosen varieties of meat, fish, and poultry that actually arrived hot at the table. A really enjoyable night out. We plan on visiting soon again with friends.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary Dinner!I had been at Zed451 for work events and holiday parties and was always blown away by their service and food. We were greeted with 2 glasses of champagne and thought that was a nice touch. Our waitress was always around to answer questions and make sure we had everything we needed. The harvest tables were great and I loved the Tomato Basil soup, it had a nice kick to it. I enjoyed the proteins but for once really enjoyed the fish more then the meats. My friends and I are true foodies. We fell in love with Zed's. The food was scrumptious and the service was great. The manager came over and spoke with us and made us feel welcome. The atmosphere is amazing. We were given a brief tour and explanation of the restaurant upon arrival. It was not crowded when I went so that was nice. The food was amazing. I wanted to share a cool dining experience with some friends and this place came first to mind. The amience was terrific, the food delicious, and the service top notch. My only dissapointment was that they did not have crab cakes on their menu, which was listed on their web page. We were greeted and promptly seated. We were immediately given a recommendation to try the potato salad which by the way is amazing. We have been to Brazzaz before which is somewhat similar but our experience at ZED 451 was beyond our expectations. We were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and now I want to go back any opportunity possible. The chicken was amazing and my boyfriend never eats fish but every fish plate that we tried at ZED 451 changed his mind about fish. The selections were very good salmon, top sirloin and pork belly to name a few. The salad, meat and cheese were OK. I did not care for the soup. It is a great for a special occasion. Good dining experience for couples or friends. It was rather empty the night we went. It is pricey and with people watching their wallets these days I know why. The roof top is beautiful. I can see it being a fun place to have drinks. It was closed that night due to rain. Also, there is a great selection of charcuterie at another station. Waitors came around with various meats on a spear and they carved off your selection. The food is very good. Service is fantastic and wait staff very friendly. One nice touch is the availability of car service to and from the restaurant within a certain radious. A small gratuity is suggested. ZED has special buffet luncheons every week-end. Book now for Mother's Day. Decided to come back to celebrate my birthday here. The food is impeccable and the service is wonderful. Plus, almost all of the food offerings are naturally gluten free, which was a HUGE plus for me. Unlike other Brazilian-style steak houses, ZED451 has put in a lot of time and effort to come up with very unique and delicious offerings both on their harvest table (salad bar type thing but oh so much more) and in their meat and fish options. I've never been to a restaurant that was so elegant, breathtaking, upscale, but doesn’t make a person feel uncomfortable. This was my second time eating in a restaurant in Chicago, and by far THE BEST! It was my family’s first time visiting your establishment, along with my sister Jasmine, who frequents the place and recommended it highly for us to come over from Indiana and give it a try. That we really appreciated. The food was excellent and varied. The wine list high quality. I would recommend it to anyone and will certainly return with guests.
