  • "I booked this place for a surprise party for my husband. Our table was ready before we arrived with our group already seated. My specialty cake was stored in the back. When we were ready it was brought out with candles, taken back and cut by the chefs and served. Our server made sure we didn't miss anything on the menu! EXCELLENT SANGRIA PITCHER!"

  • "A favorite brunch location in River North area. Sides and salad bar are great,but the attraction is the slow roasted meets the wait staff passes around. If you have high cholesterol or hypertension, you may want to pick a different location. The chicken and waffle is awesome!"

  • "My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary and I was the perfect place! Food was impeccable! The paring w the meat and sauces were just outstanding. The wait staff was very attentive, friendly and charismatic. There was however a very loud and somewhat obnoxious party that was there that put a small damper on things. But it didn't ruin my overall experience that I had. I would recommend this place to anyone w a special occasion or is starving for good food. I would definitely go back again!"

  • "Even though I had reviewed the menu, I wasn't sure what to expect. After we were seated, a hostess came to our table and explained the menu. She advised us to pace ourselves as the harvest table was quite extensive with a variety of salads, cheeses, breads, soup, etc. Once we sampled the harvest table, we were ready for the main course which included several meats to choose from or all if you wish. We were still a little baffled by the two pebbles that were in the center of our table; however, when the first meat was served, the purpose of the peebles as well as the thongs was explained. All in all a great dining experience and I will be going back for brunch and hopefully will have a chance to dine on the rooftop! Dee G."

  • "Zed did not disappoint during this trip. It was probably one of my more enjoyable visits as the staff was all very friendly and very attentive. I loved the choices of sides this time and I also tried some cranberry cocktail that tasted like Christmas! Our server was wonderful, there was a point in time where we thought they forgot our biscuits to start with and wanted to order sides but found out quickly that our server was wondering the same thing. The managers came over to check to make sure we were okay which made me happy to know that people were aware of the situation. Our server was also really great to make sure we got to try each kind of meat and send over anything we wanted again. The gauchos had so much personality which was fun!"

  • "We were surprised by the buffet style "harvest" without traditional menu selection. The buffet items clearly sat out for longer than ideal and I avoided some out of health concerns. Our waiter lingered far longer than comfortable making unnecessary conversation at our table, which was uncomfortable. Granted it was a slow night but we were dining on business and it seemed he had little sense or training. Zed451 has a beautiful rooftop which is great in the summer but I will likely avoid dining in the future."

  • "This was a father and daugthers brunch. I also had my granddaugther with me. We had a wonderful experience. The service was wonderful which added to the fun. We were served a variety of dishes including serveral house specialties. I could not stop eating the bacon. The food was very unique and did not have typical brunch faire. The food was great and we had the opportunity to try so many new and different things. The value was fantastic."

  • "My boyfriend and I came to celebrate his birthday. We had wonderful seats, and our server was fantastic. She was very attentive without being overbearing. The service ppl in general were all pleasant, upbeat, and engaging. I enjoyed the food especially the potato pablano soup. The desert was not what we expected. It danced in my mouth! We were told we must try the butterscotch bread pudding the next time. I would recommend this place for sure!"

  • "I would have starved myself all day if I knew what we were in for -- the salad/appetizer bar alone was filling and delicious, and that was before we got started on all the wonderful meat. We didn't have room for dessert, but take your glass of wine up to the balcony for a lovely view of Chicago. Service was incredibly helpful without being pestering."

We were there to celebrate my son's 16th birthday and while the service was excellent and attentive, the birthday attention was limited to a card signed by the staff. I had hoped they would send him a dessert with a candle but it didn't happen. A little anticlimatic after the amount paid for 6 meals. Failry expensive restaurant."

  • "My friend & I ordered appetizers since we were going to another function w/food later. The prawns were outstanding and the dipping sauce was fabulous. My ribs were not edible -dry & hard - but my friend enjoyed hers. Never ate better fries. We thought it was most generous - and greatly appreciated - that Zed 451 gave us a complimentary wine flight because we had made reservations & the restaurant knew it was our first visit. The service was great & we felt the restaurant really wanted us to enjoy the meal."

  • "Had dinner here last night with three other guests. This place really has all its ducks in a row. The food was great, I love the salad bar and it would have been more than enough for a light meal. The variety of meats was also great. You surely will not leave ZED 451 hungry! The decor and ambiance was wonderful. The service is also great. Our server Nina made us feel very special! Definitely worth the price, and the free shuttle is a great touch!"

  • "We originally selected Zed451 as a spot we wanted to try when we drove by on a cold evening and saw the fireplaces gleaming through the glass. When my birthday rolled around, we made a reservation not exactly knowing what we were in for. This was by far the most delicious offerings we have encountered in the city. Granted, we are relatively new to Chicago, and no restaurant has disappointed thus far, but Zed451 was above and beyond anything we have tried. Everything was seasoned to perfection, be that the salads, cheese or the 48 hour marinated cuts brought to your table. We warned not to plan a big evening after dining here - as all we wanted to do was take a nap we were so full! We will absolutely be back!"

  • "Really good food - not just the meat that kept coming, but the breads, salads and cheese offered at the Harvest Table featured some favorites (thinly sliced prosciutto, vegetable soup, chili) as well as some delicious yet atypical "salad bar" selections like black truffle spread and blackened cheddar cubes. A few things that weren't perfect: our table was in a dark corner of the restaurant, and I had called 6 weeks in advance for a reservation, and we were competing with a group of 80 in the upstairs room and wait to wait longer than we should have for our smoked gouda potatoes. The restaurant's shuttle picked us up at our daughter's apartment and was there to take us back after dinner without our having to request it. Nice touch."

  • "Riley was very pleasant and corteous on the phone and Sara and Tara took time to visit with us thru the night.Chef Kate made an incredible bday cake.My wife and I went with 4 other couples to celebrate 2 bdays.I requested Ivana as a server due to an incredible previous experience with her and just when I thought I've seen it all, I had an even better experience this time. Ivana had the table decorated with party hats and special personalized bday cards for the two ladies in our group.She remember my favorite drink as well as my wife's. The food started coming and it was better than ever.Seafood was to die for along with the Harvest selection.Chef Mike cooked an incredible "jimbalaya" where most of us went for seconds(and thirds). GO ZED"
