I love Zebra's! On the few ocassions I've been, I always enjoy starting with a cocktail or glass of wine in the lounge, followed by a delicious meal in the dining room. Great place to meet up with old friends for drinks and dinner, a lively atmosphere with knowledgable and friendly servers. Enjoy!

Zebra's was excellent. The sushi was absolutely incredible as well as the other appetizers we had which were butternut squash risotto, crab cakes and peking ravioli. Also, the wine selection was very good. We had the chocolate "cake" and creme brulee which were both very delicious. The service was also superb. Jeanne (the server) was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Very casual environment for great food. I took one of my daughters who lives out of town there for dinner recently. When we were sitting on a sofa in the bar for a drink before the meal, the bar tender recognized my daughter from a visit more then a year ago and brought two complementary Shiraz tastings for her as he remembered she has spent time in Austrailia ... very nice touch.

Have been dining @ Zebra's for a # of years, but the waitress staff was horrfic this time around. 1st waitress wouldn't stop talking, slow to serve, informed us almost 20 minutes after we ordered and appetizer that it was no longer on the menu, and the main courses were staggered at least 5-7 minutes a part. 2nd waitress gave us desert menu and never came around to take our order, 3rd waitress took our order, not sure which of the 3 finally gave us our bill.

The food was excellent and overall we had a great time! Our server seemed inexperienced as we ordered a bottle of wine and she never poured any of it after the first glass. She also spilled some of the wine on the table. Despite the less than outstanding service, we would still go back.

We made reservations hoping to have a more "reasonable" dining experience than we usually do at Zebra's taking advantage of the $28.08 per person 3 course meal. What we didn't realize was it was a "tasting" menu. Very limited and the main course was a half portion so there wasn't really a "deal" to be had even though that was the insinuation in the marketting of it. We each had a coctail while we shared an appetizer, then chose from the tasting menu having a salad, half entre' and dessert ($28.08 ea) and shared one of their least expensive bottles of wine. Our bill including tax and tip was a little over $160. So much for what I thought would be a more reasonable night out. Everything was great but just a little too pricey.

Went just for sushi.Rated number two for sushi in greater Boston.Sushi is excellent. However this is the third time we've gone and the second time we've tried to order the duck spring roll&they were out.It was a 730 reservation.Being out of an item for 9pm is understandable but 730 seemed a bit early.Next time we go,Ill make a 6pm just to try and get one of the duck spring rolls and see if they really should be selling out so quickly. Two other problems:They need a new bartender for cocktails. They are know for their(never had a glass there I prefer a cocktail before dinner)but their mojito was sub par, the martini was not great. Also, it is ridiculously loud-not just near the bar which is understandable, but in the dining area too.

We made sure to show up early so that we could sit and have a drink in the lounge- comfy chairs and couches. The service was outstanding- friendly yet very efficient and professional. Had the mushroom ravioli which was home made with a delicious sauce. The raviolis themselves were not too "woodsy" tasting- had just the right mix of cheese and mushrooms. Great margaritas too- I usually don't like the way most places make them- too much of that sour/fake mix but these were really authentic tasting. The creme brulee was outstanding too. My husband and I had a great night out at Zebra's!

Service is horrible - from the hostess to the bartenders. They do NOT value their customers what so ever. There was one server there that is attentive & friendly. The food is good & menu is creative. I almost insulted every time I walk in though. At 9:30 on a Sat night, one bartender turns to the other & (loudly) says "Are we still open?" ...way to say welcome buddy, thanks. And when asked if tables were available outside on a nice summer night recently (7/17) the hostess went on to say on a nice night they wouldn't & didn't bother looking. The only nice server came by & offered to check & said there was a table available then. It's almost as if they resent having to put in effort toward their customers. Very snotty atmosphere & feeling!

Place was decorated nicely, and staff was efficient. Could use a little music for more atmosphere. We heard it was usually packed, but perhaps not so on a Monday night, there were only 8 others in the place. Sushi was not so great (again a Monday, and maybe we should not have ordered seafood). We had to park in the their parking lot in the back-never again, because the smell of garbage stayed with us for a bit. We'll try again on another day and order off the main menu.

We were generally pleased with the food, although one dish (short ribs) was sent back because it was way too fatty. However, our server handled the situation extremely well and suggested alternate dishes that could be prepared quickly. We would consider returning for another meal, although I honestly think that the quality of the food was perhaps a notch below what reviews and previous diners had led us to believe it would be.

The food was absolutely delicious. I got the 7 oz. sirloin and devoured every moistel of it. As well, I absolutely enjoyed the asparagus and potatoes as well. My only reservation was with the service. We were the first people in the restaurant, at the beginning of dinner service, and I feel that our server could have been a little more attentive. I had to repeatedly ask for water without being provoked by my server beforehand, and our server only came around once to check in on us. I would absolutely recommend Zebra's to other friends, but I feel it necessary to tell the establishment about our "just okay" food service.

The lobster pizza was great. The lamb was the saltiest entree I have ever eaten, so much that it crunched as I ate it. The beet greens salad was soggy and did not compliment the lamb. The scallops were dry and salty. The crispy parmesan asparagus wasn't crispy and not cooked enough to bite through. I thought it was strange that there were similar items on the desert menu. Flan - creme brulee and flourless chocolate cake - chocolate molton lava cake. The flan was aweful and didn't even look like flan and the molton lava cake was cooked through and not very tasty. Sorry, I like the restaurant but it was not a good night after the lobster pizza.

best Tuna entree around. Lots of restaurants claim "sushi grade" Ahi. Tuna entree at Zebra is consistantly amazing. Parmesan crusted asparagus are a great side. Of course every time we eat there we have to start with the signature pizza....Lobster, Corn, Gorgonzola, mission fig and balsamic...a spectacular combination, on an ultra thin crust. Waitress was friendly and efficient but mentioned several times she was working a double. Shirt and apron were very dirty. Martinis were small and expensive but tasty. Couldn't transfer bar bill to dining room. Duck confit spring rolls were mediocre, sauce very good. Salad very under dressed but excellent when waitress brought more dressing. Salmon entree and sushi were excellent. Desserts okay; truffles stale and overpriced. Generous portions all... Have enjoyed this restaurant several times before and recommended it to others. I am a caterer and took my entire staff there for dinner. I definitely do not validate myself by invalidating others but my standards are admittedly high. This was my least enjoyable visit there.
