ZaziosGreat staffThis was our first time at Zazios. There happened to be a guest chef speaking to a group near us when we dined. His amplified voice was a little distracting for me, because I sat facing the kitchen and because there were no partitions there, could the chef speaking very well.
The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I like the way they asked if it was our first time there. They explained what things were. I appreciated their response to "Thank you", which was "My pleasure", rather than the "No problem" I often hear from young people. After our meal, the chef came out and spoke with us. Very nice!
The food was pleasingly presented. We have gone often enough that we know the staff reasonably well.
Although our initial seating was poorly delivered, our server Dianne, always delightful, creative, with a great sense of humor, made things right. We would greatly recommend you enlist her aid in selecting your entire courses, her taste suited ours more than well.
Chef came by our table, and we do appreciate that. Zazios is the best restaurnat in town. Reasonably priced--especially the drinks. Imaginative food. Good wine list again reasonably priced. Excellent service.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful dinnerWhen I lived in Ann Arbor 40 years ago I was too poor to eat out, so it was a delight to return and find such a good restaurant, chosen on the basis of Trip Advisor reviews. Everything (good) about the restaurant must be true, and we had a delicious and thoughtful dinner. Our four dishes (two firsts, two seconds) were interesting without being precious and the wine list was appropriate without being pretentious.
