Zax Restaurant & BarGreat for theater goersWe have come to Zax 3 times all before a theatre show or concert. The staff has been very accommodating and we have had no problems getting out in time. We were a party of 3 and ordered the Beef Tenderloin Skewers, Grilled Mahi Mahi and Salad Nicoise with seared tuna. All 3 were excellent. The waitstaff seemed a bit frantic but we all survived. The food was stellar including the grilled polenta with blue cheese and marinara. My husband loved the pork chop and my girlfriend and I had a salad each. The drinks were superb and the wine list was more than adequate. We will definitely return to Zax again. It was a great place prior to the show. My Scallops were wonderful paired with some type of cheesy polenta and brussel sprouts. My wife's speak was a bit over cooked but the sauce of it was great and the french fries were down very well.. There is also a great selection of salads. Our dinners were fantastic and featured the fresh seafood and vegetables. Our servicer was friendly and attentive and he did a great job timing our courses.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMI took a group of coworkersI took a group of coworkers from out of town to Zax's because of the great beer selection, the high quality of the food, and the sheer "Austiness" of the place.
