  • "Waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. Before dinner drinks were good. Had the chicken special and it was delicious. Also had the ravioli special (veal and beef filled raviolis in a red sauce) that was not good at all. Fresh bread served with dinner was outstanding. Desserts pretty good (cheesecake and lemon sorbet type dessert). Will definitely go back even though one of the meals wasn't good."

  • "The hostess could not find our open table reservation, and said it usually is the user's fault. There was a table available and we were seated immediately. Had to ask for bread. They were out of chicken (7PM on a Thursday night). The salmon was good as were the other entrees. Pizza seems to be their specialty."

  • "Had not been to this restaurant in quite some time just as a matter of convenience. The wait staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. Also they aren't rushing you to move on. I can judge by the freshness of a salad if the restaurant pays attention to details. I had the pear salad which was very substantial. Very fresh and dressing was excellent. Our guests enjoyed their salads as well. I had the crab cakes which were tasty and not too spicy. The others each had a pasta dish which they also liked very much."

  • "Zarletti is a bit expensive for our budget, so we only go there on rare occasions. The osso buco was outstanding, an enormous portion. And the risotto Milanese accompaniment was delicious. I also enjoyed my tomato bisque soup. My husband had a seafood spedini special. He thought it was quite good, but the portion size was about 2/3 less than my entrée. It looked like a child's plate in comparison to mine! But he was happy to round out his meal with about half of mine, so that worked out well. Zarletti is a small restaurant with lots of tables, so the noise level can get quite overwhelming. If you're looking for an intimate or romantic evening, this is not a good choice."

Not sure that I am going to keep it on my roster of restaurants. Do not order the pasta with the duck . It is awful. It is bitter."

The minestrone soup was brimming with flavor, the caprese sandwich plentiful and rich, and the gelato a great way to top off the lunch. All in all, a delicious meal!"

  • "We were seated immediately, our waiter welcomed us with a smile. Our tomato basil soup was stellar, hot and tasty, not salty. But before we both were finished our sandwiches arrived. We began to feel rushed. However the muffuletta was excellent and large, and boxes were graciously provided. A special request was honored (no nuts on cannoli). So that was all good. And although our waiter was good, his smiled seemed forced, and though he was efficient to a fault it all seemed mechanical. So maybe it is a style issue. But . . ."

  • "This was our first meal at Zarletti's. Went on a Saturday evening with a party of 4. Our server was busy but was able to juggle all the tables with aplomb and efficiency. The lobster and basil bisque was excellent, and we all had some variation of the house made Ravioli--very well prepared. The tiramisu is not to be missed as a dessert. The noise level was bit loud to have a comfortable conversation, but that is to be expected with a fairy crowded restaurant with close tables, at least Zarletti's does not have communal dining, which would somewhat degrade the experience. Overall a good solid restaurant that delivers a fine meal. Will Return."

  • "One of the best restaurants in MKE that never disappoints - great food & service - service is always attentive to detail i.e. bartender and waiters refill your wine glasses throughout the meal - (sorry my pet peeve when this doesn't happen) - only wish they'd expand their wine list to some American selections - only challenge is that Zarletti is now very popular and can be a challenge getting-in - especially on the weekends - but plan ahead and if there is a slight wait b/c others have discovered this place too - chill and go with the flow - it's definitely worth it! "

The waitstaff (Matt) was very courteous and knowledgeable, and was able to make a great suggestion about how to alter a sauce to suit my wife's tastes. He also recommended an off-the-menu version of bruschetta that was mind-blowingly good. I ordered the stuffed pork chops, and while I had ordered a gin martini, he brought a small tasting of a dry red wine that he thought would pair well with my dinner. Nothing short of amazing! His senses and instincts were right-on, and I really appreciated the way that everyone there took care of us. This dinner helped make a night away from the kids into a romantic evening spent reconnecting over superb food, wine, and atmosphere."
