"This place is fantastic! The food is delicious, everything was so full of flavor - appetizer: meat and cheese plate - the meat was sliced so thin and the portions were rather large for the price! Entrees: scallops wrapped in pancetta that melted in your mouth and a lasagna bake filled with a variety of cheeses; dessert: hazelnut bread pudding that melted in your mouth and bittersweet pudding that was a great complement to the sweetness of the hazlenut. The service was above excellent, everyone was extremely attentive. We were able to enjoy our meal at our pace. My boyfriend and I can't wait to go back!"

"The atmosphere was the best thing about Zampa. Overall, the food wasn't that great and I found it to be very overpriced. There wasn't a glass of wine on the menu cheaper than $10, and the lasagna bolognese, which the waitress said was her favorite meal on the menu, seemed to be taken out of a freezer and heated up. It also cost $19 and wasn't a huge portion, so not a great value here. Perhaps it would have been better to stick with smaller plates and try a few things. Probably wouldn't go back or recommend Zampa, there are better places & better values in the city."

"I've walked by this place for like 2 years and always thought it looked charming. The service is top notch. I like the ambiance and I probably would rate the food higher but they were out of a few things I ordered. I will go back with an earlier dinner reservation :)"

"We had a delicious meal including shared crostini, 2 appetizers, 2 large plates and shared dessert plus 4 glasses of wine and tax for $135, which is a very reasonable price by Manhattan and especially Meatpacking/Village standards. No false notes in any of the food or drink. Service is friendly and understated. They were busy when we were there (7pm Saturday), but offered a case study in staying cool for some better-known places where we have dined at 20-50% greater expense - if you open the kitchen to view you better be in control! If you want to learn more about Italian wines, go here and be guided by your waiter or the charming owner Anthony. Passion without drama: what a find, we will definitely be back."

"By far the most impressive dining experience in NYC. The food, from appetizers through dessert, was extraordinarily creative and well executed. The owner spins magic with his warm welcome and individual care for each patron. You can spend more in Manhattan if you want, but you won't get anything remotely close to a fine dining experience. Samoa gas risen to the top of my list."
