  • "Food is great. Only problem is service should be more attentive. I had to holler for waiter a few times. Add Compari to the drink list"

  • "Local restaurant that I never knew was there. Good spot for lunch. Nice assortment of appetizers and the lobster ravioli was delicious."

  • "Don't be discouarged by outside of restaurant which looks very small. There are 2 dining rooms, a small bar and a quaint living room style area which you can also eat / drink at. Later in the evening they also have music. Food was delicious. I had grilled stalls and prawns over mushroom risotto with asparagus and a few baby carrots. We bought our own wine which had a $15.00 corkage fee. For Deseret we shared the chocolate espresso creme burelle. Perfect. Highly recommend - can't wait to go back."

  • "My wife and I had a reservation, made through Open Table for 7:00 p.m.. We arrived on time and were seated immediately, at a table across from a table of nine people. Due to the size of the room there is no where to escape from a group this size in Yves, which is just the luck of the draw an a Wednesday evening. While the noise level was intrusive as we celebrated our anniversary, the food and service were excellent. In fact I would rate my steak dinner and my wife, who had salmon, exceptionally good. The service was attentive, coffee and desert were very good, with a nice selection of items to choose from on the menu. The large group left about 1/2 way through our meal and dinner returned to a most enjoyable experience."

  • "Had a good beer, shared 4 small plates and dessert with coffee. Sometimes we have full meals, other times share as this week. Both offer a large variiety of choices, all prepared excellently. Service is attentive, but allows for leisurely dining. We tend to avoid Friday and Saturday as it can get very noisy due to large groups. They are open late on Thursday and it is quiet."

  • "Our group of four had a very nice dinner at Yves last weekend. There were a couple of large parties but our service was still wonderful and the staff attentive. The food was delicious and wine list was very good. Leave room for the soufflé dessert -- excellent!! The restaurant ambiance is comfortable."

  • "I consider Yves in Anaheim Hills a rare gem. This outstanding restaurant is noteworthy for it's fine food and service. Our dinner tonight was flawless and superb. Service by David was outstanding. A true pro, who was extremely knowledgeable about the menu items and his recommendations were 'spot on'. No question in my mind to request him again. Everything was so well done. The Penne Vodka was to die for and the Linguini with clams fresh and seasoned just right. Run, don't walk to this Anaheim Hills treasure."

  • "Visiting relatives for a special occasion here. A great change of pace from the corporate restaurants all over the area. A huge menu with lots of choices, some very creative and unique and some quite traditional. Great salads and desserts. Gets pricey - this puts it into a category where I have some places I'd rather go in Laguna or Newport Beach, but for this area its really hard to beat. Nice they didn't charge us a corkage fee. This is in that category of really good but not amazing. For sure there is something on the menu for everyone."

  • "WE took our 102 Mother there on Friday night, We had never experienced a weekend crowd there like it was. However, the food, ambiance and the host, Yves, topped the entire evening with an excellent experience. We will be back, and it is indeed a hidden gem for those who are unaware of where it is. The patio dining is always our favorite. There was a lively jazz band there as well as bar activity to match. We had the scallops and the pork tenderloin. Fabulous!!!!"

  • "Another great time with my daughters in town - this venue is one of their favorites over the years and we always end our family visits with Yve's fabulous chocolate raspberry soufflé! The quiet atmosphere, superb service, and extremely flexible hours allow for our lively conversation and for sharing warm memories together. Yve's varied menu appeals to both my vegetarian and meat loving family members - often, the enticing appetizers are just as tempting as their hearty entrees, which allows everyone to find something great to devour. The cozy bar area is truly built for both comfort and conversation - and gives me many special memories to treasure until we are together again."

  • "What a beautiful Christmas Eve dinner we had at Yve's Bistrot. Yve is the consummate host, and this carries over to his excellent staff. Our dinner was superb.......the service impeccable......and the price very reasonable. The evening could not have been better. We'll certainly be back very soon."

  • "Because it is family owned and run you can tell that they take pride in what they do and how they want to present themselves to the community. They have a spirtit of letting you know that you are important to them and that they will listen to you."

  • "Yves is just a delightful place for a casual dinner for two or a special occasion. Food, wine and service are always top notch, but still warm, friendly and personal. We had our pre-wedding party at Yves. The bar area with comfy sofas and chairs was a wonderful gathering place for about 20 friends and family who traveled cross country to get together, mingle and catch up. Yves and his staff were friendly, helpful and happily went out of their way. Just a great place, period !"

  • "The food and wine were delicious, as always. However there was a large party that was so noisy we had to ell to each other across the table to carry on a conversation. There were about 18 or 20 of they and while they had a grand time - we did and could not wait to get out. I will check on that before I reserve again. Lunch is ALWAYS wonderful and relaxing."

  • "Waiter was great. Restaurant allowed the 3 of us to sit leisurely and chit chat. Most restaurants are not as flexible and customer oriented in that way. It probably helped that it was lunch."

  • "Yves Bistro has been a neighborhood favorite for decades. The memu has remained consistent with many proven entrees. Has a pleasant ambiance and is reliable for both dinner and lunch. Recently upgraded the entryway creating a 'wine bar' atmosphere. Staff is always friendly,"

  • "This was our second time to Yves. Our first time was great, but this time, we were seated next to a large party. There were a few guests from that party that arrived throughout the course of 2-3 hours and were obviously heavily intoxicated, yet they continuously had alcoholic beverages in their hands the whole time they were here. Several of the gentlemen shouted through the entire patio seating disrupting every table's conversations. This was evident by nearly every table stopping their conversations to look at the large party and unruly guests. Unfortunately, none of the management or staff spoke a word to the guests. We would re-consider dining there again if we saw just a rowdy table upon arriving at your restaurant."

  • "The food is always good at Yves but the service is TERRIBLE. There were probably only a total of 5 tables that were occupied and only 1 had a large group that by the time we arrived was nearly finished eating. So we were talking maybe 5 tables of 2 or 3 (our party had 3) and we only ordered salads and it took 50 minutes to get our meal. As we had tickets for a play (and we told the server) we allowed ourselves 90 minutes for lunch and more than half was wasted on waiting. I had to continually ask for refill on my ice tea and waited FOREVER for the bus boy to bring me sugar. It is really too bad the service is so bad because the food and ambiance is good."

  • "Went to Yves for lunch and the food was great. I want to go back for date night with my hubby and try some of the wines. I also heard that they have wine tasting once a month, definitely have to attend this event! I had the Brie appetizer, Artichoke soup, and a Lasagna roll up pasta(cannot remember the name). All of my choices were EXCELLENT! The pasta portion could have been bigger(only had two pasta rolls) but the quality was awesome! Can't wait togo back!"

  • "We aren't the only ones who enjoy this restaurant - it was full on a Saturday night. As a result, it was noisier than usual, but full of fun energy. The food is excellent and different, and the service is on point. The owner/manager is appropriately present, and impressed us by being exactly where needed at the right moment."

  • "Good local place for sharing small plates or having full meals. Good selection of both. Have been going there for over 20 years. Went on a Thursday and it was very quiet and relaxing. Can be very loud and noisy on weekends as we have encountered large groups with no regard for the other diners. Usually have small plates, but this time we have a soup, salad, 2 seafood entrees and shared dessert with coffee. Very good all around and service was perfect for us, slow wihich might be a problem for some. We prefer to take our time and that is not always easy in other restaurants."

  • "I have been a satisfied customer of Yves for many years. Consistently good food was the norm. Tonight, not so much. On the plus side - great salads and fresh fish. On the negative, bland sauces with grissle in the meat, which leads me to believe the quality may not be up to par."

  • "I was looking for a place that I could dine with friends that was semi-quiet, (no kids - love my grand-kids but....), great food and not too stuffy. I felt that Yves Bistro fit the bill for all my requests. The menu was excellent, food delicious, service excellent and the ambiance was perfect. I will definitely return. I also felt that the prices were very fair."

  • "First time at this restaurant and first impression was great. Atmosphere and greeting was great. Menu looked really good and the food as served was really good. The server was pleasant and helpful, just difficult to understand because in the dining room the background noise from other diners was so loud. The problem was that the wait between courses became longer and longer. When dessert and coffee had taken over 30 minutes and no sign of anything. No server, no coffee, no dessert. I got up and found another server and asked for the check and we left. Initially we all thought we'd found a gem. Had the server told us upfront that the kitchen had a problem maybe all would be forgiven, but he didn't. Just disappeared."

  • "We have been to Yve's several times, and generally enjoy it. However, this time, we were very disappointed. The crabcake appetizer was one small cake (it used to be two), and it was tepid. My wife ordered the catch of the day, which came with a rice-cake of some sort, and it was actually partially frozen. Finally, our dessert order was wrong. All-in-all, a very unsatisfactory experience."

  • "My friend and I both had salads which were excellent. She ordered the pear salad with grilled chicken and I had the grilled chicken salad. Will definitely return for another lunch."
    Dined on 11/6/2013
  • "The service did not match the food- our salad dressing was spilled all over the table and the water glasses not filled. When our appetizer was removed, he put the knife on the tablecloth instead of giving us a new one. On the ohter hand there is a wide variety of items to choice from. The noise level was high I could barley hear my companion."
