  • "My partner and I made a return trip recently to YOLO. When I made my Open Table reservation, I mentioned that this was an anniversary dinner. Upon arrival, they were nice enough to give us a table in a quieter section. Our waitress introduced herself and said "I see this is a special occasion for you," to which we replied that it was. From that point on, we were treated like royalty, not subject to the quick table turnover from which so many American restaurants suffer. We ordered one course at a time, each hitting its mark, including grilled artichoke hearts in a wonderful aioli sauce, great salads, tender prime rib and short rib entrees, and a pumpkin cheesecake with a candle in it for our big day. We loved everything about YOLO."

  • "Went for the first time to celebrate my birthday and found nothing wrong with it. I was able to dine with my friends and after a while of relaxing at Yolo, we were able to go dancing right down the hall to O-lounge! There was no need to step outside! Both O-lounge and Yolo had great energy. The waiters was very kind. Even though some guests arrived later than the reserved time, we were able to be seated within a 10 minute wait. I loved this place!"

  • "Yolo is a beautiful restaurant, having said that the food was nothing to write home about. We started with the Szechuan Calamari and The BLT Wedge, both were fine. For our entrées we had the Tuna special and the Forever Braised Short Ribs. The tuna was again fine, however, the short ribs (I’m a huge fan of short ribs) was truly forever braised (i.e. overcooked). The desserts were mixed, Ice Cream sandwich was good the Chocolate Lava Cake not so much, again it was fine. The bottom line is at these prices it should all be good – fine is just really unacceptable. Service was fine. Reservations are a must on the weekend."

  • "Great night out with a group of friends. Good food & drinks with great ambiance. Desserts were fantastic. We were there on a Monday night and it seemed to close down early. We got seated around 9:15pm and once we got our drinks, were told last call.....not a late not hang out during the week I guess. Overall loved the place and would go back!"

  • "While on vacation we visited Yolo. I was not impressed with the service because of the way my boyfriend and I were dressed and the fact that my boyfriend has tattoos. We felt very uncomfortable and unwelcomed. We were placed as far away from everything and next to the kitchen. When ordering dessert we ordered 2 but only received one and then we didn't even receive the ice cream as the menu suggests. Food was OK but I'd rather go to Shula's."

There are several nice places to choose from for lunch downtown, but I always favor YOLO for great food, great prices, and the BEST EVER bread pudding. On Sunday just skip lunch, have a glass of champagne and the bread pudding. (It is made with croissants.)"

  • "We enjoyed a 6 PM reservation and the place was filling up. Average age was mid 60s. Upon leaving at 7:30 the crowd was much younger. Speaks well for the restaurant that it has appeal across generations. Food was very good. Wedge salad was fresh and tasty. Short rib was over cooked just a bit but had a flavorful sauce. Grouper special was tasty but not filling. You may want to also order a side dish with that one. Nice wine list and pricing appropriate. Was glad that no bread was served. Our server was a bit stretched so it took a bit longer to get our order taken. As a result we were not able to stay for dessert due to another engagement. But we look forward to returning since the dessert menu was appealing!"

  • "The appetizers were great. I ordered a Rib-Eye cooked black & blue as an entrée and specified charred on both sides. The boss boys brought out the food and left. Our waiter was so busy that nobody came out to ask if the steak was appropriate. It turns out that my steak was blue but greyish and not seized at all. My company were eating so I decided to accompany them. I was 75% done when the waiter finally appeared and offer to cook the remaining 25% which I refused since I had had enough. You're appetite isn't the same when you don't enjoy the food already served. The manager came over and apologized and said to ask for him next time that he would make sure that I got good food?????? No compensation, no drinks offered, nothing."

  • "I don't usually do reviews but I have to say that the food here was not worth the price. My prime rib was average quality and reminded me of something I could get at Denny's. My girlfriend's ribeye was a little dry and not worth the price. The bread pudding looked much like a muffin and nothing like bread pudding but we were told that was the way it was supposed to look. Might as well have gone to Outback. I guess if you are looking to "make the scene" this may be the place but the food was average at best."

  • "We went earlier, around 5:15, right after a matinee at theater so I am not sure how it is for noise level later. They have valet, so it is convenient. They sat us at a corner booth which was a great setup, cozy but plenty of room for two. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. Enjoy!"

We sent it back but got it back still rare but a little burned on the outside lol and they put the mash potatoes in the microwave to reheat it lol. We could just tell. But over all we had a good night. Didnt want to complain to waiter."
