A word from Yerba Buena Perry
Chef Partner Julian Medina and restaurant group YB & Co introduce Christopher Gilman and their newest Latin hot spot, YerbaBuena Perry. Located at One Perry Street in Manhattan's West Village. YerbaBuena Perry is a chic 55-seater that stirs up an era gone by-1950's Cuba. The restaurant features Julian Medina's reinterpreted Cocina Latina cuisine complemented by signature cocktails, many made with Yerba Buena, a latin mint.

YerbaBuena Perry transports guests from the West Village to an exclusive club in Havana with a feel that is retro yet chic and sophisticated. Designer Welly Lai outfitted the space with floral wall coverings in sea foam hues and leather banquettes, setting a mood of elegance. The restaurant's focal point is an expansive hand-carved bar with an Italian marble top.

Julian Medina's cusine evokes Peru, Cuba, Argentina, Colombia, México and Spain. Yerba Buena Perry's menu includes Ceviches, Tacos, and Parrillada, an Argentine mixed Grill.

We went for brunch and ordered the unlimited drinks option. The food was delicious and the staff was always refilling our glasses. Service was on point.. can't complain about that. The table next to us, however, was very loud and they ruined the ambiance a little bit. Obviously, it's not the restaurant's fault, but it was a bit annoying for everyone else trying to enjoy their meal. Aside from that, it was all perfect!

The food and cocktails were really excellent. The service was very friendly. But don't even think about stepping foot in here on a busy night without earplugs. The noise level was not just unpleasant, but actually, literally painful. If they just add some good acoustic panels, this might be a real gem I would recommend.

My daughter knew of this favorite brunch place. The food was unique and very well prepared. The service was the best in New York; our coffee was always full as was our water, and the bottomless cocktails were crafted very well.

Was not thrilled with the one hour only boozy brunch, but the host was amazing! He bought my friend and I another round on the house- super cool, funny guy. The food was good in my opinion, but nothing to write home about. I would like a more diverse menu- maybe some more vegetarian options, not just the huevos rancheros or french toast. Energy level was great, it was a cold and blustery day in NYC so it was nice to walk a few blocks from my apartment and enjoy the ambiance & energy! I will definitely be going back soon. =)

A close friend recommended Yerba Buena to us. We had a wonderful evening hosted by Michael. Make sure to start out with a selection of one of their truly creative cocktails. The ceviche and fish tacos are great starters along with the truly yummy avacado croquettes. The black cod main course with kale incorporated into the flavorful sauce was amazing. Five stars for this Latin American dining experience!

I went there with 10 girls, and we had the time of our lives....the service was amazing. The food was delightful. I highly recommend the empanadas, and the A La Parilla rib eye. I cannot sing it's praises enough. I had so many challenges getting this group together for a time and the restaurant really was so very accommodating and so very easy to work with....It is now one of my new favorite places in NYC and as a meeting planner, it's a pleasure to dine here....thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Dinner at Yerba Buena Perry was a treat. The guacamole was exceptional as were the two small plates that I ordered after finishing the appetizer. I enjoyed a spicy pork dish served with coleslaw on a bun and the calamari was wonderful. My waitress was friendly and very professional and it made for a very good evening. This restaurant is usually bustling, but I guess on a late summer's evening the place was less than half full. This is a great spot to visit in the West Village.

The food was delicious- we tried the empanadas, fish tacos, beef short rib and quinoa kale dish- all excellent. Tried a couple specialty cocktails, I had the blackberry gimlet, it was also very nice. We also had the trio of fries, we thought it was just ok. The restaurant was quite dimly lit and we had to back to our car to grab our jackets, the A/C was really pumping. Am definitely looking forward to a return visit:)

I regretted not getting the restaurant week menu because I wanted more - but I had the Atun Ceviche and the fish tacos - they were incredible! The fish tacos had this great, flavorful coleslaw on it and it had a small kick. The fish was fried perfectly. The ceviche was tangy and delicious. Cocktails were incredible - each of my friends had a different one - all great. The Sandia drinks was incredibly fresh. We couldn't stop talking about how fresh everything tasted. At the end we had an after dinner small mojito and were given coupons for our next time. Really great service as well.

At first we were worried about the food because we couldn't smell the flavor that we are so used when going to Latin restaurants, but I have to say we were impressed by what we ordered. Our appetizers/entrees/desserts were so full of the right ingredients and flavors that made our mouths more watery. We highly recommend this place. A bit tight but highly recommend it.
