Chef Partner Julian Medina and restaurant group YB & Co introduce Christopher Gilman and their newest Latin hot spot, Yerba Buena Perry. Located at One Perry Street in Manhattan's West Village. Yerba Buena Perry is a chic 55-seater that stirs up an era gone by-1950's Cuba. The restaurant features… Julian Medina's reinterpreted Cocina Latina cuisine complemented by signature cocktails, many made with Yerba Buena, a latin mint. Yerba Buena Perry transports guests from the West Village to an exclusive club in Havana with a feel that is retro yet chic and sophisticated. Designer Welly Lai outfitted the space with floral wall coverings in sea foam hues and leather banquettes, setting a mood of elegance. The restaurant's focal point is an expansive hand-carved bar with an Italian marble top. Julian Medina's cusine evokes Peru, Cuba, Argentina, Colombia, México and Spain. "We were here for Easter Sunday for brunch. This place is a cool. The food was excellent, not just the usual eggs this way and that way ho hum... and the $15 all the cocktails you can drink (offer lasts an hour) is great and sets the atmosphere just right! Try the Brazilian Bellini to drink and the hot Peruvian fish soup to eat!"

"Kudos to Yerba Buena for offering a Passover-Friendly menu! The selections were delicious, especially the Sabra Margarita (with prickly pear and agave nectar) and the guacamole with smoked whitefish (VERY spicy but excellent). Regular selections are superb and very sophisticated--much more so than most Latino restaurants I've visited. The duck confit with tamarind glaze was perfectly prepared--crispy skin and just the right amount of sweet/salty/savory balance. Service is very friendly and efficient. Diners should beware that the place is fairly noisy--though by no means deafening. Not the place for a quiet dinner, but that's not what this restaurant is about."

"I came here with my sister and her friend for brunch on Sunday. We ordered the Fry Trio with watermelon, avacado, and hearts of palm fries. They were good and a fun thing to try. I ordered the Pisco to drink and the Huevo Rancheros. The coctail was excellent, not to sweet with the perfect strength in alcohol. THe huevo rancheros were good, but nothing unique compared to any other places where I've had it. My other guests enjoyed the red sangria and arepas. The service was attentive and friendly and they accommodated us well with a stroller and infant. The loud atmosphere drowned any sounds the baby made. Overall we enjoyed our visit. Try the fries if you're looking for something unique."

"A spectacular Sunday afternoon is to be had at Yerba Buenz. Went for brunch, and indulged in the endless one hour cocktails. The pisco sour and sangria were superb. Hands down, Julian Medina makes the best fish tacos in NYC. Go, and thank me later."
