A word from Yerba Buena
Yerba Buena presents an innovative take on Latin cuisine. Located at Avenue A in the East Village, the menu features an array of unique exquisite dishes freshly prepared by the Chef Julian Medina. He works his magic to blend exotic flavors from Cuba, Peru, Chile, Mexico, and Argentina in an open kitchen visible from the dining room.

The Cockteleria Clasica (classic cocktail bar) includes a list of signature handcrafted cocktails such as the popular Poquito Picante created exclusively for Yerba Buena by top shelf Mixologists. Owner Giovanny Campos has carefully and tastefully selected an extensive wine list from Argentina, Chile, Spain, and United States.

We invite you to join us for a memorable and a one of a kind experience!

Diner Reviews
  • "I've been to the one on Perry street so thought this one on in East Village would be at par. But I was disappointed. Food and ambiance were just average."

  • "The food was amazing, especially the arepas and the steak! Service was also great with a very attentive and friendly waiter, host, and manager. They gave us complimentary dessert wine with our dessert which was delicious. I will definitely be going back."

  • "We had a large dinner reservation for 8 people on a Friday night. The staff was very accommodating with our requests to order in waves and to add an additional diner to our party. They were very attentive and well-educated on the menu. We enjoyed all the food, especially the brisket arepas and the spicy fish tacos. The veggie empanadas were also delightful. I'm very glad YB is in my neighborhood"

  • "This used to be a solid spot, but now the food seems like it's being phoned in, or thawed out. Oxidized guacamole, everything drowning in sauce, meh."

  • "Service is outstanding everyone is nice and takes care of you. But disappointed by the food and the ambiance. Cocktails are good. Not sure I will go back."

  • "This was the hands down the worst place I've been to in NYC. I've never sent a drink back in over 4 years in NYC but this was the first time I have had to. Foood was equally awful. Could t have left fast enough. Wouldn't recommend to anyone"

  • "Once again we had an amazing meal and I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. The guacamole is the best in the city and so are their plantains. My paella was so delicious with a variety of seafood and Spanish rice. The suckling pig and fishes that my family ordered was done to perfection and beyond delicious. The dessert was amazing and we polished off three desserts between the four of us oohing and aching continually."
