I reserved my table on OpenTable and had to change the time for one that was not available through the site - I called them and they had no problems changing it to an earlier time. I also asked for a patio seating (not guaranteed), but we ended up getting it. Spectacular views of the fountain! The fountains go off every 15mins (after 8pm). It was the most romantic backdrop to our fabulous dinner! I wanted them to watch the fountains during dinner. Got there early for our res. I asked the hostess if our table was by the windows (told her we would be willing to wait) she said she had an "excellent" table for us! That was an exaggeration. We were in a booth as far from the windows as you could get, off to the side. The table was large but had to add two chairs to the outside to accomodate 6 people. The music is very loud and we could not converse. I didn't want to make a scene so we went ahead and sat there. My husband and I go to Vegas 3 times a year and ALWAYS dine at Yellowtail. We could not choose what to order so we asked the waitress to suggest her favorites. We ordered what she liked and had one of the best meals ever! The big eye tuna pizza was incredible as was our first taste of Kobe beef. My giger martini was the best martini I have EVER tasted. The busboy suggested we go to the balcony to watch the water show. The service is exceptional, the menu is inventive, insanely flavorful and beautifully presented. The server and assistant were no less professional or prompt, which made for an outstanding experience. The server gave us outstanding suggestions for appetizers and dinner. The food was outstanding, not only in taste and texture but also in timing. The only thing that I wish could have been different was that the restaurant seemed a bit slow for a Friday night in Las Vegas. Maybe my expectations were out of place but, I was expecting a bit more energetic ambiance. Theo was our waiter and was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very helpful with his recommendations. He was very attentive, and we never had to look for him if we wanted something. We wanted Sake but were unfamiliar with what to order, so Yukiko - who is the sake specialist - helped us out. She was amazing and her recommendations were spot on.
Now the food.... like nothing I've ever experienced. By far the best sushi I have ever had and probably one of the best meals! The sushi is fresh and so flavorful.. it was a wonderful dining experience!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat atmosphereYellowtail is right behind the Bellagio fountain, if you're lucky enough to get an outside table you have a perfect view of the fountain. The big eye tuna pizza was delicious. Some people have complained about the truffle oil however it really pulls out the delicious taste of the raw tuna. The popping spicy crab was our favorite sushi roll. Yellowtail gets a little creative here adding pop rocks to this roll, making it delicious and fun to eat. I LOVE the lobster PB&J roll with the cashew butter & jalapeño jelle... Price is consistent for fine dining... Delicious, great service, and aim for a table on the balcony to watch the fountain if you can. Totally worth it. If not, the interior atmosphere is also great!
