They do have a good cocktail list and drink selection. The atmosphere was great, cute restaurant. It was quiet and had dim lighting. The waiter was great, attentive and friendly!"

  • "My wife & I enjoy trying places we have not been to for dinner. This place is in our neighborhood & we enjoyed the food, service & ambiance. My wife got the small prime rib & thought is was very tender, moist & delicious. We split a wedge salad which was good. The salmon wasn't too dry & the cream sauce was good. The wine selection was good & very reasonable when compared to comparable places. This restaurant is in the Flower Mound Town Square, which never seem to have taken off commercially. Due to the location, we were surprised they were fairly busy. Enjoyed this quint little neighborhood steak house & the live music!"

  • "Tried to seat us at a 2-top away from the main area instead of one of the 4 or 5 empty booths which we finally sat at. Took 15 - 20 minutes for them to take our drink orders which my wife's order for a vodka and sprite ended up being an expensive sprite (very little vodka). Our meals were were not at expected: wife ordered pan seared talapia and got a pre-frozen breaded talapia that was soggy and tasteless, my steak ordered medium well was rare and once sent back it returned as medium to medium rare. Sides had no flavor and the bread appeared from the middle of a long loaf you buy at the grocery store and dry (sitting open a while ??). Definitely not a restaurant we would recommend. Also, the live band was too loud to talk over."

  • "We went for Father's day lunch. The shrimp cocktail and bloody mary were fantastic. The steak, filet, which is suppose to be the most tender. They say their steaks are prime. I question that since it had fat in it and was pretty tough. I also ordered it medium rare and it came out rare. I wanted to stay close to home and not travel far hoping that this place would be decent. This is why places like this struggle. They want to be up there with the Bob's steak house but they don't do what is necessary. They charge the same kind of prices. Next time, I will travel a ways to get the quality I expect at these prices."

  • "I havent been to this place in years and thought I would give it a try. The server was very friednly and knowlegable. Food choices were impressive, escpecially the steak. Shrimp cocktails appitizer was fine ( would probably go a different direction on my next visit . Also could use a few more wine options. The wine list jumps from $45-50 to $100 with no mid range choices Live music was nice and created a engetic vibe without being over the top. We definetly plan to go again"

  • "First visit to this restaurant, it won't be our last. Our party of four ordered something different and we all loved our meals. Very good wine list and very good service from Darin. Check it out, you won't be dissapointed! We had the bacon wrapped scallops app., shrimp cocktail, a buffalo rib eye special, a salmon special that was topped with a crab cake, lamb chops and the prime rib. All were great!"

  • "Dinner on Valentine's Day was not their moment to shine... Not a good start when it takes three people to locate my Open Table reservation in their book. After that delay, we seated at a 'booth' that consisted of small table set in a corner against a wall, both of us sitting on the same side and our backs to the rest of the restaurant. After taking our drink order (simple cocktails), our waiter disappeared for 10-15 min. (they were not that busy) before returning. We had to send one drink back, because it was not what was ordered. They offered a set 4-course menu for Valentine's @ $50/person. We opted instead for a simple filet, which was tender & cooked to order. Side dishes were nothing special. Live music/band was nice."

  • "Upon arrival, there was a large group present making so much noise we could barely hear our selves talk. We were told they would be leaving at 6 PM. That was at 5:40. They didn't leave until about 6:20, well into our meal time. The staff did put us into a separate room but that room had no floor to ceiling walls so the noise was only slightly muted. Kathie ordered coconut shrimp, which she loved. She also ordered the prime rib, which was very good. However, her garlic mashed potatoes had a metallic taste. I ordered the scallops appetizer, which was under cooked. I ordered the parmesan crusted red snapper, which was over cooked plus I could not taste the parmesan. The carrot cake for desert was wonderful as was Darin's service"

  • "3 out of 17 steaks were not edible and sent back. If steaks are too rare and get sent back, that's almost understandable, but these fille't's were so tough you could not eat them. The others were ok. Service from Justine was very good. Wine was a nice selection and bottles were half price. I spoke to the owner personally after dinner, no more comments are needed."

  • "We made reservations for New Year's Eve. When we arrived we were greeted and seated. We didn't know there was a limited menu for the evening but were allowed to order certain items off of main menu. The food was good but way overpriced. $8 for a Ceasar salad that was nothing spectacular. Little pricey for what we received. Wait staff was nice. We both had steaks which were good but nothing out of the ordinary and once again way overpriced. Food presentation was average. Probably won't return as there is much better value out there and food just as good or in most cases even better. Restaurant was very nice in decor and relaxing."

  • "We've been to Yellow Rose maybe a dozen times in the past couple of years, and although I generally like the atmosphere and service, I've come to the conclusion that the chef prefers to cook steaks his way rather than the way a customer orders it. I know, everyone says that you get the most flavor from rare to medium rare, but I prefer mine in the medium to medium well range, but Yellow Rose just can't seem to do that. On this occasion, they didn't even come close. Even sending it back once didn't bring it up to medium, but it was done enough to finish my meal with my family. I expect restaurants that call themselves a steak house to be able to cook a steak the way I want it. Otherwise, I can go to Outback or Applebees for less."

  • "Too expensive for the lack of quality meats, I had the strip that was "aged for 11 days". The toughest piece of meat that I have ever eatin, and I ordered it medium rare do it should have just melted in my mouth. The spinach artichoke dip was good, but the bread with it was hard as a rock and seasoned with cinnamon. ? Bad food, good service, lower prices or buy better quality."

  • "Overall I felt this was a "Good" experience, however the food was a little less than I expected. I ordered the Ribeye and while this cut should be expected with moderate marbling, this particular cut I received had extreme amounts (25% waste). Clearly the chef should have trimmed this cut prior to cooking. Service was excellent and the restaurant was quiet and comfortable. I would go again, but I would insist on better quality next time."

  • "As noted above the food was very good...bordering outstanding. My son and I took my wife there for Mother's Day. My son had the Chicken Picatta and my wife had the 6 oz. Filet. Both were outstanding! I on the other hand had the Prime Rib...not so good. The service was lacking a little. Our waitress kept forgetting things. First my son's diet coke and then horse radish for my Prime Rib. We had to remind her on both counts. I was very disappointed that the table did not have a table cloth. I specifically chose this restaurant because the pictures showed them! It makes a huge difference in ambiance and perception. If they fixed this...I would most likely return and recommend to others."

  • "Appetizer..spinach artichoke dip...not good..burned toast. Salad....fair. Served my grandson a pizza that was still frozen. Told them about it and they brought him some burned chicken tenders. It was a table with four adults and one 7 year old. They put the tip on the bill. I don't appreciate adding gratuity to a bill for four adults. Will never return."

  • "The food was mediocre at best. To describe themselves as a chop house is like instant coffee being decribed as coffee house brewed. The service was choppy, we sat there on Valentines Day with no water no menu and no communication for over 10 minutes. One huge disapointement was being served still frozen cheesecake! For nearly $75 a plate Im thinking at least pretend the dessert is home made. We wont be going back."

  • "Service was a bit slow but the waitress was nice. They did have a singer performing which was nice. As far as the appetizers go the crab cakes were the smallest I've ever seen, they tasted fine just I expected more for the price, the bacon wrap scallops were not good at all, small and tough. The bread was good, the salad was just ok. The filet was very tender but not much taste to it, garlic mashed potato's just so so. Overall we probably won't be back, it was way too expensive for what we got. For what I spent I could go to Bob's or III Forks, I know they are good."
