My party of 4 was very pleased with their selection. Service could have been better. Usually they bring some nice breads with the drinks (or early on); midway through the soup I decided to ask for some, which then were quickly forthcoming. We had our wedding reception dinner there 46 years ago, so it was fitting that we celebrate there. The Brunch was terrific. Steak and eggs and the blueberry pancakes were both great as was the service. Our salads were good. We ordered the Salmon with lentils and broccoli rabe and the Lemon Chicken, both were hot, very tasty and well-prepared. The ricotta cinnamon ice cream was a novel and delicious dessert. Service was friendly and exceptional throughout our meal. The rolls and crisp bread brought to our table before our dinner was just okay, both were much better in the past. Dining alone I got a table in a quiet corner where I could do some reading and check emails. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. The waitress was considerate and understanding that I was enjoying a leisurely lunch and didn't rush me.

The ambiance was festive with a busy crowd. It was wonderful to see so many families of multi generations enjoying their time together dining. The special holiday menu had an outstanding selection of variety. The food was excellent.
What really blew it out of the park was the service. Our waitress Nancy was very attentive. As soon as I ordered, she said "You know I think there are only three of those left, let me go immediately to the kitchen to reserve the order for you." She asked my daughter who had not ordered if that would be ok and she would return to take her order. Very thoughtful.

Our waitress, Nancy, added to our enjoyable experience with her friendly, attentive and accommodating service. Though the restaurant was very crowded, our food arrived in reasonable time from when we ordered and was served hot (a major criterion for me). I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion. The food was excellent (which based on my previous visits was one of the main reasons I selected here for the new girlfriend). We all ordered something different, salmon, chicken, beef, scallops. Everything was so delicious! I would have preferred to sit on the river side of the restaurant but we made late reservations. I had mentioned in the notes area that it was our anniversary and requested a quiet or private area and they reserved a table in the corner for us which was very nice. I had the sweet potato soup for a starter and it was delightful. The marshmallow topped it off perfectly. My entree was the shrimp malfatti, which I had never tried before, and hubby had the salmon. It was delicious. Hubby and I are fussy eaters and rarely ever give scores of 5, but I cannot imagine how it could have been better so I believe 5s are warranted.
