  • "All was amazing, server had recommendations which I love especially since it was our first time. Read great reviews on the restaurant and decided it was a must. In fact many people we met in Miami spoke quite highly of Yardbird. Be prepared as portions are huge so make sure you have room for the star: Llewlyn's Fried Chicken. The only real let down was the $7 espresso? A bit shocking to be honest. Not quite sure why, I own many restaurants (Toronto & LA) and a bakery in Toronto....espresso should not cost more than $3.5 even if you're roasting your own beans. Come on, Really? Hotels are not even charging this much! Other than that it is a must try!"

  • "Overall a decent spot to eat. The biscuits where a little harder then expected, the Mac N Cheese was a little too imitational and the seating for two where to close to others seating for two. When one person who sits on the long couch like benches, if they need to get up they have to walk in between their table and the group next to them which was literally inches apart. So my date had to get up and use the bathroom and her butt was pretty much in the next couple faces and personal space. Not really lived up to the hype over this spot."

The restaurant occupies a prominent corner location close to bustling South Beach, Lincoln Road and other attractions. The interior can be described as Southern rustic chic, with high ceilings, intimate lighting, a bustling bar scene and a semi open kitchen. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable, especially Andrew, who has served us on two occasions, both three star experiences. His cocktail recommendations were spot on based on our stated preferences, as was his advice to order a few items to share because the kitchen gets good and busy so all of the items ordered by your table may not arrive together. Ask for him."

  • "I had been very excited about going to Yardbird, and we went for my birthday. I found the food to be mediocre at best. The fried chicken was overcooked, and the ribs were very tough. The biscuits and the mac n cheese were phenomenal, but everything was very expensive and a la carte. So you pay $40 for a dish, and then you pay $10 for each side. I can't see myself coming back here anytime soon. And the service seemed to want us out of there as quick as possible. I've never seen anything like it. The dude was all over us. And we received our food literally 5 minutes after ordering, which makes me wonder how fresh the food was."

The service was a little erratic though. We were greeted & seated promptly, got our menus.. Then our waiter disappeared for quite a while before we were able to order drinks. We had to wave down a server finally to fin our waiter. That said, this was the only low point in an otherwise great dining experience!"

  • "This place is very unique for a typical South Beach restaurant. The service is absolutely outstanding! The hostess was very warm and welcoming and our waiter was very attentive. He came by our table many times just to refill our sweet tea and water. The atmosphere is very unique, too. Very clean and nice decor. Our table was a one of the center booths. It was very nice and intimate, despite having the feel of a very full and packed restaurant. The food is great. Must try their fried green tomatoes and fried chicken. Their waffles were okay, nothing very special. This place is not very kid-friendly, but they did call us (prior to our arrival) to tell us about not having a high chair for our baby."

Come hungry and enjoy! The only issue is that honey have a small kitchen and the food comes out all at once. I t turns out that the restaurant is fairly new and the Yardhouse is nearby so our GPS brought us there. We realized mid-meal that we were not where we wanted to be and located the Yardbird House and had dessert there. It was more upscale and the staff treated us incredibly well."
