"We have been here many times and had no problems before.....our service was awful! We were entertaining family from New Zealand and were quite embarrassed. They took a long time to even address us for drinks after seating us. They never even gave us our soup and salad which are included with the entrees. The restaurant wasn't even busy.....I hope.it was just a fluke because we love this place as.do our kids!."

"Well, what could I expect from a teppan yaki place. It was very noisy and not conducive for conversation. We felt very rushed. I know that restaurants need to 'turn' tables but this was ridiculous. They brought everything out at once, practically, and there was no room on the table for it. I would recommend ordering as you go so you don't get swamped with plates of sushi and appetizers at one time. The food was just OK. Some of their rolls fell apart very easily. The ohshi-tashi was not cut at all like it should be. Obviously not run by a Japanese chef. I would not recommend Yanagi for Japanese cuisine. I would recommend it for a group or a family with children that would enjoy the teppan-yaki experience."

"They were closing on us. We wanted tempiaki bar but the chef didn't even cook at our table. He cooked at the table next to us. That was the main reason we went there but didn't even get the experience."

"The place is great for birthdays if you like teppanyaki. The food is good but only complaint was our steak was cook medium well when we asked for medium rare and we are steak eaters so that was a no no. Other than that, the chef was attentive and servers all friendly and accomodating. Their sushi/sashimi is very good."

"A beautiful restaurant. We've eaten there many times. Good service. This time we ate at a tepanyaki table. The terriyaki sauce that was put on the ahi tuna was way too overwhelming. I would not put any sauce on the ahi if I had that dish again. Other than that, everything was very good."

"Mediocre attempt at a venue that has been done 1000 times, only better. Chef was somewhat entertaining, but marginally skilled. Food very average. Didn't care for the last customer's food (rice, egg) still on the grill. There are much better places for this type of venue."
