Getting there

Cross Street: Franklin Avenue
Public Transit: Metro Red Line to Hollywood & Highland. Walk west down Hollywood Blvd turn right on Orange and cross at the light on Franklin. Once you cross at the light go left and turn right at sycamore going up the hill. It is a very steep hill so walking in dress shoes or in the dark are not recommended. We suggest calling a cab at the bottom of the hill.
Parking: Valet
Parking Details: In consideration of our neighbors and because we are located in a permit parking residental area, valet is required ($7.50) Note: Starting March 5th Valet will be increased to $8.00. We really appreciate your cooperation. For Garden Market Patrons not using the free shuttle valet parking is $10.00.

Our new menu is AMAZING! Chef Brock serves Asian Inspired dishes. You have to taste our Truffle Hamachi, Kurobuta Pork Carnitas, Forbidden Rice Roll, and Wagyu Steak on a Himalayan Salt Plate. "The sushi does not amp up to the view and the location at all. very ordinary rolls. The strawberry donut dessert was awesome. Wish we tried the meat. That Wagu on a salt stone looked and smelled wonderful. If you`d rather have better sushi than a view, go to Sushi Ike on hollywood blvd."

"I highly recommend this place. It is a little pricy but the food was terrific and the service was good. My only complaint is the service charge for serving a birthday cake we brought. This seemed a little tacky, for a restaurant that was trying to appear higher class. The hostesses did not handle this as well and need to be trained better. But otherwise a good experience."

"I surprised my wife with a visit here--she had never heard of it and was wowed by the view and atmosphere. Usually places with a view/location like this are lazy with the food, but I give Yamashiro good marks. My only complaint was that I think their menu is a little limited and too heavily dependent on sushi. I would've preferred a few more choices, but I was certainly happy with what I had. Great for out of towners too!"

"NOT fit for foodies. Menu is largely stolen from other Japanese restaurants and, as a whole, is tired. Gardens were non-existent.. Maybe it was the time of year? Mostly tourists. I was very unimpressed."
