We have eaten at Yabba every year with our children and grandchildren. Thanksgiving week is usually crowded. What a surprise to see that we were one of only 2 tables occupied inside. Even given the lack of diners, service was somewhat slow. The food was not up to previous standards. I don't think we will go back again.

This was our second visit and was as good if not better than the last. I ordered the mani mani with tomato garlic wine sauce (as recommended by our server). The fish was grilled perfectly and the server's suggestion was spot on! My husband (not a seafood lover) order the grouper stuffed with crab, and loved it. We enjoy this restaurant so much we have reservations for this weekend to entertain our out of town guests.

We were dining with family we had not seen for a year. We were seated in a nice quiet area which made it great to visit. The food was good as was the service. We usually sit at the bar and have bar food so we are already familiar with and like the restaurant.

Had dinner during special 5th ave wine and food event on Saturday 11/15, which caused a lot of noise and distractions during dinner. Hostesses were disorganized. We were a parrty of three. They sat us at a table for four, while a table of three was prepared near the front entrance. We were seated and a waiter asked us for drinks. While waiting, the hostess came and said we had to move because we were at a table that was to be used by a large group. She seated us at the table for three at the front entrance and another waitress came to serve us the rest of the meal. We normally enjoy Yabba but this was not a good dining experience.

We hadn't dined here in a long time, but decided to try it again because we had out of state company, and it is a great location (middle of Fifth Ave). What a nice surprise to find the food and menu selections were much improved. All six of us enjoyed our dinners, all different fish selections. I had Grouper encrusted with macadamia nuts, served with plantain, with sweet and sour sauce and island greens, at $32. It was a generous portion, and it was very tastey. We will certainly go back.

Everyone at our table was dissatisfied with the food. One even sent it back. The music was loud and not the usual island type music. Have dined here in the past many times and had lovely food and ambiance but this time was different and we won't be back. Not even worth giving it anot her chance. Yuck!

We were a table of 6 and had a very disappointing dinner....service was slow...our appetizers were skimpy and not particularly good...my dinner arrived cold and had to be sent back ....I had ordered a pasta and seafood dinner..it was supposed to include crab..clams...mussels...shrimp..it was almost laughable ...there were only shells ..no clams..no mussels....etc...the two shrimp included were very tiny shrimp....the waitress took it back and asked if I wanted something else ..which I did not...we had ordered a side of onion rings ..they were so heavily salted and dried up...they also went back...the other people at the table said their dinners were "fair"...desserts were small...negative dining experience

Four of us enjoyed a nice evening together. I had the Blackened Salmon which was wonderful. One had the Grouper stuffed with Crab meat. He said he wouldn't order it again. Our waitress couldn't have been better. My only complaint is the Caesar salad for $10 was VERY small.

Brought another couple, friends from CT, to Yaba on Saturday night. Service was poor and food was mediocre for a fairly high price. I eat out on Fifth in Naples and other local restaurants so I know what prices are. Waitress was hard to get a hold of, she poured the wine without allowing us to taste it (Turned out it was bad and we need another bottle) in addition to not splitting a salad when we said we wanted to split it. She must have been new because she had to go back into the kitchen several times to get questions answered. Two of us had stuffed shrimp which were tiny and not particularly tasty. Net net, Poor service, mediocre food and very high price.

Yabba's is a restaurant we go to each time we are in town - 2-3X per year. We were at the restaurant on a very busy night (Haloween) and the restaurant was full, but not overly crowded. With our reservation we were seated quickly and then sat for over 15 minutes before being acknowledged, 20 mins before getting water and ordering our first drinks, and over a half hour before we received our wine. While we understood it was a busy night, the restaurant knew it would be and was clearly not prepared. From that point on, the service worked out but we almost got up and left before then.

The restaurant is in a beautiful location. The outdoor dining was very pleasant . I was there with a group of 7 ladies. The restaurant didnot allow us to put 2 tables together, which was not enjoyable for our group. The prices were too high for the amount of food you received. I had the blackened salmon with a mango salsa. The salmon was your typical 4 ounce size, but the salsa was a condiment cup size container. Less than 1/4 of a cup . I enjoy going to Naples, but will not return to Yabba Island Grill. That was the general opinion of the group.

Despite having probably the best location on 5th Ave, the food just doesn't cut it. We came back after about a year away from a similar experience only to once again find the food mediocre at best. The only reason we gave the food rating any stars at all was because of the delicious appetizers. Sorry, we won't be back.

Good menu with lots of seafood and other things, too. Good corn bread, but not as spicy as it used to be. We often like to split a salad, each have an entrée and then split dessert. Wish the salad was split in the kitchen like they do at many local restaurants, including one of our favorites, B . . . , at Venetian Village. This chain apparently has a "give the customer an extra plate and make them split it" policy that isn't very customer friendly. Still, this place has a great atmosphere and great location.

Our service was good and we enjoyed the outdoor seating in the plaza. The large group of people standing right next to us at the bar were noisy and made it hard to converse. The outdoor tables are very close to the bar. The food was good, although the swordfish serving was quite small for the price. The wedge salad was large and delicious but blue cheese crumbles are standard on such a salad and it is cheesy to charge extra for them. Tilapia and tuna were also good. Loved the smashed potatoes.

I booked a table at Yabba Island Grill for a surprise birthday dinner for my wife. She knew we were going out for dinner, she just did not know where we were going. The restaurant itself looks great, and when we arrived we were escorted to our table overlooking 5th Avenue South. Pat was our server, and he was very polite and helpful. We really enjoyed our meal. My wife had the house special salmon dish and I had the tuna. Absolutely superb! Beautifully prepared and presented. Pat surprised my wife with a special little birthday dessert, which we both really enjoyed. Great place, we will be back often!

We had often walked by as we strolled Fifth Avenue but had never tried Yabba Grill. We are both very glad we made the reservation this past Saturday. The service was great from beginning to end, everyone very friendly and accommodating. I was intrigued by the options offered with the fresh sea food - many restaurants offer the choices as to how it is prepared, Yabba Grill offers choice of sauce as well. I had selected Mango Sweet and Spicy, but our waiter asked if I liked tomato and garlic, and offered to bring the Tomato Garlic Wine sauce as well. A great suggestion! My husband loved the Chow Chow Chicken. A great evening!

Our waiter and table service was excellent. Friendly and experienced staff and host. I felt welcomed and they sat us at what I felt was the best table in the house. The restaurant has great decor and its airy with a West Indies feel. Great music added that island touch. The food was good, not stellar. I'm glad we dined there. The kids were treated like royalty and received the cutest mini ice cream cones w/ a delicious scoop of ice cream. Thanks and we'll be back for sure!
