Younger visitors flock to this restaurant, which has a fun vibe and decor. My ONLY criticism of this place, or many of the Old Naples restaurants, is what we old timers call "Naples prices." All four of us had one of the chef's signature dishes, a crispy spicy grouper that is really outstanding. But at some $33, no matter how good it is, it seems like a rip. The Caesar salad is better than average, but the 95 cents extra for anchovies seems classless. The server was attentive, the menu selection wide and very islandy. The specialty drink tasted like a liquid watermelon Jolly Roger hard candy, & that's a good thing! Killer french fries, crunchy outside, soft and hot inner part. Cuban sandwich and fish tacos very tasty and fresh. Only small issue was the cold air conditioned air wafting onto the outside seating area. A few years ago we had a couple of poor meals and hadn't returned until yesterday. We had a wonderful table along Fifth Ave and the server, Adam, was outstanding. The food was very well prepared, and Adam made amends when I commented on the small portion of Mahi that I had ordered in comparison to my wife's salmon. As with any restaurant on Fifth Ave, you pay extra for the location. But it's worth it so long as you have.
