I have been going to Xixon since it was a little place with three tables and served only sandwiches. I have always loved the food! Xixon blossomed into the great restaurant it is today due to the personalized care of the owners/servers, and the quality and variety of the food. None of the dishes ever disappoint, however, the service can be slow at times, especially if you have a large party but the food makes up for it.

Authentic spanish recipes, beef tripe a la madrilena, stuffed baby squid and many more. Nice selection of spanish wines at very decent prices. Very extensive menu, I will go for sure again. We were a party of four, servers very accommodating,we had an early dinner before going to opera, the restaurant was not very busy at that time. So far the best and the most authentic tapas place I've been in South Florida.Excellent dining experience.

Xixion offers incredible, authentic Spanish cuisine. We enjoyed the tapas items and the wine. We brought our young children (ages 5 and 9) and they both enjoyed some of the items ordered as well. Our Spanish server was warm, friendly and great with the kids. She made great suggestions on food and wine and even did a little Spanish lesson with my girls. Overall a wonderful experience. One caution is if you are staying in Miami Beach area without a car.....it is about a $30 (each way) cab ride but TOTALLY worth it!

Best thing on the menu: Croquettes and Calamares. Chorizos a la sidra, the potato salad, and lentejas are also good. Chuletitas de cordero and solomillo de cerdo are overpriced. The famous Turron ice cream was very good, as well as the chocolate cake. I ordered the Trio de chocolate and someone brought a completely different dessert out, claiming they didn't have what I ordered. You don't do that to a customer. ASK me what I would prefer instead. Service was ok, not great. Expect to spend $40 per person. MAKE RESERVATIONS, especially on the weekend.

I knew things will not go well as soon as they told me that my reservation (done through Open Table) was there but there was no table, but a small bar table in a dungeon, not fit for the five of us. To say that the service was horrible will be unfair to the word horrible. Over priced food, bad service, and lack of ambiance, what a combination. If you have ever gone to Spain and walk into ANY tapas bar you will find out what a terrible place Xixon is.

Friends from out of town were visiting and we wanted to take them to a Spanish restaurant. We went early (7PM) to avoid the "scene". Our English speaking waiter was efficient and anxious to help us order the right amount of tapas for a well rounded meal. Some of plates are larger and some smaller. We ordered many things not on other menus around town. In the end we ordered 6 tapas, 2 salads and only 2 entres, it was plenty. The black drum fish and the lamb chops were great. We enjoyed the unique experience and plan to go back many times.

The first time I went to Xixon, I was part of large group and the menu had been pre-selected. I absolutely loved the experience. The wait staff was very efficient and polite. The food was delicious. As a result of this experience, my husband and I went to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. Sadly, I was very disappointed. Gone was the friendly wait staff and the food was okay. I think going to this restaurant has its limitatios if you don't speak Spanish which we don't, you are going to struggle ordering unless you view the menu in advance. I will say the bread was very good and we purchased a baguette to enjoy at home We will not go back.

After a friend's recommendation, my wife and I decided to try it and our experience was above our expectations. First, valet service is complimentary which when compared to other restaurants can easily cost you between $10 to $15 dollars extra. Secondly, upon our arrival our table was ready for us even though we noticed that there were other people waiting for tables so making reservations during peak hours like we did is highly recommended. Now to the food, we shared a couple of their signature Tapas which were tasty and most importantly very fresh. For our main dishes we had the Sirloin Steak and the Sea Bass both with excellent seasoning and rich flavor. Real nice ambiance, airy, modern and friendly service. We liked it a lot.

The food was decent, the prices slightly high for an off the beaten path location, but for God's sake, the server didn't speak English. I'm not saying she had broken English. Not. One. Word. I understand that it's Miami but we still live in the United States and you're in a SERVICE JOB. It is inexcusable and beyond stupid. Ordering a glass of wine should not be akin to a game of f*cking charades. Smarten up Xixon. Oh, sorry, I mean, Por favor retire la cabeza de sus traseros.

Had tapas - the garbanzo's were excellent, gambas ajo were cooked just right, octopus tender and seasoned just right, boquerones in vinegar and fried were delish! cheese dish platter was great. the only disappointed was the bacalao (cod fish) dish was good but lacked seasoning - a bit bland. we celebrated my mom's birthday and she was thrilled. The tasting wine bar is the best thing they have. Truly enjoyed the evening, the food, and the ambiance !! Will definitely go back.
