Diner Reviews
  • "Always good food with outstanding service. jevaun waited on us as he has many times before. The personality and quality of his service makes everything about your night out the best. He is always on his game. The manager even jumps in to help customers all the time. We don't go here just for music we come for dinner always . We look forward to both. Keith Flury"

  • "I have been to this location several times. It's my fave local place to see music acts and others, the food is usually pretty good too. On this visit, the shrimp and pasta was great, the white pizza was mediocre. The hummus and veggie plate was very good as usual. We had a trainee waiter so services was a little lacking compared to past visits, but that's understandable and okay. I guess the biggest complaint would be that our appetizer came out at the same time as our main dishes, but the waiter apologized ahead of time and let us know that was going to occur. I still love this place and hope that enough people go so that it stays open!"

  • "We were immediately seated thanks to our reservation but we waited approximately 21 minutes just to get a drink order. We also saw other people get up and leave because the wait was too long. We decided to stay and the service slightly improved and there was a live bank playing the Allman Brothers tunes and they were excellent. The food was excellent and we may try to visit again, hoping that maybe we caught them on an understaffed night."

  • "The food can be pretty good, but this place is about the music. Intimate upstairs, larger, but still comfortable downstairs. All different styles of music......rock, blues jazz, funk, etc. Check out the schedule and see for yourself."

  • "OUTSTANDING music and dining experience. Absolute PERFECTION."

  • "As is usual, the food was good, the service outstanding and the entertainment superb. This is my go-to place for entertainment and relaxation."

  • "The food is very good and at a reasonable price. The live music is fantastic!"

  • "We went to see The California Honey Drops used open table to reserve a table. I highly recommend. We had a great table with a wonderful view of the stage. We liked the variety of the menu. It had lighter options. We ordered from the weekly specials and enjoyed the food. The atmosphere is very nice. The bands that played were great! $12 for two very enjoyable, talented bands were a steal! Best night out for my husband and I in quite a while."

  • "I thoroughly enjoyed my show and food. Eggplant fries were delightful. My two waiters were always available and they checked on me unobtrusively through out the evening. My new favorite place!!"

  • "I would like to thank the gentleman who spearheaded the move to bring Lira to this setting. I drove in from Baltimore since I was going to be out of town when she came to Baltimore today and it was worth the drive. The sound was excellent & it was wonderful seeing this talented musician and her band in this setting. I have been raving about it. Lira was powerful and inspirational, in addition to being a great musician. Loved her & will hope that she returns."

  • "Wait time for drinks & service to long. Two server covering all tables."

  • "I really like this location. Unfortunately they are dreadfully understaffed. Two waiters for nearly 30 tables is a recipe for disaster. Service all night long was so dreadfully slow we eventually bypassed our waitress and started getting our drinks straight from the bar. In addition, the food is average at best, or at least was on our latest visit. The Braised Pork sandwich and Eggplant fries were good. But the so called Cajun Seasoned Fish Tacos had absolutely no Cajun seasoning. The Guacamole Dip appetizer was lacking in any kind of flavor. Even the tequila cocktail, which was supposed to have a rosemary infused syrup, was lacking any hint of rosemary. The music is always great. And I hope they succeed. But they have work to do."

  • "I had a great time as usual, I had the best waitress, she deserves a raise, from service she provided. Don't remember her name. She was an black woman small build with tattoos on the arms, and hair in a ponytail. She is an example of what a superior waitress should be. She is a complement to the excellent service at the Queen. The show was great, the service was what it should be anywhere in any place you eat. My girlfriend even talked about the service and how good she was. The Suite Franchon PLP show is the best."

  • "We were there 2 hours prior to the show and were still late. Had to track down the hostess so that we could get the check, who then tracked down our server, who then stopped at four other tables before handing us our check knowing our show had started. I would not recommend eating here if you are planning to watch a show downstairs. Very, very slow service."

  • "Friendly staff, good drink selection, and simple yet well prepared food items make this venue a good experience. Very convenient spot to eat that wont disappoint before a concert at the Queen."

  • "Food was good and our waiter was quick and friendly"

  • "Go any night for a delicious, flavorful and high quality menu. Even better, pick a night when there is live entertainment on their restaurant stage for a fun and intimate music experience."

  • "We went here for dinner and a concert. Food was excellent ... eggplant fries (who knew) were to die for. Great service and ambiance."

  • "We had a $10 restaurant.com gift certificate that they would not allow us to use because we had ordered two glasses of wine from the Happy Hour menu, even though we had another $45 worth of food and drink from the regular menu! Twice I had to go up to the bar to track down our waiter. It was convenient because we had a show downstairs to attend, however, on top of the certificate issue, the band that was going to be playing upstairs spent an hour going through sound check. (Our table was right in front of the stage, which was empty when we arrived.) Will only go back to the restaurant at some point to get my $10 worth of regular-priced food. Plenty of restaurants to choose from right around The Queen. "

  • "Food was outstanding. I liked the fact that the menu has so much for healthy eating. I will truly come back again for the menu items and the atmosphere."

  • "Food was prepared to order, wait staff very good, value for dollar was excellent. Drinks were a little pricey."

  • "Quite surprised at the quality of the food. Very respectable pub fare. Prepared as I'd ordered and quite tasty. Will be back!"

  • "Made reservations for a show and decided to eat upstairs, missed the first act, service and food was slow."
    Dined on 5/20/2014
  • "We thought we would have ample time to eat and go to concert at the venue. We waited 20 minutes without anyone coming to our table. Then someone came and apologized but we continued to wait for service. Finally server took drink orders only then disappeared. By the time food arrived we did not have much time to eat, and also one portion was missing without explanation given. Again had to chase someone down to find out that there was a delay on that item. Not a very good experience."
    Dined on 5/28/2014
  • "They need more servers! The few that are there cannot handle all the patrons eating during a big show. "
    Dined on 4/17/2014
  • "Both the food and service were excellent! I thought the prices were very fair and my wife and I are already looking forward to returning. They had two rockabilly bands playing on stage and they made the evening even more pleasant. The band Full Blown Cherry ROCKED!"
    Dined on 5/24/2014
  • "The dinner menu is limited. Salmon entrees were well-prepared, but the vegetable fried rice was more like a risotto texture... too mushy. Service was pleasant, but a bit slow and there weren't many other diners. "

  • "This was my seconid time eating at this restaurant, which is located inside the World Cafe Live at the Queen and is perfect for grabbing a small meal before a concert. Convenient to eat then proceed downstairs for the performance. The bar/drinks were great and not watered down. The staff were attentive, although as the restaurant filled up, our server rarely visited our table; however I am sure that if we needed service, we could have flagged a server down easily. I had one of the person pizzas, which was a bit disappointing. It was a nice, large for one portion for me, but although the crust was good, the pizza toppings could have been better (and more). The seating was close to others, but still felt warm and personal."

  • "Only hoped to get a quick lite bite before an evening performance, but found the café to be very congenial. The menu offered something for everyone. Nice selection of salads and starters. Best spot to unwind while gearing up for the night's entertainment. Wait staff are courteous and attentive. Casual and friendly ambience. Menu options for this particular evening were renamed to tie-in with the discography of the performing artist. Hey, if a place goes to that length, it's a safe bet the same TLC will be extended to diners. Enjoyed my meal. Always nice to visit The Queen."

  • "The Queen has great music, friendly staff, but the food is awful. Salads are okay, but expensive for what you get and no bread or crackers."

  • "My friend & I had tickets to see a show at WCL. It was suggested to us to reserve a table and I'm really glad we did! Everyone who reserved a table was sitting close to the entertainment while those who didn't were seated in the back or had to stand in the bar area. It was a nice set up & ambiance. The set up reminded me of a comedy club. The food was well priced. I had a falafel sandwich with a side salad for $11. My friend had chips & guac for $7. We both enjoyed our meals. I also had a vodka mixed drink for $7. I was happy to see that the prices weren't inflated like many concert venues. As for the service, our waiter was horrible. We were at our table for 25 min before Michael came over for the first time!"

  • "Its all about the live music here. Established bands and up and comers put it out there in a small venue which makes it a personal experience. Get up and dance if you like, we did..."

  • "Good food (limited menu), prompt service and great value. However the real feature is the great music. We have never been disappointed."
    Dined on 4/24/2014
  • "Second and last time trying to get a light meal here before a show. Food was OK, but service was horrible. Ridiculously long waits for everything, wrong information re: menu items, wrong items served when food finally came, multiple times reminding waitstaff to bring a drink or a side. Honestly thought I was being linked service was so bad."
    Dined on 4/18/2014
  • "Disappointed again in the food at the Queen. My friend wanted a burger and was told they were OUT of them. Really? We both had the falafel, which the waiter assured us was good. There were very few falafel balls in a huge naan with very little tahini sauce and NO lettuce or tomato. Disappointing!! We obviously didn't go for the food as we were there for a show, but next time I'll just eat first and stick to drinks as I've not liked the food in the past either. "

  • "Had Dinner at World Cafe Live at The Queen and then took in the show, Honey Child! Good food and great entertainment."
    Dined on 4/12/2014
  • "Food and service were good, the menus has a somewhat limited selection. There are only about 8 or 10 choices total (red & white) for wines by the battle. Selection of beer was a little better. I likely wouldn't make a special trip here, but it's OK if you're going to a show at the Queen."
    Dined on 4/12/2014
  • "We had dinner before our show. Everything was good. It was nice to be right at the venue for dinner. Very convenient."
