Diner Reviews
  • "Presentation and accessibility of food items was excellent. Ice sculptures were beautiful and very fitting to the occasion. Wait staff was very friendly and prompt to all all requests. Will definitely return for other special occasions. Easter Bunny was great!"

  • "The only thing missing was an ice sculpture or two. The food layout was lovely. Much fresh seafood including oysters and ahi tuna. Everything was delicious. There must of been 6 or 7 large stations with different categories of food. The young ones loved the chocolate fountain. Peeps and jelly beans galore. Desserts were beautiful to look at and the carrot cake the best I've ever had. Service excellent. Make reservations early-this year they were fully booked on Easter Day. Would definitely return."

  • "We had a wonderful time at Woolley's Easter Brunch. Ambiance in the Atrium was perfect for this special occasion, complete with a jazz trio. Food was amazing, many selections, and more new items added to the menu this year (lamb, Ahi tuna, etc). We get a kick out of the Peeps at the chocolate fountain! This is one of the few endless champagne brunches left in town. Price is right for all that is included. Staff from start to finish was terrific; this is a well-organized, well-executed event. Everyone on Woolley's service team is empowered to assist diners in any way necessary, very "customer-centric". Our expectations were exceeded. We'll be back next year!"

  • "Wooleys is a favorite for lunch. Atmosphere is so relaxing, staff the best, and the cooks amazing. I love the homemade soups, salad bar and what a treat to receive the yummy chocolate birthday cake too!"

  • "Food was excellent, service was very good. Kind of noisey as it is in the open of hotel atrium. Atmosphere is ok but the food and service made up for it."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. But as for us getting greeted from the host it was poor. Also it was not bizzey there at all and our waitress was very difficult to find and get service. We felt that the service was very poor for the high cost of our experience."

  • "This is our new favorate place for our Meetup Brunch. Quiet for conversation, accommodates large groups, menu variety. Most of all, the ambience is much appreciated. If it is rainy or cold outside, inside it is like dining in a beautiful garden."

  • "8 of us went to celebrate a bday. The food was great, service was fabulous, and we all enjoyed the experience. They even brought us a whole cake to help celebrate the birthday!"

  • "I went to Woolley's Steakhouse for a business dinner earlier this week and it was a great steakhouse. The food was fresh, the steaks were cooked perfectly, and they have a very comprehensive wine list. The servers were also very attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. Overall, it was great. When I travel to MSP, I'll be sure to stop here for dinner."

  • "We had the short ribs and they were fabulous. Inside a hotel basically right in the middle. A little noisy but it was worth it for the great meal!"
    Dined on 2/28/2014
  • "As noted in several reviews it was quiet and easy to have a business conversation. The steaks were done perfection, and the salmon dish was well plated and delicious. The service was attentive and friendly, but not obtrusive. The recommended appetizer plate was nicely prepared with a mix of steak and seafood - very little of it fried. The wine list was overpriced and boring. It was a perfect place for a late night meal close to the airport."

  • "Ventured out for restaurant week and decided to give Woolley's Steakhouse a try. We were impressed with the ambience, service, and food. All the tables are situated randomly in a surrounding consisting of live plants. The plant dampened noise and gave a little aroma too. Felt private. Waiter was neither too pushy or too slow. Had good knowledge of the menu and gave good recommendations. I took the recommendation and was completely satisfied. Dessert was a great compliment to the salad and entree. Price wise, 2 for less than $60 + drinks. Simply suggest to try it for yourself."

  • "Grandma Sue is the best waitress. She is so informative of the menu and wine list. The salmon and brown rice was very delicious."

  • "This is the 3rd time we've been to Woolley's and I believe each was for an aniversery. The food was very good, the service could have been much better and we've had better. We could have been seated in a quieter area but that was my fault for asking."

  • "Felt the value for the money not up to speed. Wait staff was the best part of the meal."

  • "Took the inlaws to lunch for father-in-law's birthday. Sadly, as both are in their 80's, they ordered a top sirloin and a filet medium-well (ugh). I got to taste the top sirloin as mom-in-law needs help cutting. It was still juicy - and it was delicious. My flat-iron steak was a perfect medium-rare and had the best flavor of any steak I've eaten in years. In the expansive lobby of an Embassy Suites, the foliage gives you the impression of tropical privacy, if there even is such a concept. Our server, Paco, was absolutely perfect in every respect. In short, I cant imagine a better birthday lunch for dad. It was all amazing."

  • "The food was great, although they overcooked my steak so I had to wait for a new. Service was great, they have a beer list as well as a wine list and feature decent craft brews on tap."

  • "This is the second time that my family met at Wooley's for Sunday brunch. The menu offers a range of choices to satisfy everyone and the food is good, but not exceptional. The main attraction is the beautiful atmosphere and the quiet. We have some family members who are hard of hearing and we appreciate being able to talk and hear everyone. Sunday is not their busy time, but service can be slow. We were not in a hurry, so had no problem waiting, but it is not a place for a quick meal."

  • "Four or us make Restaurant Week a regular reason to get together for fun times and good food with good prices. We have been very disappointed once but Wolley's was a wonderful experience. The choices for RW were excellent. WE all chose a different entre and would agree that the steaks are a hit. Prepared very tasty and just the right temp. The Bailley's dessert cake was wonderful. Big enough to share and take one home!"

  • "Hadn't been to Woolley's for about 20 yrs. I knew it was good 20 yrs ago but wasn't sure how it would be now. The food was excellent. My husband had the NY and son had Prime Rib. Both were very impressed and they are fussy about their steaks. I had a caesar salad and french onion soup. The french onion was awesome. The salad was just so-so. The croutons were my fave. But overall, a great place to have dinner. I didn't check the wine list so not sure about that. Hot spot and bar scene - not sure - didn't check that out. Kid friendly?.... I'm sure they'd accommodate but get a sitter. I'm sure the other guests would appreciate that. Don't know about lunch but I'm sure it's great. Fun to get cotton candy with out check. Something different!"

  • "We wouldn't have stumbled into the restaurant had it not been for Restautant Week. The menu had lots of options, plus half price bottle of wine with the deal. Service was perfect. It was quiet and intimate. We loved it!"

  • "Brought 2 business friends, one of whom we were interviewing for an executive position. Our server was great; attentive but didn't hover. Menu had plenty of options and the food was delicious. Thought it was a little expensive, but other than that we were glad we chose Woolley's."

  • "Fabulous dinner spot, great service from a team member that has been there a most 30 years. A couple food items took a little long to arrive from the kitchen. Awesome wine suggestion from our server. We look forward to our return."

  • "Wasn't sure about a resturant in a hotel but this place was great, sat in the Gazebo area and the noise level was low."

  • "We went for Sunday brunch after reading a lot of positive dinner reviews. It was not very good. My steak was well done instead of the medium I requested. The accompanying side of potatoes had lots of burnt bacon on top with the most bland "toast" which was just plain white bread barely toasted. The only high point was the service."
    Dined on 2/16/2014
  • "Concealed inside a bland (from the outside) hotel lies a tropical land full of potential. Woolley's truly was a diamond in an Arctic Rough."
