  • "When staying near the MSP airport one often winds up at a hotel near the Mall of America. The city and the Mall as I am told conspire to keep any other restaurants from the vicinity of the mall. Fortunately this restaurant is an alternative to the mall if you have transportation to get to the embassy Suites. The staff is terrific and the food is really good. A great refuge for the MSP traveler."

  • "I've dined at Woolley's several times. I've never had a bad meal and the service has been excellent. I've had steaks and fish, both of which were done well and presented nicely. Good wine list and the menu covers several food types, all of the steakhouse variety. I'd recommend all of the steaks and the walleye. It's an excellent restaurant in a hotel, which is a little unusual."

  • "Good wine and food coupled with great service. Our waitress Kelly was OUTSTANDING. The fillet was top notch as usual. However the shrimp/scallops had a risotto that was totally lost in too much salt. Hopefully it will be corrected next time. Don't order crab meet on the fillet for $7... there was maybe a tablespoon plus. The fillet is wonderful by itself."

  • "We discovered Woolley's as part of MN resturant week. The food is great, hand down. Service is good, but if they want to attract more than the local or hotel crowd, it needs to be stepped up. The only real down side is the hotel. The plants are so 1980's that is effects the dining expericene.but we'll go back, just ask for a specific searing area."

  • "We decided to go on a whim for Restaurant week and were so happy we did! We were really impressed with how many options were on the Restaurant Week menu, as most places have a very limited selection. The Diablo bites (not on the restaurant week menu) were amazing. The best part, though, was our service. I believe our waiter's name was Jesse (short hair, tattoo) and we have not had that great of service in years. He went and found Diet Coke (when the restaurant typically only serves Pepsi products) and made great recommendations on the menu. We'll definitely be back!"

  • "Our group of five tried Woolleys Steakhouse during restaurant week. it was new to all of us and we all loved it! The food was delicious, wait staff superb - friendly and knowledgeable, and the environment was beautiful. I was surprised to find this fine dining establishment inside an Embassy Suites hotel as it is on the higher end of price, but it was everything we hoped it would be. We drove nearly an hour to try this place and not one of us was disappointed in any way!"

  • "Went for restaurant week but ending up ordering off the regular menu because there were some interesting items. Food was delicious and our waiter John was awesome and fun! He made a great evening. He recommended the bread pudding for dessert. I am not a fan because of raisins. this one did not have any and it was AWESOME!! I loved it."

  • "We made reservations here for a Friday night, however we could had skipped that. The place was extremely empty (should have been taken as a clue). I ordered the Prime Rib (medium rare) and my wife ordered chicken. When the food arrived the prime rib was medium well instead of medium rare. It was 75% fat and the toughness of the meat was beyond any I have tasted at any "Steakhouse". The premium price far outweighed the value. We will not be returning to this restaurant."

  • "As our hopes where demolished because no one told us the main restraunt was closed so there was only bar food so that sucked I wished the restaurant would have let their customers know this on your web site and not take reservation for that day we will only come back if there is a complementary meal to make up for the screw up for that day all though the bar employee tried it was not what we expected as advertise in the local papers next time if you can not provide the proper service at least. Notify your patron"

  • "My wife and I took her mother and father to lunch for mom's birthday. We had previously taken dad here and this is where they chose to go again. They each ordered the sirloin steak, which they said was delicious. Sadly, they both order steak medium-well, so no telling how tender it might have been. My wife had the soup and salad bar and raved about the soup and the salad bar selections. I had the watermelon salad with Diablo chicken. The salad was wonderful, with a remarkable dressing (and very lightly dressed, at that). The Diablo chicken was a grilled chicken breast with spicy seasonings. It was juicy and tender, and the spice component was somewhat hot and very flavorful - just the way I like it."

  • "One of the best restaurants in the metro area (hidden away behind the Embassy Suites). Always outstanding. all meals here have been very, very good. I'm always impressed with the specials as well as the menu. We were here to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had reservations for later in the evening and stopped in to have an appetizer and drinks at their bar before dinner. Great beer selection as well as Happy Hour specials. Dinner was great and the service wonderful. We have been here before for dinner, lunch as well as their special Craft Beer dinners. We enjoy the friendliness of staff, quality of food, and presentation."

Service was friendly but slow and to top it off, we sat 45 minutes waiting to pay the bill without even water. The credit card system was not working correctly and we ended up having to use the ATM. The service is always top-notch/above-and-beyond what I experience ANYWHERE else, and this time was definitely not an exception. My wife and I were dining for our anniversary and Woolley's really rolled out the red carpet for us! We were treated to some sparkling wine from their extensive list of over 200 available bottles and at the end of our wonderful meal, we were treated AGAIN to a delicious cake to help us celebrate together even more. Obviously we will be returning for future events and I believe that a new anniversary tradition was born for us too :-)"

It was fun to try but I don't think we'll be coming back. Maybe we will try the restaurant menu someday.   • "The word could be crumbling as we speak and our 9 year-old would not mind as he has seen his Holy Grail, a chocolate fountain. We visited Woolley's based on researching through OpenTable which has never let us down. That streak continued with a fabulous Brunch for Mother's day where Mum had some excellent Filet Mignon and I had Oysters not to mention the amazing selection of meats, vegetable, breakfast foods, desserts and fruits. This was a great opportunity to try some of those things you are not sure of, for me Seared Tuna and the 9 year-old Oysters, booth successful. We will be back."
