The picnic table overlooked the trinity trail and the river. There was a man singing and playing guitar which was added a nice vibe. I had the cornish game hen which was the game of the day and it was good. It had a nice smokey flavor and juicy. It came with spelt and grilled artichokes which paired nicely with the dish.
My husband had the 1/2 rack of pork ribs with potato salad. The ribs fell off the bone and were tender and juicy with a nice smoke flavor. The BBQ sauce was good too. The potato salad is not your average potato salad this potato salad had a kick and was topped off with roasted garlic slices. The peach cobbler was good too. Started with a pitcher of Margaritas and some appetizers which were soooo good. Hummus with chips, grilled artichokes, smoked white fish - with a BBQ/smokey flavor - everyone loved them. Everyone loved their meals too - fish, ribs, bbq pulled pork - all very good. Fun, casual atmosphere, indoor and outdoor tables. Would be fine to have kids there, but a bit more of an adult atmosphere when we were there. TVs and regular tables inside, live music and picnic tables outside, saw dogs too. It's a great place to spend a few hours with friends drinking and having dinner, especially with nice weather like we had, it was perfect. I was recommended to go to this place and was not disappointed. I especially liked the ambiance and decor. There was no live music the night I went but the tv's were a nice touch. I also liked the fact the place was dog friendly. If I lived in Ft Worth, I'd bring my dog often. Food wise, I was looking to eat beef or pork being in Texas. It was refreshing to know I could get well prepared meats along side an asparagus sald or kimchi tacos (both were great) instead of the usual places that serve the meat doused in sauce, between two buns and maybe a side of average mashed potatoes or poorly made baked beans. Try the roasted artichokes. I had the Redfish that was "excellent" We had a 6pm reservation & they were very busy. Our waiter told us they had been busy all day & could possibly run out of items on the menu. We were able to order what we wanted. If they are running out of food at 6pm on a Friday night, they need to plan better. Don't get me wrong I would definitely go back, but you don't expect a place to run out of food when you are arriving at 6pm for dinner. I really wanted to try the beef shin/shank - but it's meant to be ordered for a group of 4... it was beautiful. I had the pork ribs, rabbit-rattlesnake sausage, and artichokes. All very good. My dining companion had the lamb tacos and thought it was a bit dry. I love the scene - the indoors, bar, and outdoors were distinctly separate areas but very well tied together. Several attractive young women paying more attention to themselves than to arriving guests. Glad though we didn't follow our impulse to leave. Our server Steve was knowledgeable attentive and helpful with solid suggestions. With three if us dining we sampled quail, ribs, and redfish. All superbly done with a Live twist. Wandered outside at dusk to enjoy the Fab setting and a better than Saturday night average band. We sat inside and the noise was a little higher than I would have liked but it was still acceptable. The outdoot dining area looked nice and equipped for cool nights, but the heat of summer may make it slightly unbearable.

When we arrived for our reservation at 5:30, the hostess was already giving people 45 minute waits. Our table was waiting and we were seated immediately.
The food was delicious and the restaurant was a lot of fun. I would avoid it in the dead of summer - all the seating is outdoors. When there is a live band playing the noise levels was high and made dinner conversation difficult except for the person sitting right next to you. But, all that said we would go back without a second thought.
The smoked hummus was crazy good, so was the "animal of the day" tacos and the hamburger.
