  • Private Party Facilities: Woodberry Hall, adjacent to our main dining room, offers an intimate dining area in a restored mill with exposed brick walls, soaring windows with custom drapery, and custom made farm tables. A private entrance ensures no disruptions or unexpected guests. The room is perfect for family gatherings, business holiday parties and pharmaceutical dinners. Woodberry Hall seats up to 40 guests for dinner or 60 for a standing cocktail party. Please inquire about available dates and our feasting menus.

Housed in a renovated 1870s foundry nestled in historic Clipper Mill, Woodberry Kitchen offers a warm, rustic setting featuring an open kitchen and patio seating during the summer season. Owners Spike and Amy Gjerde are committed to providing our guests with exceptional service and fare, earning Woodberry Kitchen recognition by Bon Appetit, The New York Times, and Gourmet.   • "Woodberry Kitchen is a nestled in a converted mill space off Clipper Parkway in Baltimore. I tried the turtle boy salad, broccoli soup and wood roasted sausages entree . All good dishes. Delivered in a timely manner and served at the perfect temperature (soup and entree). The service is attentive and knowledgeable. The bathrooms need to watched a little more closely so they remain tidy and fresh looking. I'll visit again."

  • "We don't get to Baltimore often, but on our last trip, one goal was to eat at this restaurant. Not disappointed! It rivals many of the best places in DC without the pretentious staff and high prices. Spike's goal to serve only local food really comes through in the fresh tastes and unusual ingredients on the menu. We both had beef which was organic and delicious, The salads, even in April, tasted just picked. But the most amazing thing was how knowledgeable and friendly the wait staff was. Our server did not hesitate to give us her honest opinion about everything we asked. Very refreshing! No up-selling at all. The tables upstairs have a great view of the action, but go for the porch in the summer. And the fabulous cocktails!"

  • "Definitely a quiet neighborhood gem tucked into yet another historic area of Baltimore. Surrounded by antique, crumbling buildings that hold their own intrigue, Woodberry Kitchen incorporates that intrigue with exposed brick and beams;rustic charm and appeal. The wait staff are all dressed to represent a simpler time in life (think Opie from Mayberry) and are very knowledgeable about both food and drink selections. Our waiter, Matt, was phenomenal with his descriptions of items and recommendations. The noise level is a bit high in the evening/night time so I don't recommend it for an intimate setting but great for a group of 3 or more. Enjoyed fresh fish, potent and creative drinks, divine dessert. Fresh, fun, friendly!"

We had an excellent meal with good food and service. The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant is fabulous. The only hiccup that we encountered was an overcooked steak, but the manager took care of it and still had us out the door in time for our show."

  • "The food is delicious and comes from local farms in the MD/VA Chesapeake region. The restaurant is in the old clipper mill area of Baltimore and the exposed brick walls look great. The mustard crusted VA fluke fish was outstanding. Perfectly cooked. For a quieter environment, ask to sit in the small dining room off to the side. Service was very good. We will definitely go back and recommend this restaurant to out friends."

  • "The oyster we got was amazing but I cannot imagine that they served as burnt flat bread (like seriously? It's the first time ever in my life that I've rolled my eyes seeing what they placed on our table. We paid a ton for our dinner to literally not able to eat it. The ambience is great for business/romantic dining. Their wine is good even though it's kinda expensive. But I will definitely not come back unless someone invites me."

The place was full of good vibes and the music meshed well. Couldn't have asked for a better server. Thanks to Brad our experience was on a whole new level! Knowledgeable, helpful, considerate, prompt, a true professional to our table. We tried the majority of the menu and I recommend the Charcuterie board, and any house made sausage you can get your hands on. Perfect Moscow Mule. We stayed much past the kitchen closing and we never once felt rushed. So grateful WK took care of us, we are spreading the good word in Roanoke, VA! Cheers WK crew, keep killin' it!"

  • "My husband and I travel from PA to experience the wonderful food and atmosphere at Woodberry Kitchen! There is nothing that compares in our area! We recently brought our young adult children to enjoy all that we had been beaming about; they were not disappointed. We tried a wide variety of fresh menu selections and to our waiters delight there was not a crumb or morsel left on any of our plates! The wine, cocktail and beer selections are perfectly matched to the ever changing and delicious main fare. We try to make Woodberry Kitchen a once a month happening in our lives. We highly recommend booking your reservations well in advance-just mark it on your calendar and count down the days to having a fantastic dining experience!"

  • "My parents and I showed up 20 minutes early for our reservation and were seated immediately. Our servers were very friendly and gave great recommendations on food and drinks. When our food arrived, my dad's steak was a bit too red for his taste, and the waitress took it back to the kitchen and had it back in front of him, cooked to perfection, in a matter of minutes. The atmosphere is very active, so it is not the best place to have a quiet conversation over a candle-lit dinner. Nevertheless, the food was outstanding, and we all had an exceptional dining experience. Much love to Woodberry Kitchen!"

  • "Maybe "Top 5" is not fair, since I haven't visited every restaurant in Baltimore. But I would put money on it! This place is such a gem. It is pricey, so best used for special occasions. So pricey in fact, one would almost say the food is not worth the it. But with the level of service, quality of food, location and overall experience, I didn't have much trouble accepting the price tags. I will definitely be back."
