  • Private Party Facilities: Woodberry Hall, adjacent to our main dining room, offers an intimate dining area in a restored mill with exposed brick walls, soaring windows with custom drapery, and custom made farm tables. A private entrance ensures no disruptions or unexpected guests. The room is perfect for family gatherings, business holiday parties and pharmaceutical dinners. Woodberry Hall seats up to 40 guests for dinner or 60 for a standing cocktail party. Please inquire about available dates and our feasting menus.

  • "We sat outside on a cool summer evening. The atmosphere and ambience were terrific. The wood burning fire pit with a circle of stones and benches to sit on makes for a great experience. Our server was so warm, friendly, attentive, and funny, it really made the evening. The food here simply makes my mouth happy! Well prepared dishes, well presented, quantity is just right...not too much, not too little food. The mixes of flavors and toppings is extremely well done. Free Valet parking adds a touch of class."

  • "Excellent menu and excellent food every time we've been. Service can be a little uneven—this last time, our server was very nice but a little bit disorganized, gave our appetizer to the table next to us, sent my boxed salad home with the wrong people, BUT, then she went right to the kitchen and got them to make me a new one, so it was all good. Can be a bit noisy in the main space; if you can be seated in the small room off to the side, the view is less impressive but much quieter."

  • "Even though this creative business is expanding into butchery and peddling home-canned items at markets, there has been no drop off in their primary mission. Once again, the meal was extraordinary. The wait staff is lovely (acting and looking). Calm, professional, efficient. Only one slip up: our deviled eggs orders at the start were missed. Otherwise, the small plates and entrees were wonderful and HAD to be shared. The gluten-free menu is creative, awesome). Great wine list, but pricey. While the main dining room is noisy, and the side room is communal (my daughter says it reminds her of Cracker Barrel), the outdoor seating on this night was beautiful. With a breeze blowing, we could have been in Napa instead of central Baltimore"

  • "After reading so many great reviews about WK, we decided to go and try the place out for my birthday. We tried the Zucchini Blossoms (which were not bad but needed more beer-flavor in the batter), Chilled Cucumber Gazpacho (amazing!), Mac & Cheese (could have used more fish pepper or snake oil) for starters. I ordered the Summer Vegetable Noodles for my main dish and my wife ordered the pheasant. She LOVED her entree whereas while mine was not bad but I didn't think it was "great". Desserts=AMAZING! I tried the smoked-cherry nib ice cream, and I can still feel the taste in my mouth when I close my eyes and imagine it."

  • "I didn't think I could go wrong choosing Woodberry Kitchen for a 22nd wedding anniversary dinner, but I did. I am a big fan of the restaurant generally, but the evening was disappointing. "We have a couple tables finishing up outside" turned into a 35-minute wait. Not something I expected for an 8:45pm reservation time. When I gave up and asked to be seated, we were taken upstairs where the noise level is LOUD and the seating not at all conducive to an intimate dinner between 2. The $12 cocktail amounted to ~1.5 oz and was mediocre. Smoked trout salad was mediocre. The entrees, chicken and biscuit and rock fish, were excellent, fortunately. The desert, blueberry rhubarb cobbler, was burnt on top and the ingredients didn't cohere."

  • "We booked our reservation a month or so in advance. I also put in the comments section that my husband and I are vegan. We mentioned this to our server, who had no previous knowledge of our dietary needs. We ordered the flatbread with squash and peanut pesto. When it arrived at our table it was simply a flatbread with thinly sliced squash and some fennel for garnish. Needless to say this was disappointing and when we asked our server about it she said the pesto was not vegan. We sent the food back and were annoyed that there were not any other options and asked for the check. The manager came over, apologized, gave us a free bottle of wine and made sure we got a better flatbread and we did."

  • "Caught the reservation as a lark, and the place did not disappoint. Table was open on time, nice view of the neighborhood. Server was just outstanding. He explained everything very well, answered all questions, gave insight on difference between menu items. the salad was special. great combo of greens, cheeses, bacon, fried egg. we both got the soft shell crab entrees and these were done perfectly. the wine pairing was spot on also, a light New Zealand white. Dessert was a large parfait glass filled with ice cream, chocolate, marshmallow, peanuts. About 1000 calories of delicious. The valet parking, which is complimentary, is really a nice treat, also."

  • "We had a late supper at Woodberry Kitchen on July 24. The place was busy, great atmosphere, very friendly service from our arrival right through. The food was fantastic from our first small plate all the way through to dessert (the CMP was truly spectacular!) The outdoor dining space looked wonderful with a great fire pit and perfect lighting. We will certainly be back!"

  • "Menu was local and a nice selection but somewhat uninspiring. Many dishes needed more seasoning and the pop of an acid to brighten and add complexity to the flavors. Service is always a certain degree of miss.... we were served our appetizers before we even got our cocktails and had to remind our server that we had not gotten them. I have been there many times and have found the same sluggish service every time. I would not make this a favorite of mine.. but my son wanted to try it again. There are much better restaurants if you're looking for good to great food in Baltimore."

  • "We go to Woodberry fairly often, I would say once or twice a season to get a taste of summer, fall, winter and spring. This time we went to celebrate a 25th birthday. The food was great, the server was ok- he was constantly coming over to the table and interrupting conversation and when he did so he did it in an arrogant, snide way. It was weird. Other than that, it was great!"

  • "Our first time at Woodberry Kitchen. Our server was perhaps over attentative to start then somewhat absent towards the end. Highlights included the beauitful ex-industrial neighborhood and the wonderful ambience in the restaurant. We loved our appetizer (squash blossoms) but found the vegetarian pasta (we specifically went on 'meatless Monday' as we are vegetarian) to be pasta heavy and vegetable light. While the pasta was very flavorful, I think we were expecting more of a veggie-extravaganza for the meal price."

  • "This was my second time at Woodberry, but my first time going for brunch. I loved everything that was brought out! Between three of us, we had the Anaheim Pepper Sausage, the Cast Iron Blood Sausage, and Gold Potato Hash Brown as well as Pickled Eggs and the Butter Milk Sherbet. Everything was wonderful and flavorful. The portions were just right! Service was great! I highly recommend Woodberry for brunch if you've only come for dinner!"

  • "We always have a good time at Woodberry - whether it be brunch or dinner or drinks. For the first time, I tried their ricotta pancake and it's a CAKE! Seriously...they make it in a cast iron skillet and it's not your typical thin pancake - it's about an inch thick and the full size of the pan! It was delicious AND I had leftovers for later. Paired with some local bacon and a bloody mary, it was a wonderful brunch."

  • "My 81 year old dad wanted to go here for his birthday- he'd read about it and thought it sounded nice! He enjoyed his birthday dinner and recommended it to me. Keep in mind his usual meal comes from the freezer... but I made a reservation anyway for the next time we came to Baltimore to visit him. We have been to the finest restaurants living in NYC for the past 16 years, and traveling all over the world. And we were so happy to discover that Woodberry Kitchen ranks up there. The renovated mill setting is terrific, the menu changes daily and offers unique twists on every dish, the service was attentive but not intrusive. The sommelier helped choose the perfect wine and the four of us enjoyed every bite. Looking forward to next time!"

  • "The ambiance of the restaurant and surrounding area was excellent: both outdoor and indoor seating areas were cozy and inviting. The service was good: attentive without being around too often. The one thing that was a bit disappointing was the food. We went in with high expectations, having heard that it's a great area farm to table restaurant. It was good but lacked the unique flavors I would expect given its reputation and price. I had a pasta dish with veggies, and was excited that it featured fennel as this can be hard to find, but it seemed to be overcooked and so had lost most of its flavor. The main flavor of the dish was saltiness and butter, so it got boring as each bite tasted the same. Good menu, not so good execution."

  • "Excellent food at the Woodberry Kitchen. However the drink prices are very steep. Our sever was super nice, but rarely seen. It is very noisy and seating is super close. Our Anniversary dinner reservation would have been romantic if the table given would have been more secluded or offered us outdoor seating where the noise level would probably been different outside. If you want romance, this may not be the place for you."

  • "We had this place on our list for several years and regret not going sooner. The atmosphere is very cool. We started with a Pinot Gris suggested by our waiter. LOVED IT! We ordered the crab dip and mac and cheese for apps. The mac and cheese with "snake oil" a big hit, the crab dip was the winner!. We had the flat bread, Sausage w/veggies, Flat iron steak w/ au gratin potatoes, fish and chips. My husband tried a bite of everthing and said the steak was the winner. But there where no loosers. Dessert we shared - was the berry cobbler with ice cream and the sundae thing (CSP?) that was over the top great. We look forward to returning - and sooner than the several years we waited. MAKE A RESERVATION!"

  • "Decided to try this as my best friend from Colorado came to visit us in Baltimore. I wanted to find an eclectic place for a devout foodie, and this was it. The actual ambience and physical look of the place is stunning, and the staff fits in with it perfectly (very nice too). The menu was amazing, and one could call it glorified gourmet farm food (considering the sustainable-farming efforts of the restaurant). Definitely a must, and go at night because the place, outside and inside, really lights up! This is a must if you want great dining in Baltimore."
