My last dining experience here was not up to par. However that was clearly an off day. The food is always great here as is the service. We came to celebrate our anniversary. Everything we ordered came out hot and fresh. We will be coming back soon with some family.

Discovered Woodberry Kitchen on a return trip from Philly to D.C. and now find that it's worth the drive (even in rush hour traffic). It's a dining "experience." The food is wonderful and is equaled by the atmosphere, the vibe and the knowledgeable and friendly service. Spike -- hope you'll bring your magic to D.C. someday!!

We were at Woodberry for our 35th Wedding anniversary, had heard a lot about it. We heard that it was crowded and noisy, which it was. However, we thought the atmosphere was great, but can see how others would be turned off by it. Food was outstanding ! Nice touch bringing out our desserts on a plate with "Happy 35th Anniversary" written in chocolate. Minor complaints" 1. The website is very much out of date. Directions indicated to turn on Union Avenue and look for the house with the large sign...we saw no sign and ended up coming around from the back. Site looked like it had not been update in years. 2. We were never asked if we wanted another drink. Both minor issues. All in all, we really enjoyed ourselves and had a great evening !

The whole evening was one plate of deliciousness after another. My date and I made a meal of the top sections of the menu (starters, snacks, etc) and never bothered with entrees -- better sharing that way. We had corn/crab soup (delicious!!), a rocket salad that took salad to new heights of flavor, smoked swordfish belly w/noodles that was only outdone by the amazing comfort food that is their mac 'n' cheese (so gooey and cheesy and flavorful it almost made me feel guilty for feeling the need to ask our server if it was worth ordering). Currently (late August) anything that has tomatoes in it (including the tomato gravy on the shrimp and grits) is OUT OF THIS WORLD because the tomatoes are at peak perfection. Don't skip dessert either!!

Woodberry has been a favorite of mine for years. They've never disappointed. Brunch, lunch, dinner and dessert only, I've been impressed with every dish I've had. The serving team are also well versed in the menu and wine list. I often ask them for recommendations and they tend to be spot on.

Celebrating a good friend's birthday, brought us from Annapolis to have brunch at Woodberry Kitchen. We had heard and read outstanding things about this restaurant and were anxious to find out for ourselves just how true the chatter was. Our experience was perfect from start to finish and we left knowing that we would surely be back for more great service, more delicious food, and more of the relaxed and interesting setting. Yes, we had a fantastic first visit to Woodberry Kitchen.

I have been to woodberry many times in the past but this time really fell short of the mark. We sat outside at a table that was directly in the sun, and when we asked to have them adjust the umbrellas so that we were shaded, they were less than accommodating and we ended up moving to a table that wasn't much better. There were tables with children on either side and they were very loud and distracting. The service was average at best and I was not satisfied with the meal I ate. Usually the food at woodberry is excellent, but this experience rubbed me wrong. Don't know if I will be back.

We brought two out-of-town guests to Sunday brunch . . . and they're already planning to visit again on their next trip. The food and atmosphere are incredible. The food is fresh, the drinks are fun - and the pace is luxuriously casual. We didn't feel rushed at all as we sipped french-pressed coffee and cocktails in the late morning sun. Our waitress was a little aloof and we had to prompt her for water refills - but the food and ambiance make up for any lacking service.

The food was wonderful. It is important to me to know the source of my food. A lot of restaurants who use "local" "organic" etc marketing lines use this important philosophy as a ploy. The menus don't reflect where things come from. The servers definitely don't know/care about your questions re: source. WBK CARES. It's equally as important as the quality of the food and the atmosphere. We went this past Saturday and left very happy. The server made it not perfect. While knowledgable, he was a snob. (funny to me) He acted like he was doing us a favor. We were celebrating my mom's 84 and a promotion = happy occasion but each time he came to the table there was a bit of dread. Great service in the past prevailed. Still in love with WBK.

We were stuck in traffic on 695 and arrived just after 11 when the kitchen closes. Everyone was very nice and we were able to have a few snacks and tasty flatbreads without feeling like we inconvenienced anyone. Was very sad to hear the Moscow Mule's are no longer available due to the lack of ginger. Very sad!

Food was excellent - but unfortunately our server fell apart during the second part of our meal. It's as if we disappeared once the food came. Went for over 20 minutes without drinks - not even water. And no one came by to ask! And while I did get a surprise birthday treat...it came to the table AFTER we already paid the bill and were preparing to leave. Good thing we had a wait for the cab. Took a month to get this reservation...at this point, the only reason I'll go back is because i have a gift card to use, which we forgot, of course, after all that. Hopefully they'll redeem themselves. Too many great choices in Baltimore not to get 4 or 5 stars across the board.

This is obviously a very popular spot as getting a reservation is nearly impossible. Clearly the reservation is just a line placeholder since we arrived for an 8pm reservation and were seated at 8:50pm with no communication except for a "thanks for your patience" from the hostess when seated. The food was good but not amazing and not worth the hype or the wait. There are so many other great choices in Baltimore!

I went here on a Wednesday night and it was packed tight. I made reservations and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, it was that packed. The service was spot on, albeit a bit too spot on, and it felt kind of rushed during the first two courses. The food was good and filling (pickled eggs, wood oven sausage plate and the espresso float), but the noise level was high at the bar and it fills the room. If you're looking for something more peaceful go with the patio seating. Overall, I had a pretty good time. Minor issues popped up, but the food was delicious and well thought out and the service was kind and courteous.

Celebrated our anniversary with dinner on the terrace. Only about a dozen tables out there so we were fortunate! So nice and quiet, compared to the main dining room. Their attention to the needs of gluten-free diners is impressive. New gluten-free biscuits are tasty and tender. Crab pot with gf toasts was sinfully delicious--lots of lump fresh crab. Toast was worth eating even on its own! Squash salad was a nice aciidic complement--piquant, and unique. My husband's sausage platter was also very flavorful--sausages, potatoes, onions and peppers all perfectly prepared and the creamy mustard sauce just perfect. Another meal that left us comfortably full, truly satisfied, but wanting to return again soon!

This restaurant is definitely off the beaten path, but it is a great experience once you find it. Everything about the place is different. The menu, the building, the drinks, the service. Different in a GOOD way. If you are looking for an Applebees or Longhorn type of menu, you will not find it here. The menu is very eclectic, natural and local grown foods. Combinations of recipes you have never heard of before. But the quality is top notch. Excellent cooking and taste. No complaints. Oh, and the pricing is very reasonable too!

Kind of a unique place for a special celebration. Food was good but not great. Menu was okay at best and for the price, portions were small. There beef offering was weak and prices were higher than average. Sirloin steak as a featured steak for the price made the menu weak in my opinion. The beef rib was very good. The service was the best we have had in long, long time. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and made very good recommendations. All in all I would go back for a special event.

We were originally disappointed that the Orioles game was cancelled due to rain, but we couldn't have been happier how the evening turned out. A friend recommended we go to Woodbury Kitchen and we were ecstatic just about the decor and location. All the dishes were so decadent and delicious, we had to get three appetizers! Not only is the good outstanding, the service made you feel like it was your everyday coffee stop. Even though Woodbury Kitchen is four hours from my home, it's definitely worth the drive.
