"Excellent food and ambiance, but the restaurant is too noisy and the smoke from the open kitchen a bit to present. But we would go back of course. Lovely reinventions of "classics" like duck buns and lobster with eggs."

"I made the reservation based on Mario Batali's mention of Wong in his Foodie 50 top things to eat in Manhattan which mentioned the roasted duck ice cream (which was fabulous and the accompanying sablé cookie was one of the best I've ever had). We sat at the kitchen bar and watched all going on in a very tightly run kitchen. Service was very good, personal and personable without being intrusive. Drinks recommendations were on the mark. My guest showed up 30 minutes late and we stayed for over two hours without any pressure to leave. The only hesitation I have is that the suggested price range of $31-50/pp set the check expectation low. Totally worth it though. Highly recommended though if you are there when full it could get quite loud."

"Why Wong seems to be on eveyrone's hot list I'm not sure why. The food is amazing fresh and I get the whole farm to table. But something was just missing. I can only give it 3 of 5 stars and that was pushing it!"

"The food was better than the first time I was there shortly after they open. Port belly was amazing. Tender and juicy. Shrimp dinner has a lot of flavors, just delicious. Will definitely go back."

"Food was pretty solid; kale was a bit "wet" in more of a low-end chinese preparation, and the cauliflower with peanut sauce dumped on it I'd skip next time. Wine by the glass were disappointing and the best was out of stock. The tap wine was like grape juice. They need some professional wine guidance and to realize that is worth paying for. Egg Foo Young was good but lacked cohesion. Duck bun and duck ice cream were the best things we ordered. Would try again and would like them to succeed, but things need to be tighter."
