Wolf's Ridge Brewing is a family owned and operated craft brewery and restaurant, created as a result of our long and deepening love for both craft beer and food. Wolf's Ridge Brewing was born through the deep desire of the owners to create a gathering space for other craft beer and food lovers in the downtown Columbus community. Our goal is to build a microbrewery and restaurant that becomes a proud member of the community, where we provide our patrons with a wonderful dining and drinking experience.

The concept is centered on the idea that by focusing on craft and locally sourced products as much as possible, we are staying true to our primary goal of supporting and emulating the community in which we reside.

They could seriously use some canvas art work on the wall or some egg crate under their chairs/tables to absorb some of the sound bouncing of all their shiny and polished surfaces. It really is hard to have a conversation when they are busy. Sound aside, highly recommended."

There are other brew pubs in Columbus, but this is one of the best. The selection is impressive, and of the ten different beers we sampled not a single one was disappointing. Look out Elevator, these guys know what they are doing."

  • "This is the best restaurant that I have been to in Columbus. The food (I had Jambalaya, my boyfriend had duck), was top notch, and interesting without being too over the top. We also did a beer flight, and the Wolf's Ridge beer was fantastic. Service was also impeccable -- we had a great waitress who provided just the right amount of service and humor when she checked in on us. This is a very cool spot -- its was great for a couple, but would also be a great place for a large group."

While the menu is somewhat limited, the food quality is outstanding with an ecclectic mix of "expected" pub faves (e.g. burger), mixed with surprisingly upscale dishes like scallop crudo, pigs' cheeks, and several seafood options. We were impressed enough to guarantee a return visit, with friends who appreciate great beer AND great food."

  • "Went with a coworker to Wolf's Ridge for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. It was not very busy and we were served promptly. They have a large selection of draft beers. We both choose to get a flight of 5 beer samples, which gave an opportunity to try some of their different offerings. I really liked the Beta beer and my coworker liked the Alpha the best. The sandwiches were also very good - I had the Po' Boy and he had the Bahn mi, which is a braised pork sandwich. The garlic fries were crispy and not too garlicky. Will definitely come back again."

  • "For most of our group, this was our first time at Wolf's Ridge for dinner - we all really liked our food and everything was prepared and presented well. We liked the long, family-style tables and the casual atmosphere, but the noise level is a little high for trying to communicate among a bigger group. Overall, though very good. One person in the group had the duck and found it to be prepared just right - and the desserts were really delicious!"

  • "I found the host to be rude which is not a good first impression when entering a restaurant for the first time. Then my brother explained the situation to me. I had gone to change my reservation from 2 to 4 people. I Made a mistake and it didn't take on open table. Anyway he was upset because it was a busy night and they maybe didn't have room for us? It worked out! Food was excellent!"

  • "Outstanding! This restaurant sets a very high bar for a combination craft brewery/ restaurant. The menu is concise yet innovative, with no section neglected. I love the opportunity to order flights of their beer, every one of which has so far proven delicious. While the restaurant is not inexpensive, I consistently have come away feeling that excellent value was delivered relative to our tab. My one suggestion would be that the owners soften the interior just a bit. Wood tables, unpadded wood chairs, and wood floors allow the noise level to occasionally rise to levels where conversation becomes an effort."

I was surprised as it wasn't too crowded last night (Rib Fest perhaps) so one of the complaints I had heard about (it being very loud inside) wasn't too an issue for us but I could see how it would be if it were more crowded. The food was spot-on excellent, prices weren't outrageous and the beers were very good - it'll definitely hit the rotation moving forward for *adult nights* in our house or when I need to entertain work folks coming to town as it seems to have a great vibe and the large communal tables down the middle would be great for a work function. We'll certainly be back to try other things on the menu."

  • "The lobster bisque tasted like BBQ sauce with ketchup. Very disappointed that I paid $10 for a soup that didn't even have chunks of lobster meat in it. Not sure how they constituted the caprese as a caprese, very far from it and they went overboard with the smokiness. Overall, it just seemed like they tried way too hard to be trendy in the gastropub scene to the point that their food was all over the taste. I could go on about the meal my boyfriend had, but I am running out of characters."

  • "My husband & I dined at Wolf's Ridge for an early dinner. We really enjoyed the scene: community tables, minimalist décor, casual atmosphere. I had a Belgian Wit & my husband had a Belgian Tripple & Pale Ale. We ordered several small plates to share. The melon salad was a fresh start. Next, the scallop crudo was super fresh. The texture of the scallop was soft and it tasted like the sea with a slightly spicy pepper & pea shoots on top. We also tried the pig cheeks - probably our favorite. The flavor of the pig cheeks is like the best dark meat you have ever tasted (think the oyster of a turkey). Next, sweet breads w/ peach BBQ sauce, amazing! We finished off our meal w/ chocolate layer cake which was decadent to say the least."

The menu was very limited since it was getting switched out and even though I had made a reservation well in advance we were seated at a long banquet table that it made it difficult for the folks on opposite ends to converse. When seated we were told "hopefully, it won't get too busy and we will have to seat others at the other end of the table." Thankfully this did not happen or there would have been one very unhappy customer. The lamb and desserts were the favorites and were excellent."

  • "We were thrilled to get a last minute reservation and were seated immediately, which was great. Our server was very knowledgable and helpful with suggestions for drinks and food. We were very pleased with our meals and the overall atmosphere. The only issue was our server disappeared for long periods of time including after her introduction and before coming for a drink order. We had to ask another server to find her after 11 minutes of waiting. That was our longest wait, but not the only one. We will go back... But hope we get a different server."

  • "We visit Columbus a lot and have often lamented the relative lack of places to eat dinner right downtown. Wolf's Ridge is easily within walking distance of many of the downtown hotels. Seating is mostly at long, group tables so be ready to share. It's fairly noisy when the house is full. The menu features fewer than a dozen entrees but is more inventive than typical brew pub fare. We had a hard time deciding what to order before settling on the small grilled vegetables appetizer, followed by perfectly med-rare lamb chops with garlic roasted red potatoes and the paella. Delicious seasonal strawberry/rhubarb pie for desert. Of course, there's plenty of beer, their own on tap and a selection of other craft offerings in bottles and cans."

  • "We had dinner here for my husband's birthday, and Wolf's Ridge exceeded our expectation. He had been eyeing the sirloin steak dinner of a companion's meal a few months ago, and the dish did not disappoint. My haddock was flavorful, artistically presented, and just the right texture. Our frog legs were a good start to the evening and the dessert, the hopped creme brulee was a near-perfect endnote. The server was knowledgable about the menu and seemed to have our best interests - and my gluten-free diet-at heart. We will be making this restaurant more of a regular stop."

  • "My husband and I made reservations for our first wedding anniversary, we both had never been. We absolutely adored WRB! The food was beyond delicious, I was happy to be enjoying food that was prepared well and made in house. I got the duck and my husband, the rib-eye & we both were beyond satisfied!! They also surprised us, in celebration of our anniversary, with giving us our dessert for free! The staff were chill and friendly, the restaurant/bar was clean and looked like it belonged in NYC! The charcuterie was delicious including the IPA mustard. The duck taco's sweetness was balanced by the smoky sour cream - yum! The rhubarb-strawberry tart was a great finish to my meal. My husband got a flight of beer which he liked all of them so much he almost got a growler to take home. The meals were amazing, we had the venison and the special was elk and both were completely delicious! Loved his place and can't wait to go back to try the brunch! "
