  • "The filet mignon while generous wasn't cooked as requested partly due to its thickness. Other steakhouses offer to butterfly the meat so that it may be cooked the way you want it. Had to send a plate back to be recooked. Rib-eye steak was blackened throughout the whole exterior and while I understand its a way of cooking in high heat to preserve the juiciness, it wasn't visually appealing. The same with sauted onions. The fish-of-the-day was salty and had too much sauce which overpowered the fish. The portions were generous though (rice, Cesar's salad, steak fries) were enough to feed the 5 of us. Expecting so much more for the money paid. Not bad but would probably go back to the other two steak houses a few miles down the road. "

  • "First off I'd like to say the service is excellent. However, we were disappointed with what we ordered. We saw there was a Wolfgang special salad and ask the waiter what was In it. He told us what was in it except he left out the fact that it didn't sit on a bed of lettuce, it sat in a piece of iceberg lettuce. It was ok, but it would have been better combined with a mixture of lettuce greens. The mushroom and steam broccoli was good. We all had ribeye, it was ok. We had better. I don't think I would go back and pay that much money for a steak that was okay, I think Morton's steaks are much more tastier and it's comparable in price."

  • "I made reservation for my husband birthday dinner. I noted that this is birthday dinner and we also have infant w/stroller. So on that date, they escorted us to the quiet and corner place. But it's by the window. We could enjoy Waikiki view! The end of the dinner they brought the cakes to husband and sing a song:) Steak is great, server is friendly, clean restaurant! Everything was perfect!"

  • "I have gone to this restaurant twice; once with a sizable group (seven or eight people) and once with three people. Both times, the service and food were amazing. The service was polite and not overbearing, and made good recommendations when i asked them. You'll kick yourself for not trying their bacon (and also the Bite the Bulleit if you drink bourbon). I have had the following items: NY Prime, Filet Mignon, Salmon, and over half of their side dishes. All were delicious. Also, when you go to a nice steakhouse, you expect a small portion, but the portion sizes here exceed expectations (sides are big enough to share). There is a large selection of wines, and their cocktail/martini menu is also wonderful. I recommend it to my friends."

  • "The service started out pretty good but then our waiter was MIA for a long time. My husband had a great steak that was huge. Then he got a complimentary cheesecake for his birthday. There were highs and lows so I would not recommend for special occasions because it could be a hit or miss."

  • "This is not my first time though this time was "ok". We had group lunch at there though, they gave our table to someone and we had to wait for a little while. I made reservation through this site! Not too many stuff and we had to wait for order. They served only 1/2 cup of coffee! Yes, they gave us a pot of coffee later but again, we had to wait for it. Food was okay but not good as dinner time. I understand that very busy at lunch time but cold foods, 1/2 cup of coffee, take a long time to take our order and bring our order won't acceptable."

Only thing questionable is they market themselves in fine dining however when most people are dressed up and I asked about customers wearing baseball hats, their reply is we are casual. Well for a bill of 1200.00 dollars that night I think they are ore than that and that policy kind if detracts from a luxury night out. Anyway all good!!"

  • "The food and service is always great, but we were disappointed this time. Upon being seated I noticed two of the plates on the table for the bread had dried out left over food on it. I kindly asked our waiter to replace it. He was not apologetic or anything but took the plates and came back with new ones. I could tell by the way he placed them he wasn't too happy. It wasn't like he did this or that wrong, but you can tell he wasn't pleased to serve you. He was just unpleasant. Even my wife and kids took notice of his attitude. Anyways to top it off, on our way out after paying, our waiter came out after us asking where our signed receipt was. I told him one of his help took it away. He should have first checked with someone else."

  • "They serve the best steaks in Hawaii. This beats out BLT and Mortons easily. The only problem was that they were so busy. Tons of tourists were packed in there, even at 5:00 PM. The presentation of the lobster and oyster appetizers was great."

  • "But first, before anything, get rid of the standard bought in a bag from the grocery store sesame seed bun. Everyplace has that same sesame seed bun. No good burger maker wants you to taste sesame seeds instead of the burger. No sesame seeds, no sesame seed buns. Look at any restaurant where they have the best burger in town. Not one of them use a sesame seed bun. Another item easy to add to the menu are twice baked potato"

  • "I took a co-worker here for her birthday. The offer lunch specials in addition to the regular menu. But what I was really after was the bacon. Three of us split 2 orders. It's just so good. I would just order the bacon and add it to something else to make a meal."

  • "I had read the reviews, mostly good, some not great - so hoped for the best. Food was mediocre at best. Lamb chops were mostly fat - fortunately we did not have to pay as they agreed. Even my filet mignon had fat - which I've never experienced before. Service was average, it's quite loud - not the vibe you'd expect for a fairly high end - high priced, nicely decorated restaurant. A real tourist trap. Unfortunately will not be going there again."

  • "Was looking forward enjoying a Valentine's dinner with my husband of 28 years. We arrived with high expectations for a great meal however with the crowded spacing, over active waiters, rude front door hostess (not to us but to a family next to us), and noise, we could not enjoy our $52.00 steak (each). The steak was tasty, the salad garden salad was adequate but the side of mashed potatoes was average, and the baked potato was NOT loaded . For the price, the meal was very simplistic with nothing to rave about. We shall not return again if we want a special dinner as a couple."

  • "I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to warn people about this place for special occasions. 1- Seated at a tiny (30 dia?) round table in back of restaurant. 2- no menus or waiter for ten minutes. 3- No room on table for appetizers and drinks. 4- ordered med steak got med rare.potatoes burnt. 5- no room on table for food. plates partially hanging off table 6- waiter rarely there had to ask for water and utensils. 7- after entrees delivered waiter totally disappeared. MIA 8- asked receptionist to get waiter she disappeared too 9- had to beg for service 9- waited 30 mins for bill 10 - almost 3 hrs there.- $100 p/person. Tourists you should take your dining dollars elsewhere in Waikiki. Local people don't waste the drive to Waikiki."

  • "I went for Valentine's Day with my sons. There was a special for $104.95: 26 oz. porterhouse steak, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, choc cake (maybe mousse I'm not sure). The food was delicious. The service is excellent, anyone there will help you. I came with an infant and one of the workers made him a samurai hat out of a napkin. Oh, you are served 3 different kinds of bread in the beginning. I think it's a baguette, wheat, and onion. I liked the baguette. I'm a filet mignon girl, but overall the food was delicious and I would definitely come back. Since I had kids I don't mind the noise, I actually welcomed it so I wasn't the loud one in the room. Wolfgang was there talking to people at their tables. Wolfgang's was a great experience."

  • "Ordered Ceasar, Lamb Chops, Filet, German Potatoes and Sautéed Spinach. Best thing was the Ceasar Salad. The Filet was under seasoned, the Lamb came with way too much fat on them, the German Potatoea were overpriced hash browns and the sautéed spinach had zero flavor. For the price, you can go to Ruth's Chris and get the same type meal at the same price and leave satisfied. The service was average, not something you'd expect from a high end restaurant. We won't be going back."

  • "We made reservations and had zero wait time when we showed up. the service was awesome. JJ and mark are great. even had Wolfgang himself at the restaurant checking in with every guest to make sure they were satisfied. this is how service should be done. its a bit pricey, but it's Wolfgang's steakhouse with awesome food and service and dead smack in the middle of Waikiki. you have to expect that. we had a filet mignon that was big enough for two, lobster Mac and cheese which was to die for, rib eye steak, German style potatoes made just the way my grandma used to make them and a ton of the free onion bread. oh my god the onion bread. try to hold back when you get it. :) PS. Leave some room for cheesecake after dinner. its outstanding."

  • "Loud like a high school cafeteria, waiters have plastic name tags because they don't actually say hello to you as a human being, food was the same level as a high school cafeteria (ribeye bland, lobster mac rubbery, salmon bland), waiters all over but no one actually checking on you or personable, I wanted it to be wonderful because yelp people say it's good, but it is not. I won't return. Tons of tourists, but that is only why it's sooo loooouuud. I saw other people at table who kept trying to catch a waiter's attention. Sad."

  • "We had a great time here in January, although it was relatively quiet inside we had the most energetic, kind and helpful waiter (I think his name was seike or similar) who helped us to order and get our portion sizes right, and lucky we did as one steak was enough for two people!!! I would definitely go back, he made this a very pleasant experience for us. I highly recommend the seared garlic broccoli! Absolutely delicious and the first time I've ever enjoyed broccoli I this much!!"
