  • "The waiters are slow, inefficient and jaded. Too bad as the food is very good. Also there is no proper menu for the "Wine by glass" only a list which is given by the waiter and of course without many details. At this level of price this is not acceptable."

  • "We have had dinner at this fab restaurant sitting at the bar. My in laws were invited & my 85 yr old father in law loved the 25 oz plus rib eye steak-it was delicious. I and my wife split the steamed 3 lb lobster & it was fab. The sides are the best! The German potatoes that are prepared German style were delicious. We love sitting at the large bar as it gave us the opportunity to watch The Master's Golf Tournament. The service at the bar is always so superb. This is not a large chain steak house-------they get it! Ask for Burim at the bar-he is the best! Now this restaurant knows a great steak! It is truly a great steakhouse. We were too full for dessert. The coffee is so tasty!"

  • "The food was really great, but a little expensive as expected. The steak came out cooked perfectly. The sides are massive and good for sharing. The only thing was that when we read the menu it was a little confusing and we had to ask a question about the sides so we didn't order 4 massive sides for 2. Overall a great dining experience"

  • "For me what matters most at a steakhouse is the steak on the plate. At Wolfgang's I ordered the bone in strip medium rare. It came on a sizzling hot plate, already off the bone, cut into smaller inch wide portions. The waiter immediately took hot buttery juice from the plate and began basting the cuts of beef. The meat changed from a beautiful red to and ugly gray right before my eyes. The mixed green salad and sauteed broccoli were excellent."

  • "Excellent steak house in the NYT building. The bar has lots of energy and beautiful people. Food was execellent and in ginormous proportions as only a steak house can do. My only criticism is that we were a little early for our reservation and they wouldn't allow us a pre dinner cocktail at the bar. They wanted to seat us right away, presumably to drive another turn of the table. The service was good. They did have to be asked to bring the pepper mill. And when we looked at the wine list, the waiter immediately offered us a magnum of Caymus for $280 that listed for $350. We went for something more modest, but I thought the proposal was odd. Wouldn't stop me from going again."

I knew there would be plenty of meat, so my husband and I decided to share: first a caesars salad (delicious!), then a huge rib eye steak (never had a better one!) and fried onion rings (tremendous). Absolutely wonderful. For dessert we chose an irish coffee. It could not have been better. Our table was on the side, so we could overview the restaurant. The noise level was indeed energetic. We will come again, when we visit New York."

  • "When we come to Wolfgang's we always get the steak for two. We've been to the tribeca and park ave wolfgang's and decided to try this one. The vibe is a little different in this one. There's window walls all around in opposition to the tile of park ave and the modern furnishings of the tribeca which made it less steak housey. Still it doesn't take away from the fantastic food. My fiance always orders a slice of bacon, and slathers it with the house steak sauce (its full of yummy flavors). We opted for the german potatoes instead of mash and it was a good decision. The oniony, rich seared flavor of the tender potatoes complimented the huge hunk of steak for two. The filet mignon portion melted in my mouth. Their steak is unbeatable."

It did take a while for our main course to be Cleared. Like 20 minutes after and it was A slow night. I believe the busboy wasn't very Well trained. Otherwise excellent meal."

While the food and atmosphere was consistently good- unfortunately this time one of our waiters (we had two different ones) was completely disinterested in being a waiter. It really made for a disappointment as being satisfied so many times before- especially with a $280 tab- and a potential $60 tip the one guy could have broken a smile- or faked it!"

  • "I have dined at Wolfgang's in Times Square many many times. I've had steak from Ruth Chris, the Palms, Del Friscos, etc and Wolfgang's steak blew all the others out of the water. The servers are great and always on top of your table. Food comes out in perfect timing and always tastes great. Side of spinach is delicious. And if you really want to go off your diet I'd suggest getting bacon also. My weekly Ruth Chris days are long gone. Wolfgang's won them over."

  • "Wolfgang's never ceases to impress. Love the food, ambience and the service. I also don't think the prices are bad, considering you can split a steak or piece of fish- because they are HUGE. Everything on the menu is a la carte, and all portions are easily shared with 3 people. You need to either make a reservation, and/or arrive before 6:00, or you probably won't get in. Hot spot for business dinners. Favorite restaurant of mine in Times Square area."

We ordered the hash browns and mushrooms, hash was an oily mess and mushrooms were undercooked. Greeters are very friendly as well as the coat check attendant....I'd only reccommend this place for large groups."

  • "This was our first visit to Wolfgangs so we were not aware of the huge portion sizes. We shared a crabcake for starters and a salad. The portion size would have been enough for a small meal. We considered ordering the steak for 2, but we like our steaks cooked differently so we ordered individual steaks. Each one was large enough for 2 anyway. Luckily, the waiter advised the veggies were large portions so we ordered a baked potato and broccoli to share as well. Everything was excellent. My only complaint was that because we were only visiting for the weekend, we knew we would not eat the left overs so we did not take them with us. I felt bad wasting all that food. The meal was a bit pricey but we would definitely go back."
