  • "There are a lot of Steak Places in NYC, I have been to all them. Wolfgang's is a step above all of them. Service is the best, The food is amazing. Totally what a Professional restaurant should be and presented in a seamless timely manner by a great wait staff. I can't say enough great things about Wolfgang's. I ate at the one on Park and 33rd and it was equal to the one on 54th St. They know what they are doing"

I brought clients to lunch here and asked them both how their meal was when we were in the cab ride and they both agreed that it was not the best and they would not go back. Service was very good."

  • "First, we have never had steaks any better, absolutely delicious. The amount of food we got, was - by European standards - much too much, so that we could have ordered for one person instead of two. Many Americans, however, are much bigger / heavier than us Europeans, but then the waiter should let people know about the enormous quantity of food in advance... What really annoyed us was that the waiter when we payed openly complained about the amount of gratitude given. We already considered $ 25 a lot of money. All in all this experience spoiled the evening a bit, as we saw it. On the other hand, the atmosphere is very energetic, as pointed out above, so that this frank criticism of a waiter established a kind of wild west situation to us."

As a visitor it is difficult to take home leftovers and we felt rather wasteful eating half a steak. Everything was very nice but in terms of a chop house I would recommend Quality Meats over Wolfgang's much more fun..."

  • "Skip reading the menu and go for Steak for two, for three, for four...just great. Service was good, the air a bit thick due to the preparation of the steaks (however, the smell is triggering the Pavlov effect for sure) and it is a bit noisy...but these steaks are so good. You won't be disappointed by the size of them either."

  • "The food at this establishment was superior. My husband and I had the steak for two, salad for two, mushrooms, asparagus, cheesecake, and mango sorbet. The air conditioner was not working at the time, so by the end of our dinner it was hot and stuffy for us. The patrons offered us a dessert wine for our troubles. The cheesecake with the homemade cream was delectable. Must not miss. Overall was a a nice dinner."

  • "I visited Wolfgang's for my birthday, I had an amazing experience. Everything was better than I could have imagined. I never had steak that melted in your mouth before.lol To add to our great food experience the service was nothing less than wonderful. Our meal consisted of cream spinach, mashed potatoes and the steak for 2 medium rare. Yuuuuummmyyy!!! We weren't going to have dessert and our waiter Daniel brought out the chocolate mousse cake anyway and sang Happy Birthday. He was great and it was so good that we ended up ordering two to go. I remember saying..mmmm "is everything good here?" I was very amazed and haven't stop talking about it since. Thank you Wolfgang's for an amazing birthday dinner. "I will be back""

  • "I am big on having a good piece of steak!!! Had dinner here with my friend (steak lover as well), we had the filet mignon it was tenderized to perfection at medium! Love the relaxed feeling and the decor, the staff is friendly and welcoming. The only downside was that the wait after our order was taken was longer than I am use to for steakhouse of similar standing and we had a reservation with the restaurant being only moderately busy. Plan to give them another chance to redeem themselves!"

  • "Steak for two was huge, delicious and tender. It arrived still absolutely 'sizzling' at the table. Way more than 2 'senior's could eat. Waiters were excellent, one was always there when needed and Wolfgang personally came to our table twice to chat and see that the meal was up to our expectations. The low rating for service only reflected upon the maître d':he left us waiting at the door for several minute then walked way too fast for us to keep up. He dropped the menus on a poor table near the kitchen doors when there were quite a few open tables. After dropping the menues on the table he walked away without even pulling the chair out for my wife. Not up to standard from a Steak house charging $97 US for a Steak for 2. "

Ik did not want to miss the experience as this quality of steaks and specific way of preparation is hardly available in my country. Staff is very professional and has great humor. Very entertaining!   • "This is my 5th time at Wolfgangs, I promised never to go on a week day again as the noise level is way to high for my taste. Saturday night the Chilean Sea bass is some of the best around. Although the prices are a bit high the food is well worth it. I have never been disappointed at the food or the service, although its always a bit rushed I do feel like they are trying to turn over the tables. Its NYC and guess what? they are. Other then that if you are looking for good food this place is on target, if you are looking for romance, privacy and ambiance seek else where. On a prior review I had made a comment about the ladies room being a mess they have since repaired this problem. Friendly host and hostess."

Shrimp appetizer, Bacons strip, Ceasar salad and mashed potatos were all excellent, steak was very good, (steak for 2). It had great flavor, just a little tough.   • "We went to Wolfgang's in NY for our 27th anniversary. This one was nothing like the Honolulu location. We waited 5 minutes for a server to even notice we were there. I asked about wine by the glass and he told me it wasn't on the menu but they had a Cab and a Merlot, whatever I wanted. I asked what types of Cab they had and he said one kind - don't worry its all good. I generally like to know what I am drinking and since my wife doesn't drink I like to order half bottles and review a list of wines by the glass. This restaurant has none of that. The waiter was rude. He came up to us and instead of asking "can I take your order" he just said "talk to me". My steak was burnt and tough. We won't go back."

  • "There are over a dozen great places to get a good steak in NYC. Peter Luger's, Bobby Van's, Smith and Wollensky, The Palm, The Palm Too, Sparks, Mark Joseph's, Uncle Jack's, Ben and Jack's, Keene's, Del Friscoes, or the Strip House, to name a few. THIS is not one of them. The ambiance here is nondescript at best, and downright drab, if not ugly, at worst. Service was painfully slow from waiters with attitude as if they were doing us a favor. It took forever just to get a drink. The food not cooked to order. Given what they charge this was a bitter disappointment. So, when you are ready for a great steak dining experience, trust me: pick another place; you won't regret that you did."
