I was so pleasantly surprised by the food here. I ordered the penne with grilled chicken in a tomato cream sauce and it was absolutely delicious. Sometimes I don't enjoy the taste of the chicken in that type of sauce, but it was really well seasoned and cooked and tasted great. The yummy bean soup is served in a spectacular bowl. The chicken piccano was the best I've ever eaten, flavorful and cooked to a perfect tenderness. The bread was out-of the oven fresh, served with interesting garlic and bean spreads. The 4 cheese ravioli and white bean soup appetizers were delicious! Salmon was done perfectly, the chicken piccante was flavorful and a very generous serving. Two people had the steak and found it rich and tender and done to specifications. The potatoes served with the steak were great! Ordering the wine pairing was suggested by our waiter, Chuck, and it was an excellent recommendation. Chuck was a wonderful waiter. He was well informed about the preparation and ingredients of each menu item. He was friendly, but very professional. Our meals came hot and timely. Thanks Chuck. The ambiance of the restaurant itself was lacking and walking thru the casino was not inviting.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service wereThe food and service were excellent. We went during Restaurant week and found the portions ample and the quality of the food was very good. My only concern was that since it was inside of the casino, it was difficult to find. We had to wind through rows of slot machines and deal with the smoke of the patrons. Once we finally got to the restaurant, it was great. This visit soup, oysters Rockefeller, and lobster all arrived so cold they were almost inedible. I would have thought the drawn butter might have warmed things up for the lobster, but that arrived (after having to ask for it) 10 minutes after my cold lobster arrived and it came without the typical burner underneath. The name gives the perception of a pizza joint but that is not the case. Our experience was fine dining all the way. Those complaining about the noise must remember they ARE in a casino. We sat towards the back and the noise was no problem. The "background" music was a bit annoying but the food and service were outstanding.
