Wolfgang Puck Pizza l Bar - GreensboroGood food and excellent serviceWe were invited to Puck's by a couple who had been before. As first time diners, we were somewhat skeptical - having heard stories of parking problems, wait staff problems, and running out of food issues. We found none of this to be true. Our server was excellent, the food was delicious, and the parking was not a problem. Two at our table had the scallops which were offered as a speciality. Both diners declared the scallops as good as any in Greensboro. One diner had the oriechetti which he stated was wonderful. I had the pepperoni pizza which was the best pizza I have had in ages. Salads are large enough to share and are made with fresh ingredients. The Caesar salad did not taste good and was not worth the price. We had to cut up the lettuce because it came as a full lettuce leaf. The goat cheese bread it came with was good.
The pizza had wonderful flavor but was very soggy. A nice change from a standard-fare pizza restaurant. You can custom order a pizza, but I recommend trying one of their specialities. All were great, teh Chicken meatball was extra memorable! Service was very good, servers were attentive and friendly.

It took quite a while for our food to arrive, but it was hot and fresh when it did. It also took longer than it should have for us to receive our check at the end of the meal. The restaurant was not particularly crowded, but our server did have several tables she was waiting on at once. Love the innovative recipes for the pizzas. Our server was very patient and attentive. Our table was ready when we arrived at our reservation time. The only thing we missed were the breadsticks that used to be placed on the table when beverages were served. Also, we all agreed it would be nice if something could be done to the acoustics to make it less noisy. It was rather hard to have a conversation without raising our voices somewhat. My manager would have just told someone to do it. We had the same appetizer and it was good but not excellent - bread was a little dry/stale. Ordered a different pizza this time trying to be adventurous and the flavor was good but the bottom was soggy and the crust was burned.
