Having been to Spago in L.A., I would say this experience was equal too, if not better. The atmosphere was a bit more laid-back, and no movie stars to worry about taking up all the waiters time! :) Also, it seemed too many "rules" at the LA location in regard to behavior around celebrities.
The pricing seemed off. The Rib-eye was exquisite, but pricey and the Pork Chop was more expensive than the Salmon. I thought this was a bit odd. The homemade chips with the blue-cheese dip was great also! If you're on a special diet, or need less salt, you certainly can ask for changes. Cannot be assured you will get it. The service was outstanding. Our waiter, Grant, was very friendly, helpful and patient - didn't rush us at all - really made us feel like he wanted us to enjoy our time there.
The food was excellent - loved the pizza which we shared as an app.

Very good food and service. We surprised that it was even kid friendly and the kitchen whipped up chicken fingers and fries (which did not appear on the menu). We made reservations for five which really weren't necessary.
