  • They were two days from closing

They were two days from closing until the ski season so we were concerned that the food might not be up to par but it was exc exellant. We ordered every kind of steak they had (there were 8 of us) and all were cooked to perfection. The veggies wer just as good. Can't comment on the drinks as we had water, soda or ice tea.

We had a party of 9 including 4 kids under age 10 and the staff did a great job of accommodating and working with the kids. Food was very good although as a ski resort restaurant a bit overpriced.

We were one of only 3 tables at Wolf Rock mid-week during the summer. The waitress was very nice but not very attentive considering the lack of other patrons needing attention. The food was soaked in butter and poor.

Did not close out their Open Table account when they decided to close. We were staying at a rental in the same complex with 4 children and were forced to drive 30 min to find a restaurant at the last minute for dinner.

Good food but the service was terrible. The waitress seemed to be more concerned with flirting with the young guys than refilling our drinks or bringing our food out when it was warm.

Decent experience. Steaks were a bit overpriced for the quality. I've had better for cheaper.

This is a very nice, upscale restaurant in the Keystone village. We had an excellent meal, and enjoyed the atmosphere. I was disappointed that they no longer brewed their own beer.

The ambience was classic and warm by the fireplace. The blackened salmon was delicious and a sufficient portion. The service was attentive. We had an enjoyable dining experience and would recommend it to anyone visiting Keystone.

We first went to Wolf Rock over the Christmas break in 2011 on a night that the resturant at the top of the gondola and it was awesome. However since then we have come back twice and it has been terrible. The prime rib has not been cooked right and the service has been slow/rude.

  • Dissappointing night out
    OpenTable Diner Since 2012

Upon arrival the table wasn't ready despite advance booking. The restaurant itself was cold, we were informed heating was on full and the fire was in operation(we later found out the boiler had been broken for a few days). We ordered our food, half the group ordered starters. After 40 minutes the news was given that waiter forgot to order the starters and that our mains were now ready. When the mains arrived they were only luke warm and the side orders were cold, the staff didn't seem to care or be too concerned with an apology when we informed them. As a result we settled our bill, paid no tip and went elsewhere for our dessert.

  • Late and Salty..with poor service

During the height of ski season, the wait staff and t he kitchen were not up to the pressure. Of the four of us, my meal was delivered just as my family was finishing. Only because I asked did they tell me that it was delayed due to lack of ingredients (elk medallions). The substitution they promised was better cut of meat but instead of rare or med rare, it came out well and tough. Add to the difficulty in getting the waiter's attention, and the heavy hand with the salt from the chef, all in all a poor dining experience...all for an overinflated price.

the waiter was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. the food was very good, though since you are asking my opinion, i really didn't care for the music. it seems that at ski resorts everyone wants to "rock out", but that is not my taste. it seems to conflict with the visual setting of the restaurant. i noticed that in the "noise" choices, the top choice for the most noise was something called "energetic". i am pretty sure restaurants try to make a lot of noise one way or another because they figure people may not appreciate them on the food alone and need to feel that they are among throngs of people, to validate their choice? as in, look: all these other people are here, this must be a great place...but i for one don't need that.

Wife's filet came out medium rare instead of medium. My ribeye was done right and tasty. Steaks came out 1 min after salads. Seemed to be short staffed on a saturday
