  • "WK Hearth is a fabulous restaurant...it truly combines the best of all things...food, wine, hospitality, service and ambiance! We dined here for the third time on Saturday evening and it was better than ever. There wine options, including flights, are excellent! You can even purchase bottles of each to take home at great prices! They are soon adding outdoor seating to continue to bring this lovely historic building to life. Come hungry and thirsty! Michael and team will take great care of you!"

  • "There was a very long wait to get our appetizers and then another long wait to get our main courses. It felt like we had an empty table for a very long time. The food was good, but 2+ hours for a simple meal is a bit too long."

  • "Food was good. Service was good. Ambience was good. A little pricy. Menu could have more items."

  • "Tucked into a beautifully restored farmhouse, The Wine Kitchen Hearth is everything you hope for in a neighborhood restaurant. Awesome wine selection ($10 off if you take a bottle home), tasty locally-source food and an enthusiastic, energetic staff."

  • "Started with the duck confit flat bread which was delicious. Our main courses were Sirlion Steak/ cheddar scalloped potatoes/ chili-garlic broccoli/ port-onion jam and a Rabbit special both were fantastic. I had a Kolsch beer from Kansas City for a changed which hit the spot just nicely. I will return."

  • "The food here is farm to fork. The atmosphere is farmhouse elegance. My son and I went there for an early Sat lunch after his TKD tournament at Patrick Henry College. The waitress was very personable and attentive even though my son's attitude was a bit on the low side that day as he was whooped from competing all day. I would definitely go again. I had the parsnip soup and brussel sprouts salad-both great. Prices and portions very fair."

  • "This is a nice restaurant: good food, good use of local products, good service. But the place is so noisy that it is unpleasant to be there. i won't ever come back on a saturday night."

  • "Second visit to Wine Kitchen and had a wonderful dinner. They had just updated menu and I was lucky enough to have their barbequed shrimp. It was outstanding. Also ordered their mushroom flatbread which was wonderful. Definitely will be back for more!"

  • "Good food Lots of interesting root veggie combinations that were great for a cold Feb night! Good sauces and spices. Portion size appropriate. Downstairs was a little too noisy and not very private."

  • "WK Hearth was fantastic. The server, Chris, made sure our entire meal exceeded expectations. The wine flights were perfectly aligned with each of our meals. I would highly recommend it. It was our first time there and we went for a birthday dinner. The menu had enough variety to appeal to everyone. Our table had the pork chop and duck confit flatbread and steak and all of our entrees were perfect. We cant wait to go back."

  • "We've been to the wine kitchen in Leesburg many times and loved it, other than having to wait for a table for quite a while. We were excited that this new location took reservations and we were seated right away. The only issue I had was that we were seated right at the door, directly behind the host/hostess stand and when there were 3 people standing there, it felt crowded, like we had no privacy and uncomfortable. We were told that since they were booked, we couldn't move tables. I just noted that next time I would tell them away from doors and host/hostess stands. The food was wonderful. The wine was great. The service was excellent."

  • "It was a perfect place to celebrate Valentine's Day with my wife, daughter and mother-in-law."

  • "Had a great Valentines meal eating off the regular menu. We struggled to make a choice off the menu given the great options and ended up ordering the pork chop and chicken and swapping half way through. We love the wine flights especially during the appetizer so we can choose the perfect glass for the meal. The bottle list is very extensive as well. The service is fabulously attentive and the atmosphere is lively without being too noisy. I look forward to summer when we can eat outside on the patio."

  • "WK, is simply excellent! Service tonight wasn't exactly the greatest (though it was valentines day it was slow there), i suspect our waitress hadn't been there long. The managers are excellent and willing to sit and talk with you. We have always enjoyed the Leesburg wine kitchen (wish Purcellville had the Mac N Cheese from Leesburg) and were happy to see them expanding! We will definitely be returning if only to see whats next on their menu."

  • "The food was good but seasoning was a bit off. The pork chop, was sold out by 7 PM on a Sunday. The Brussel Sprout salad is fantastic. Lamb Shank, Pork Risotto special, apple cobbler all were good but had mis-steps in prep or seasoning. The Wine List, which should be one of the draws, lacks breadth and depth. The list is filled with unique, off-the-beaten path wines all of a similar scale. Most wines (seen or tried) would garner < 90 point rating and have prices $8-$15/glass. Lacking are captivating wines of Cabernet, Merlot, Pinot/Burgundy composition to pair with hearty dishes. Also in short supply are heartier whites unvisited by the "oak monster". Keep trying, we'll be back. All good but improvements needed for Very Good or Outstanding."

  • "We had a very very enjoyable evening. The appetizers/main courses were excellent. The service was awesome. Our group of 8 was seated in a private room so I had no comments on the noise level. The menu had something for everybody. The sirloins received rave reviews with one of the guests commenting it was the first time in a long time where she ordered/received a rare steak. I enjoyed lamb, not something I would normally order, but loved. The wine drinkers enjoyed the choices offered. This was a place that none of our group, who live from Stephens City to Sterling, had heard of previously, but we have recommended it to others and plan to return. We always looks for great places that are in between us. Thanks for a great night out!"

  • "Went for Valentine's Day with my boyfriend and his parents and loved the Valentine's day special/pairing. Food was really good. Only compaints would be desert, waitress forgot one desert, the apple crisp so it took a while getting to the table after we reminded her since it had to be put into the oven. Also the apple crisp wasn't sweet enough and the granola on the Valentine's day desert wasn't very good, could've done without it. Other than that everything was really good. We will definitely be going back. Love WK in Leesburg as well!"

  • "We arrange to meet some old friends here. The food was very good, but the portions were a little small for our appetites. No problem, if you order multiple courses, however, the prices are high for that. Never was offered bread and the starches on the plate were meager. The wine selections and flights are excellent, well chosen, with fair pricing, and nice glassware. The major criticism I have is the noise. It was so loud that we could only speak with raised voices and the main reason we got together was to renew our acquaintance."

  • "Fantastic, awesome, incredible, delish, tasty, superb, and yum are all descriptions the waiter made and for once they were all true!"

  • "WK Hearth now makes reservations, and good thing. It was packed and we got the last open table. The staff was not obtrusive, but prompt when needed, and knowledgeable. They had just added lamb shank to the menu and couldn't resist. It was a good as my Mother, who grew up on a sheep station in Australia could have prepared. WK Hearth raises the bar in Purcellville, and even in the Leesburg region."

  • "From the moment you step in the Wine Kitchen, you'll feel like the servers and bar tenders and old friends. The food is outstanding.. Fresh, local, creative, and delicious. The wine is available in different sized pours and is very reasonably priced. Try it! You'll love it."

  • "The food stands alone as some of the best in the region. The wines are all very unique and would not be found easily elsewhere. What I love the most is the ability to do several tasting of different wines and the ability to buy wine and take it home. If you buy the wines they take off $10/bottle. Buy 4 or more and get an additional 10% discount, but a case and get 15%. Most of their bottles are prices between $20-$30 per bottle in the restaurant so if you but some for home after all the discounts they run anywhere from $12-$16/bottle which is very nice. Love this place."

  • "On the pricey side, but worth it. From the appetizer to the main course, it seems every detail has received proper attention. I don't mind dropping $180 for two (including tip) for such a great evening with the wife. Food - outstanding. Almost left without any type of issue, except getting charged for individual cups of coffee? Tacky. I don't mind paying for each espresso I order, but seriously - coffee? I bought a bottle of wine and had wine tastings and multiple drinks - you almost should provide coffee for free. Coffee was $3 (perfectly fine). If you need to cover the cost of refills, make the coffee $4.50. So a perfect evening with a slight aggitation at the end. Just hard to believe so much was thought through and that was missed."

  • "A real gem in Loudoun County. The food is outstanding and local (East coast). I love that they take reservations on OpenTable now. It's hands down the best restaurant in Purcellville with the highest quality food."

  • "The food was pricey and the portions were small. They try to make the menu too froo froo. Normal food would be better. I mean who really eats rabbit?"

  • "Very cozy restaurant. Owned by Wine Kitchen, so similar menu and wine selection. Experienced much better service. Got food within ten minutes of ordering. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about beer, wine, and food. Had the pork belly at Wine Kitchen in Leesburg and at WK Hearth: both good but better at WK Hearth. Maybe because of the hearth oven crisped the skin better. Paella is very flavorful as well. Reasonable and healthy portion sizes (not too big). Many ingredients from local farms; many wines and beers from local area wineries and breweries. Good craft beer selection. Will be adding this place to the rotation!"
