  • "Wisteria has been around for awhile and still manges to keep up with the Atlanta dining scene. We had the pimento cheese deviled eggs and calamari to start which were both very good and gone in a flash. We had the braised lamb shank, molasses rubbed pork tenderloin and skillet fried chicken for our main courses. Everything tasted so good that no one wanted to share! I must complement the server that he didn't let us over order side dishes; he was spot on as each main course had more then enough accompaniments with it. We would have had a bunch of leftovers otherwise. The desert concept is a unique in where you order "bite size" portions which allows you to mix and match different items. Priced at 1, 3 or 6 items, it is best to group order."

  • "We travel from Florida to Atlanta to visit our daughter and every time we come to Atlanta we go to Wisteria. It has always been an excellent experience but this time we were so disappointed. The waiter appeared every time we put our fork down and grabbed our plates. We prefer to wait until everyone is done. He did this throughout the entire meal and gave us a rushed feeling. The food was not it's usual amazing meal. We were very unhappy with the food. We had some entrees we had previously and they were not nearly as good as other times. We will return because of the history we have there and would tell the waiter to wait until we are all done before clearing our plates."

  • "This was our second time - the first time was during restaurant week. The service has been consistently excellent, and all of the appetizers and mains have been very tasty and well presented. We have sampled everything from fish and soft-shell crab, steak, fried chicken and shrimp and grits, and a number of soups/salads, and all were delicious."

  • "This spot was recommended to me by my sister. This the perfect venue for my date. And it was her birthday. The food was excellent. For the price, we received more food than anticipated. The wine selection was wonderful and the setting was quiet and romantic. My girlfriend loved it. To make things even better, the service was outstanding. I actually purchased cupcakes from Camicakes and had them delivered to the restaurant for my girlfriend's birthday. The waiter took it upon himself to light a candle and bring them out....which was perfect. I could not have asked for a better waiter. This is the first time that I had what I would describe as a perfect date at the perfect spot with the perfect service and ambience. The food was exquisite."

  • "Fourth visit over past couple of years and won't be back. Some things - like how close the tables are and how noisy it is (even on a weeknight) were to be expected. The food quality this time was just indicative of a coasting kitchen. Too many other great places nearby. One diner had the veggie plate - 9 choices, only one hot and only one (a different one) really well done. Green beans were wet but short of blanched, okra was woody, mushrooms had been done in a sauce that was bitter, then grits, mashed potato, sweet potato all simply not special. Finally a greasy piece of cold, fried polenta. But the corn was good. Turned the plate in with literally one bite from each veggie eaten. When asked, we said it wasn't great - just got "oh.""

  • "we were shocked at how close the tables were and the noise level. We could barely hear each other sitting across the table from one another however the conversations on our left and right was crystal clear. The trout was delicious and seasoned perfectly. The pork belly was dry and overcooked. The braised Mac-n-Cheese was very rich, good but heavy. Service was good. Recommendation would be to space the tables further apart to create better ambiance."

  • "We powered our way through about twelve of Atlanta's highly regarded restaurants in four days. All within 4-5 stars on Open Table. Wisteria was the highest rated in our group. The pork belly, soft shell crab, and lamb shank were all memorable. The skate wing, cod, fried chicken, and tenderloin were all done well. I do understand some of the negative reviews but I remind everyone that good restaurants are going to be crowded, by default noisy, and the service inconsistent as the waves of people come in. Those wanting gut-busting proportions should perhaps look down the road on Ponce but I thought for fine dining the proportions were generous. Overall a very worthy endeavor."

  • "A great experience for locals as well as out of town guests. One negative - many earlier reviews highly rated Wisteria's southern dish called chicken waffles; but when there the waiter said they have never served that! Some of us were a little disappointed as we planned to order that; but lots of choice on the menu so we found something. Lot's of fish meals! Other choices as well. Great desert experience - each serving is $4 and is "bite" size so you can mix and match. Atmosphere is very nice; got a little loud later on Sat evening. I would definitely recommend to friends."

  • "I was hoping for a romantic dinner, but forgot that Wisteria's seating didn't allow sitting very close - their tables are narrow deep, and it was pretty loud. It made it difficult to have a conversation. If we could have had a table for 4, and sat on the same side together, it might have been ok. Was glad to see a nice selection of half bottles on the wine list."

  • "My husband and I have dined twice at Wisteria, and both times we were pleased with the dining experience. The decor is lovely and the music pleasing. Both times the food was delicious and the service impressive. The second time we dined it was Inman Park Restaurant Week, and Wisteria was a participating restaurant. The 3-Course Menu was an incredible value. And, despite it being restaurant week, the food and service was very good. We look forward to our next visit."

  • "My wife and I loved everything about our experience. Personally I love fish and my wife is a vegetarian. The crab cake was filled with crab (instead of fillers) and the skate wings were terrific. Unlike many restaurants who's selection of vegetables are limited, Wisteria's vegetable plate had a large selection of different vegetables prepared in ways you don't often find. This was our first time here and was a birthday present from our son who is an Executive Chef in New York city and our daughter. Once again, we loved this place and will return."

  • "I should've turned back when I had the chance. After all I waited until 9 to be seated for my 8:30 reservation because I had a party of four which this quaint place has a hard time accommodating. Don't even mention needing a highchair until cheeks are in seats or you may never get a table, reservation or not! Besides that and most importantly, the wait was NOT WORTH IT! Have a V8 & get more flavor. My mom ordered the skate wing, brother had the cod, and I had the trout and each tasted like a bottle of salad dressing poured over a piece of fish. If that's worth $25 to you this is your spot. My sister came out on top after ordering just a cup of crab soup. Best thing about the experience was the sweet tea. No, really..."

  • "We had a great experience during Restaurant Week. We dine in Wisteria many occasions and this time we decided to bring along the parent and family. Never been disappointed, you can buy dinner in many restaurant but you can't buy service, Wisteria provided us both, great food and excellent service. We like to thank from the Host, Manager, Bartender and our server, i believe his name Chris, to make our evening in Wisteria very delightful and fulfill our anticipations. We will definitely pass our recommendation to many of our friends and family."

  • "We visited Wisteria for the first time during Inman Park restaurant week. Usually during restaurant week you expect and reduced menu and reduced quality of service, but Wisteria was AMAZING!! The portions were huge and delicious! The sommelier (sp?) was very knowledge and recommended a delicious wine called "Saved" (so delicious!). Everything was perfect and can't wait to go back."

  • "Came during restaurant week, ordered the pork tenderloin, deviled eggs, and the 3 dessert sampler. The pork tenderloin was very, very most & tender, but I found it a little bland. The sweet potato mash that came with it as a side was delicious. The deviled eggs were good but meh if you're not a huge deviled eggs fan. The dessert sampler was good, though I do prefer desserts on the less overly-sweet side. My friend got the fried chicken and tomato soup. I preferred her soup to my eggs, and the sides with the chicken were awesome (subbed brussel sprouts for the collards). She enjoyed her meal but thought the chicken was good, not amazing."

  • "I had high hopes for this place and while the food was good, the whole experience fell short due to the lack of professional service. From the get go we were made to feel like we were some shlubs that were only there to get the cheep restaurant week menu and were an annoyance to them. We didn't even know it was RW when we made the reservation. Our server was very flippant and while i realize that some people may come in to attend RW, and may never return. this is not the case for all your guest and caution should be taken to make sure no one feels like they are an imposition on the restaurant. We all have seen the scene in Pretty Woman when she comes back to the store and says you work on commission right? Big mistake! Big BIg mistake!"

  • "It was cold and raining outside as we walked up for our 5:30 reservation. We were 10 mins early and were met at the door by two employees. They unlocked the door then promptly locked it in our face. Unphased we walked next door for a St Patty's day cocktail. When we arrived back at Wisteria we were chastised for being late and reminded that our table was reserved again at 7:30 and we would need to be prepared to leave at that time. Our waiter was rushed and did not explain the tiered Restaurant Week Menu to my party. Our food came and was disappointing. My favorite Skillet Chicken was bland and sloppily thrown together. Had that soggy heat lamp taste. The Pork Loin was dry and over cooked. Just not their best showing."

  • "Wisteria is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. It doesn't get enough publicity. Gourmet southern cuisine but the seafood is great too. The skate was ordered by three out the four that went out that night. It was absolutely the best. Service is always impeccable. Go for pimento cheese deviled eggs for an appetizer and the skate for your entree. We also tried a sampler of desserts. Can't wait to go back."

  • "Had a really nice dinner at Wisteria last Friday night. Front of the house was very accomodating when we called to state we'd be late after running into traffic heading downtown. Brought an infant in a carseat that slept through the meal without dirty looks from staff - much appreciated. Great waitress who made solid recommendations and was very friendly. Split a salad and the PEI mussels app. Both were very good - Mussel broth could have used some bite. Wife had the lamb shank, I had the pork tenderloin. The pork was the standout, but both meals were good. Food tasted really fresh, but I wasn't wowed by any of the flavors. Dessert was a sampler tray - smores, banana pudding and apple pie. All were good. Overall a worthwhile dinner date."

  • "My husband and I dined here recently. We made a 5:30 reservation, which is the time they open. We were the only customers there for about the first 20 minutes. This was really nice because we really got some personalized (non rushed) service from our waitress, Kendra. I love excellent customer service and that's what we received! The featured wine, salad, and entree were delicious. The macaroni and cheese was one of the best I've ever had. My husband entree was that nights feature of meatloaf and mine was the lamb shank (per our waitress recommendation). The portions were surprisingly large and very flavorful. I really enjoyed our time here and will be back in the near future."

  • "It was fine. The food was plenty tasty, the server polite, etc. it is not in any way exciting or surprising. Maybe Good for out of towers wanting upscale southern food. A reliable argument to northerners that the bluehairs can host the same kind of unremarkable parents'-night-out date establishments that the bluebloods frequent. Spend your money at any one of the growing number of excellent dining establishments that Atlanta/Decatur has to offer, if you can get a reservation. Oh, which reminds me, having a reservation at Wisteria does not mean that you will have a table upon arrival. Or even soon after arrival. Oh, and everyone at our table noticed that the cocktails tasted watered down. The wine list was great, though."
