WisteriaGood food, a tad noisy.Do want a good meal. with good service? Then eat here. Waiter was available whenever we needed him, but invisible when we didn't.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely EveningA nice neighborhood date night with my husband. Wish there was a little more on the entree menu, love the soup, appetizers and dessert.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMNice changeWe were pleasantly surprised by Wisteria, especially for its focus on seafood. We don't eat out that often, and when we do it's usually Holeman and Finch or Miller Union-- tough acts to follow! We were looking to broaden our horizons and try somewhere closer to home and were not disappointed. The food was very good and the restaurant was well-packed when we left shortly before 9:00. The only negatives were a significant lag between main course and dessert and an absentee amaro.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMPre-theatre specialNeeded to find a restaurant near a local theatre -(stage not movie) and we were very pleased with the choice. From the ease of valet parking to the considerate service which got us in and out in plenty of time, to the excellent food and wine selections, we highly recommend Wisteria and will be returning soon.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMA very pleasant experience--theA very pleasant experience--the salad special was outstanding.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience - again!I've been to Wisteria 3 times in the past 2 months or so and am consistently impressed. This time I went with my family (group of 6) and had a wonderful experience. Service was prompt and knowledgeable (thanks Jessie!) and the food was delicious yet again.
I recommend:
-Arancini for appetizer
-Crab Bisque for soup
-Veal meatballs with ricotta gnocchi, pork tenderloin with sweet potatoes, and encrusted trout are all my favorites.
-If you can pull it off with your group, get the 6-pick for desserts and select: banana pudding, bread pudding, strawberry shortcake, smore, carrot cake, and sweet pecan ice cream. DELICIOUS!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely atmosphere, great foodWisteria never fails! It's always amazing food and a great experience.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMNiceWisteria is nice in almost every way. What I like about the menu is that it has more consistency than some of its peer small, farm-to-table restaurants, and yet there is always inventive use of fresh, local ingredients -- especially with salads. The restaurant has a wonderful neighborhood feel to it, although the crowd makes clear that it draws people from beyond the typical Inman Park crowd. Like other Inman Park restaurants, it does feel like they've put too many tables in the space, so expect to be close to neighboring tables. We had a man's back and bald head literally right up against the edge of our two-top table. That made it a less-than-comfortable experience, but tolerable. Could be time for an interior update at Wisteria.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMNice eleganceFrequented establishment on a date and place was delightful.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMSimple and DeliciousMy wife and I really enjoyed dinner at Wisteria.
Great, simple food and the most unique salads.
We can't wait to return.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMAtlanta surpriseWisteria restaurant in the Inman Park section of the city was a great change of pace from larger places with a predictable menu. With new diners still arriving at a steady pace when we left at 10 p.m., it's apparent that it's a well known gem by the local crowd which was very diverse both ethnically and economically. Southern cooking with a decidedly modern flair, Wisteria's flavorful pairings of classic meats and seafood with exciting sides and sauces was a real treat after a busy day. Catfish over ocra and greens and a phenomenally tender pork loin with a bourbon-molasses glaze were our choices. Service was so good that we felt like we were regulars welcomed back rather than first timers. Looking forward to our next trip to Atlanta.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat mealThis is one of the best kept screams in Atlanta. The service, food and atmosphere is great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant .5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Food, Good AmbienceGreat restaurant! Our server was friendly, energetic, and very accomodating. The food was exceptionally delicious, and we enjoyed the peace-like ambience of the restaurant. My family and I will definitely come back to Wisteria to dine.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWisteria Is ExcellentI'm no gourmet but that whole dinner was ridiculously yummy! I waddled out of there happy.
The service was just about perfect too: prompt, friendly, professional, informed, but not overbearing.
Just so you know, the place jumps - not a quiet romantic candlelit sort of place. Not saying that's bad, you understand.
Bottom line, two thumbs way up!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent neighborhood spotI lived one block from this restaurant for a year and never went - finally had dinner there with my wife and another couple. Food was excellent. I had a good crab bisque (hard to mess that up), an AWESOME crabcake appetizer, and the meatball dish. Beers were good and wine tasing sampler was a bonus for my wife (get three half-glasses from certain tiers). It's a small space that's well decorated. You'll be close to your neighbors, but we never felt like we were sharing a table with them. I look forward to going again.
The space reminded me of some of the good restaurants in Decatur - cozy spaces that are well appointed. This reminded me of Feast in its hayday before it closed.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMSimply put, it was greatMy family and I chose to celebrate my niece's graduation here. Everything was amazing, from the greeting we received when we walked in the door, to the decor, the food and the service. I used to live in Atlanta and never visited Wisteria, and now that I've moved and finally discovered this place, I will alway make a return visit on my visits down.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMMac and Cheese HeavenHighly recommend the mac and cheese. even if doesn't come with your entrée add it. you won't be disappointed.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThird time for us - out ofThird time for us - out of our zip code but worth the trip!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was very good, niceThe food was very good, nice atmosphere and the service was outstanding!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat restaurant with local flairThis restaurant was spectacular! One of the assistant managers was our server and was very knowledgable and pleasant. It is a must do on the foodie trail.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was simple, rustic,The food was simple, rustic, and very good. We had the trout, scallops, and cornmeal fried calamari all of which were excellent. Will definitely return.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing dinner spot.Wonderful Atlanta instiution. Food and service do not get any better than this. Highly recommend Wisteria.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAll excellent! The crab cake was excellent, fresh corn and just the right spices. I had the shrimp and grits, which was my first time and I love them. My husband had the fried chicken and he said it was so tender. It was all lovely!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently the best in ATL!Another great meal at Wisteria. Never disappoints and is ALWAYS good. Way better than other overrated Atlanta restaurants.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently oustanding foodConsistently oustanding food with a welcoming, comfortable and vibrant vibe throughtout the restaurant. Special place to spend a relaxed evening with friends while enjoying a wonderful meal. Highly recommended.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe iron skillet fried chickenThe iron skillet fried chicken is my absolute favorite!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMNeighborhood GemMy husband and I really enjoy dining at Wisteria except for feeling a little too crowded at our table. We also find it a bit cramped when waiting to be seated ( the times we have been there the bar has been full so the only option was to wait outside of the restaurant or stand inside by the door). We keep going back because the food and service are excellent. This trumps over any inconvenience while waiting for a table (we have not had to wait long) or sitting close to people. We will be back and also recommend Wisteria to friends.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this place. Food wasLove this place. Food was remarkable Service very attentive.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWisteria is one of my favoriteWisteria is one of my favorite restaurants. I recommend getting a reservation vs walking in. The staff is courteous and helpful and is very knowledgeable about the food and wine the restaurant offers. Best dishes I've had so far: Beef Tenderloin, the Trout and the Lamb Shank. Really outstanding, great place for a small group (4-6), but I think best for two.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI am always a fan of Wisteria,I am always a fan of Wisteria, the food is excellent and the location is close-by. However, on this trip it was restaurant week. The place was packed. The staff at Wisteria was up for the task though. Beginning with the host staff, the bartender whiled we waited for our table, the wait staff and the busers, all brilliant and so on the ball. (I hope they made a lot of money.) There was no back-up in the kitchen either that I noticed. Everything ran so smoothly. And, as I said, it as packed. Hats off to the staff on this hectic week. Food was great as always. Only issue, the noise. I could really only converse with the two folks on my side of the table but not the two across from me. All in all, great place!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways love my time at Wisteria.Always love my time at Wisteria. The food is creative and excellent and the friendships are awesome. Highly suggest the mussels.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, Wisteria neverAs always, Wisteria never ceases to amaze! The service was great, the atmosphere compliments it. Wisteria, is an Inman Park Treasure.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWent recently to celebrateWent recently to celebrate our 20-something daughter's b'day; party of 7. Service was excellent, everyone loved their entrees. We also enjoyed three appetizers for the table as well as specialty cocktails. Overall the night was a huge success and we will definitely be back!4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMI went to Wisteria on a firstI went to Wisteria on a first date and the food was really good. I enjoyed the fried catfish and my date had shrimp and grits. But the highlight of the night was the warm bread pudding we shared for dessert. It was excellent!4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner and warm atmosphereThe Wisteria dining experience this past Monday evening was great. The food was well-prepared and the waiter (I wish I could remember his name) was attentive. I would return here.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMFound this place on TripadvisorFound this place on Tripadvisor while visiting Atlanta. My husband said his pork was the best he's ever had. The food was delicious and service superb.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMHow fortunate we were to beHow fortunate we were to be staying so close to this gem! The speciality cocktails were creative, the wine list had something I loved, the kitchen split our salad without us asking, the salmon was creatively prepared and oh so yummy, the fried chicken was moist and tender. The desserts - mini 'buffets' of goodness - were to die for, especially the s'more and shortcake. The service was outstanding - friendly, funny, called us a cab and encouraged us to have a coffee refill while we waited. The only (small) negative was that we were seated directly behind the host station, which was a bit distracting.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMStill great, but changed :(Another good meal at Wisteria. However, they have made a few changes which we didn't like quite as much. The mussels dish used to have some really nice crostini bread and now it is croutons which isn't as good. The crostinis were perfect for scooping up all the goodness in the broth and putting the mussels on. Just wasn't the same experience eating it. Also, needed more crusty bread to sop up the broth - emphasis on crusty... Mac and cheese wasn't the same either. Not served in the bowl, The shrimp and grits was amazing as usual. Still the best in Atlanta and elsewhere. The lamb shank was also very good, but needs more of the sauce to make it more juicy and delicious all the way to the last bite. Once you run out, it's not as good.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner and amazing atmosphereGreat dinner and amazing atmosphere! The service was top notch and our food and drinks were incredible! Cheers!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time to Atlanta. GreatFirst time to Atlanta. Great food. Helpful, friendly staff. The employees were so accommodating and even insisted we stay and eat our dessert in the restaurant as they were closing when we tried to order it to go, feeling bad we were the only people left in he restaurant. We will definitely eat here again and recommend it to anyone for a typical date night or for their special occasion.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWisteria is a gemWas not noisy because we were there early in the evening. Fabulous service. Love their mussels. And the opportunity to taste 3 wines (1/2 glass each) is a real treat.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWisteria is one of our faves in AtlThe Pork Tenderloin and the Beef Tenderloin are staple dishes at Wisteria and never disappoint. They are two of our favorites. So many of the appetizers are good to, such as the Carpaccio, Crab Cake, Salmon Tartare, Calamari, etc. I'm not a dessert person, but the Warm Fudge Tart with Mexican Chocolate Ice Cream and the Hand Crafted Caramel & Sea Salt Smore are outstanding. Wisteria is consistently good and one of the restaurants we recommend in Atlanta.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my first visit toThis was my first visit to Wisteria and certainly not my last. The service was outstanding. I love that this traditional 'southern' restaurant also offers excellent lighter options that are not typically available on the southern menus seen in so many places these days. I had the feature salad and mussels. Both were wonderful. We ordered the fried oysters and deviled eggs for the table. Both very good. Other entrees ordered were the pork, shrimp and grits and meatloaf. Everyone loved their food. The highlight were the 'mini' desserts that our group shared. Probably the best Granita I've ever had. Can't wait to come back.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWisteria offers one of theWisteria offers one of the most reliably great -- and affordable -- dining experiences in metro Atlanta.
