Food was remarkable Service very attentive.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWisteria is one of my favoriteWisteria is one of my favorite restaurants. I recommend getting a reservation vs walking in. The staff is courteous and helpful and is very knowledgeable about the food and wine the restaurant offers. Best dishes I've had so far: Beef Tenderloin, the Trout and the Lamb Shank. Really outstanding, great place for a small group (4-6), but I think best for two.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI am always a fan of Wisteria,I am always a fan of Wisteria, the food is excellent and the location is close-by. However, on this trip it was restaurant week. The place was packed. The staff at Wisteria was up for the task though. Beginning with the host staff, the bartender whiled we waited for our table, the wait staff and the busers, all brilliant and so on the ball. (I hope they made a lot of money.) There was no back-up in the kitchen either that I noticed. Everything ran so smoothly. And, as I said, it as packed. Hats off to the staff on this hectic week. Food was great as always. Only issue, the noise. I could really only converse with the two folks on my side of the table but not the two across from me. All in all, great place!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways love my time at Wisteria.Always love my time at Wisteria. The food is creative and excellent and the friendships are awesome. Highly suggest the mussels.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, Wisteria neverAs always, Wisteria never ceases to amaze! The service was great, the atmosphere compliments it. Wisteria, is an Inman Park Treasure.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWent recently to celebrateWent recently to celebrate our 20-something daughter's b'day; party of 7. Service was excellent, everyone loved their entrees. We also enjoyed three appetizers for the table as well as specialty cocktails. Overall the night was a huge success and we will definitely be back!4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMI went to Wisteria on a firstI went to Wisteria on a first date and the food was really good. I enjoyed the fried catfish and my date had shrimp and grits. But the highlight of the night was the warm bread pudding we shared for dessert. It was excellent!4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner and warm atmosphereThe Wisteria dining experience this past Monday evening was great. The food was well-prepared and the waiter (I wish I could remember his name) was attentive. I would return here.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMFound this place on TripadvisorFound this place on Tripadvisor while visiting Atlanta. My husband said his pork was the best he's ever had. The food was delicious and service superb.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMHow fortunate we were to beHow fortunate we were to be staying so close to this gem! The speciality cocktails were creative, the wine list had something I loved, the kitchen split our salad without us asking, the salmon was creatively prepared and oh so yummy, the fried chicken was moist and tender. The desserts - mini 'buffets' of goodness - were to die for, especially the s'more and shortcake. The service was outstanding - friendly, funny, called us a cab and encouraged us to have a coffee refill while we waited. The only (small) negative was that we were seated directly behind the host station, which was a bit distracting.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMStill great, but changed :(Another good meal at Wisteria. However, they have made a few changes which we didn't like quite as much. The mussels dish used to have some really nice crostini bread and now it is croutons which isn't as good. The crostinis were perfect for scooping up all the goodness in the broth and putting the mussels on. Just wasn't the same experience eating it. Also, needed more crusty bread to sop up the broth - emphasis on crusty... Mac and cheese wasn't the same either. Not served in the bowl, The shrimp and grits was amazing as usual. Still the best in Atlanta and elsewhere. The lamb shank was also very good, but needs more of the sauce to make it more juicy and delicious all the way to the last bite. Once you run out, it's not as good.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner and amazing atmosphereGreat dinner and amazing atmosphere! The service was top notch and our food and drinks were incredible! Cheers!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time to Atlanta. GreatFirst time to Atlanta. Great food. Helpful, friendly staff. The employees were so accommodating and even insisted we stay and eat our dessert in the restaurant as they were closing when we tried to order it to go, feeling bad we were the only people left in he restaurant. We will definitely eat here again and recommend it to anyone for a typical date night or for their special occasion.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWisteria is a gemWas not noisy because we were there early in the evening. Fabulous service. Love their mussels. And the opportunity to taste 3 wines (1/2 glass each) is a real treat.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWisteria is one of our faves in AtlThe Pork Tenderloin and the Beef Tenderloin are staple dishes at Wisteria and never disappoint. They are two of our favorites. So many of the appetizers are good to, such as the Carpaccio, Crab Cake, Salmon Tartare, Calamari, etc. I'm not a dessert person, but the Warm Fudge Tart with Mexican Chocolate Ice Cream and the Hand Crafted Caramel & Sea Salt Smore are outstanding. Wisteria is consistently good and one of the restaurants we recommend in Atlanta.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my first visit toThis was my first visit to Wisteria and certainly not my last. The service was outstanding. I love that this traditional 'southern' restaurant also offers excellent lighter options that are not typically available on the southern menus seen in so many places these days. I had the feature salad and mussels. Both were wonderful. We ordered the fried oysters and deviled eggs for the table. Both very good. Other entrees ordered were the pork, shrimp and grits and meatloaf. Everyone loved their food. The highlight were the 'mini' desserts that our group shared. Probably the best Granita I've ever had. Can't wait to come back.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWisteria offers one of theWisteria offers one of the most reliably great -- and affordable -- dining experiences in metro Atlanta. The food is always outstanding, and the service is impeccable.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful dining experienceWonderful dining experience here for my fiance's birthday. Everything was exceptional from the salads to the desserts, will be coming back in future.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous restaurantFrom our first phone call to walking out after dinner was over the service was consistently outstanding! The entire staff was very friendly and helpful.
Lots of charm in the restaurant decor but the tables are a tad bit close and you can't help but overhear your neighbors conversation. Bar and Wait staff had great suggestions and we appreciated the beer list with Terrapin and a milk stout. Mac and cheese side dish is not to be missed and the choices on the menu make it very hard to decide what to get. Plan on sharing . Vege Plate is very creative and the Apple Crisp is the perfect size and delicious. We will be back !3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMexcellent food and serviceHave been to Wisteria several times and have not been disappointed. Food is consistently good, and the menu is interesting and varied enough that one does not get bored, although you might be tempted to order your favorite every time you go there. My friend, who was visiting from out of town thought that it was the best of the restaurants that we visited while she was here, and we went to a few others that are consistently highly rated. The cod and the skate wing were cooked perfectly, and the salads were excellent. The dessert option is great - small portions, so you can have just a bit of dessert, or share a few choices. We tried 3 and enjoyed each one.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThere are many fine restaurantsThere are many fine restaurants in Atlanta - none finer or more consistent in delivering exceptional food than Wisteria! Perhaps the ONLY restaurant in Atlanta where throwing a dart at the menu gets something delicious and mouth-watering every time.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMy compliments to the chef!My compliments to the chef! I have dined at Wisteria on many occasions, and the food is always outstanding. In addition, the service is impeccable. The freshly prepared food is delivered quickly, and the staffers are attentive and responsive. Overall, Wisteria provides an outstanding dining experience.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThe mac and cheese was soThe mac and cheese was so delicious. It actually upstaged our entrées.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA Dining ExperienceOur experience was superb from beginning to end! We sat at the bar before being seated & had a couple of delicious drinks! Another guest recommended the special, describing it as a "gastronomical explosion"! Our meal was delicious, the service was excellent, & the caramel sea salt s'more was to die for! We will definitely go back the next time we are in Atlanta!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWisteria is always delicious.Wisteria is always delicious. My husband and I went for a dinner date on a recent Saturday and the vibe was warm and friendly, the room bustling and food beautifully and attentively prepared and served. I have a number of food allergies and the folks at Wisteria are always so pleasant and accommodating.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMconsistently enjoyable. greatconsistently enjoyable. great service and excellent food. dine here often. always pleased.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Nice!Highly recommend the lamb shank! I had the tomato soup appetizer and salted caramel dessert3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWas visiting Atlanta and wasWas visiting Atlanta and was very satisfied. My wife's vegetable plate could have been hotter, and when we mentioned it, they quickly redid the meal. I was impressed that didn't just reheat the plate. The service was attentive and my dinner was terriffic. I had the halibut special. It was fresh and well prepared.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMMy girlfriends and I had aMy girlfriends and I had a great experience. Oysters, cheese plate and carpaccio were all super tasteful. The entrees took a little while to come, but the fish special was fantastic. The lamb was ok, but the sauce on it was too sweet. Definitely going back!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding and intimate. This is our favorite restaurant. We have been about 12 times and live in Covington.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWisteria provided a wonderfulWisteria provided a wonderful setting for a visit with an old friend down from Washington DC. Our server was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He readily made recommendations when asked. He steered us to a much better experience than we would have created on our own. He was correct the Pimento cheese Deviled eggs are not to be missed. We loved our entries (lamb & cod), but oh my god,the banana pudding! Rich, dense - the best banana pudding I have ever tasted.
The only unsatisfactory aspect of our evening was the level of noise in the dining room. Especially that generated by the obnoxious quartet at the next table.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother enjoyable dining experienceAnother enjoyable dining experience at Wisteria! It's always worth the trip from Duluth...3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a very tasty dinnerWe had a very tasty dinner at Wisteria. My only real complaint was the noise level. We went at 7p on a Tuesday evening and were a party of 5. There were a couple of large parties but none was over-the-top boisterous, so it's really just poor acoustics. If the restaurant can address this, they'd get a 5-star rating from me. BTW, the trout and catfish were outstanding!3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat DinnerGreat selection on the menu for dinner. All of the food was delicious, tasty and prepared as ordered. Our waiter was wonderful, friendly, and attentive. They have a child's menu that has a good selection, too. We will definitely return. Make your reservation! It's a crowded and popular place.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMLoud voices and staffWe have been going to this area to eat for a very long time. (Since Babette's used to occupy this site) We so looked forward to eating at Wisteria and it fulfulled all of our expectations. The only exception was the very loud (outdoor voices) obnoxious group at front table. What made this worst the man in a white chef coat standing by the table the entire time was the main participant. I think our waitress became aware of our discomfort. Anyway, the entire time we were there, this group exhibited raucous laughter, loud voices and were generally distracting from a wonderful meal. Everything else met our expectations.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMCosy, energetic, good foodGreat lamb shanks. Started with excellent mussels. Good wine list/selection. Will definitely return. Valet parking rather a pain as I prefer to self park, but it was quick & not too much bother, given the limited parking in this area.2/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe only visit Atlanta forWe only visit Atlanta for work twice a year and we always put Wisteria at the top of our list for better dining. Sometimes we eat at Wisteria our first night in ATL to put our heads in a decent place for a lengthy stay and then we save the second visit for just before we leave town as romantic come down after a hectic work schedule. I would put Wisteria up against any better NY West Village eatery for ambiance, creativity and delicious dining. Two nights, two meals, one night with other out of town guests so we ate food from all across the menu and each item was better than the next. No recommendations;try it al as it is all delicious. Ask for Mitchell as your server as he is right on about how each dish is prepared.1/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
