Diner Reviews
  • "Had a date night at Wisteria on Tuesday 7/8. Couldn't have been better. The staff and kitchen were completely on their A game. No wonder this place is packed on a Tuesday night. Will return soon."

  • "It has been some time since we made the trek to Wisteria - but the food was better than we remembered. Great Meal."

  • "We tried Wisteria because we walked by it and then found it on Open Table. We were early diners this particular night, but we were not treated as 'odd' because of this. The owner came by twice to ask about our food and was very interested in our experience. Great waiter, easy parking, excellent food. We will return...."

  • "It all started with our outstanding waiter who did more than just accommodate our dietary requirements. Salad, main dish (just being called 'salad' and 'vegetable platter' meant to do these marvelous treats quite some injustice) and the incredible blueberry & lavender ice cream where both optically beautifully arranged and a tasty fairy tale from first to last bite. Visiting from Germany, we took our Emory friends out for dinner and had a great evening. 5 stars!"

  • "Outstanding. I have eaten at numerous top restaurants and this was among the best. All aspects including service, ambience, balance of flavors, and presentation were top tier. All at the table agreed. I'll be back."

  • "Really nice neighborhood feel. Great southern fusion food and perfect place to take someone who you want to introduce to that type of cuisine. The service was ok, if a little careless at times. What it lacked in care, it made up for in taste. I would definitely recommend."

  • "Loved everything about our experience at Wisteria. The menu was interesting and it was hard to decide what to have. The service was beyond outstanding - not intrusive, we never waited for anything, there were several people available at all times, they were pleasant and fun. We both got the special entree because it sounded so good. It was amazingly delicious and very summer like for the season. The desserts were small - just the perfect size for a few bites of something sweet after a delicious meal. We loved it and will definitely go back."

  • "The service was good, food good but not exceptional. Very noisy and tables very close together. Parking is limited. I was very unfamiliar with the area and parked on a side street close to the restaurant. Did not see the signs that it was for permitted parking only. Got a very hefty ticket which really put a damper on the already expensive dinner. :("

  • "We Loved Wisteria not only for the cozy and romantic feeling it had giving us but for a elegant night to remember and the Waiter gave excellent customer service and communicated with Us well."

  • "Dont order Arugula Salad - it's not fresh at all. Rest of the menu is okay....not the best and not my favorite"

  • "I don't live in Atlanta, but make a point of dining at Wisteria when I visit. The service is impeccable, the atmosphere relaxed, and the cuisine a fresh take on old Southern favorites."

  • "I brought a group early in the evening, soon as they opened as a matter of fact. My group was very demanding and required seating for wheelchairs, Wisteria was very accommodating to everything we needed. Our server, Hunter, was outstanding! My entire meal, from salad to entrees and drinks was great! This is coming from a foodie and a tough critic. I'll be back soon! #CPD"

  • "Chef greeted us and picked the best seat in the house for us. Chatted and joked with us. We all loved our food. The scallops and pork belly was a little over powering. I could not taste the scallops. Everyone loved the crab cakes and rack of lamb and I loved my meatloaf. Desert was awesome. I finished mine with a delicious tart shaved ice. We will come again!"

  • "My wife and I chose Wisteria at the recommendation of our friends Tim and Cathy Dalfiume from Germantown Tennessee. We had reservations and were slightly late due a thunderstorm and interstate traffic but had no problem with immediate seating. We were given the table at a window that I requested. Our server Giovanni was outstanding from start to finish. His recommendations for wine and food were perfect. We look forward to returning to Wisteria and will look for him specifically to serve us."

  • "The food was amazing, with great ambience and wonderful service. What topped it off was a visit from the chef inquiring about the meal. I will definitely return and recommend."

  • "In the hustle and bustle of Hot-Lanta lives a wonderful Oasis with just the right amount of Southern Charm mixed with the sophiscation and Hip of a Big city dining experience. I thoroughly enjoyed this . A menu with a little something for everyone . Well executed and honest food with a great relaxed non pretentious presentation makes this place a return visit for me again and again."

  • "Was looking for some where I had never been for Father's Day and found Wisteria. Had wanted to go previously and hadn't had the opportunity. Decided this was the place and was absolutely not disappointed. The food and the service were fabulous. 3 out of the 4 of us had the pork tenderloin and it was as pork tenderloin should be. Really enjoyable meal and made Father's Day Special."

  • "We have lived in the neighborhood for 12 years, and never stopped in, even given the great recommendations from friends. Well, now this will be top of list for a really great "go to" spot for dinner. The bar is really nice and comfortable whether you are alone or with friends. The food is amazing - don't miss the fried chicken - and we were very pleasantly suprised by the price point. Wisteria has a very thoughful approach to dessert, so you truly can have "just one bite", which is all you need after the generous entree portions. A really varied, and well priced wine list rounds out the meal. And the service is friendlly and very attentive, but not obstrusive."

  • "I cannot tell you enough good things about Wisteria! My husband and I went on Friday evening and had a wonderful time. We took a tour of the menu and it was a great trip. I would suggest it to anyone looking for a nice date night spot or a small dinner party for a special occasion."

  • "First we ordered the deviled eggs they were fantastic we also ordered Salads mine came with fresh peaches and fabulous dressing Then my wife and I ordered the flounder it was in a butter sauce it had a light Breading it was on KAle and German noodles it was beyond delicious We also had to delicious Cabernet house ones but the best part was the desert the peach cobbler was probably the best cobbler I have ever had made with fresh peaches And a delicious vanilla bean ice cream Portions were perfect sizes"

  • "This was my second visit and I have loved it both times. We made a reservation for 8:15 pm on a Friday and got right in. It was a bit noisy, but not too bad. We started with the oysters and deviled eggs, which were great. Then, I had the catfish and it was great. I love everything about this place and would recommend it, highly."

  • "We tried Wisteria during restaurant week. The seating was cozy as this place was packed but we were seated promptly and we soon found out why it was so packed, this place is delicious! Shrimp and grits is a ubiquitous dish at every southern/nouveau southern and every other stripe of southern eating spot in GA, but I ordered it anyway. Sometimes even old standards get done in a way that makes them true stand outs and for me Wisteria now defines shrimp and grits. When I want it this is now the only place I go to get it. Everything else from bread to apps to dessert was top notch. This joint is popular so they don't need me piling on but if you are in the area it will not disappoint. Wisteria is a must on our list."

  • "My wife and I along with a new business associate, spent a very enjoyable dinner at Wisteria. The food was great with excellent presentation. The noise level seemed a bit high making conversation a minor challenge, it was manageable. Parking was free with a valet managing it for several different establishments on the same street so it became a challenge to park or get you vehicle delivered in a timely fashion."

  • "My husband and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary. Our goal was to find lovely spot for special dinner with great food, wine and atmosphere. We hit the spot with the first two, the menu and specials offered something for each of us, it was difficult to decide! However the room was very lively and a bit noisy, which isn't surprising for a Saturday night. Looking forward to return for a lovely meal, and I must mention the service is also top notch, complimentary valet is nice. If you prefer gluten free, there is a menu specifically noting gluten free options."

  • "this is not the place to go for a quiet / romantic dinner. We sat within 6 inches of two other tables. They pack so many people into the restaurant that it is hard to hear conversation. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We did not have to wait to be seated with our reservation. For the price, they should not need to pack so many tables in there. You have more space in a fast food restaurant."

  • "Another enjoyable dinner at Wisteria. The food is always good and the service is excellent. It's a bit noisy, but around 9 things quiet down. So if you want a quiet dinner, just go a little later. "

  • "I went here on Tuesday night and the bartender recommended the trout. It was horrible. I barely ate half of it. The vinegar overwhelmed the trout and the trout tasted like it was cooked earlier in the day and re-heated. I rarely write reviews, but I cannot recommend this restaurant."

  • "Even with a drive from OTP, our visit to Wisteria was totally worth it. The ambience alone is enough reason to go enjoy a meal here, and once you get your food, you'll be even happier you gave it a try. The lemon-rosemary fried catfish with okra and crawfish ragu took me straight back to my childhood summers on the Gulf Coast. Our waiter couldn't be called overly attentive or overly gracious, but kept us attended to enough that it didn't particularly detract from our experience either. At the end of the day I'd come back and bring friends. Well done Wisteria!"
