  • "We were a group of 10 which included four children. We were made to feel welcome and had outstanding, attentive service. The food was excellent. Definitely will return!"

  • "First time we went was great so we took friends again., They brought drinks out in two shifts at least 5 mins. apart; missed one of the entrees and then hurried up the steak which was way undercooked (which they ultimately didn't charge for) and put the check down without asking if we wanted coffee or dessert. The rest of the food was very good, but more than a few people were having a very off night and it was not a good experience. We were very disappointed b/c we like the place, but would likely not go back anytime soon."

  • "Good kids menus. Great Lobster risotto and skillet potatoes."

  • "This was at best an average restaurant and certainly not a real steak house as the name would imply. The bartenders were amatures, the server pleasant, but it just was not put together correctly for what it holds itself out to be. The bread arrives after the first course, the steak knives had to be requested and arrived after the steak. The truffle fries were at best luke warm. The only thing thant saved it was the wine and for a very expensive bottle of red when we asked to have it decanted I think they had to run out and buy the appropriate decanter. I would not go back or I would start a real steak place in the Hilton Head area."

  • "Our first time eating at Wiseguys - service, food and ambience was terrific! It was a rainy night and perfect for dining at Wiseguys. Will definitely make it one of our stops each time we are in Hilton Head!"

  • "We go to wise guys almost once a week a great place on the North end . Love the smaller portions"
    Dined on 4/10/2014
  • "Interesting menu with lots of diverse choices. Many small plates to share as well as entrees. We had a special of the day, barrel fish, which was a new experience and delicious. Atmosphere in the restaurant is sophisticated but casual."

  • "While highly rated we found the food to only medicore and when asking for a wine in the high rated list we were told they were out and realy did not have a good sugestion for an equal replacement. Waiters need to be better trained in wine selection!"

  • "Food was very good, service sorely lacking. Requested bleu cheese order for salad never put in to the kitchen, requested salt and pepper shakers never materialized. Waited for over 15 minutes for check after requested. Finally brought by another server since ours had made herself scarce all night. At this price point there are many restaurants on the island with food as good or better and far superior service (their own Skull Creek Boathouse for one). It is unlikely we will be returning to WiseGuys nor will we be recommending it."

  • "We went here on a Saturday night and were seated immediately with our reservations. Others were waiting and the dinning room was full the entire time. The fillet mignon sliders were exceptional. They melted in your mouth. Also had the fish combo - grouper and snapper. Also exceptional. I can't think of anything negative to say. Go there. You'll love it."

  • "Surprisingly innovative and very delicious. I would go back again next time I visit the island. Our server gave great recommendations for the food and the wine."

  • "Our dinner was outstanding in every way. From the beet salad to the desert. Great wine list and top notch service. Highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "So many great reviews, but we were disappointed. Being locals, we wanted a place other than the standard chain restaurants for a decent steak. What we got had little taste. Service...well, gallant effort, but too many spilled drinks and dropped and broken dishes. The couple small plates we got were tasty, and we had a nice bottle of wine, but overall it did not live up to our expectations."

  • "Our 2 grown children joined us for the weekend so we could all attend the Masters practice round on Monday. We had dinner at WG on Friday eveing along with a family friend. My husband ordered "wolf fish" which was highly recommended by our waiter. Actually he was told that he got the last serving of the entrée. The fish was rubbery, hard to even break apart, & tasted very fishy---it was very disappointing. As usual it's a difficult situation to send a dish back when everyone else has begun eating. The other 4 dinners were very good. We just thought that management should be aware of this situation. Thank You."

  • "I've been a frequent patron of Wise Guys since they opened, however I hadn't been there for awhile and this night was very disappointing. Service was slow, the bartender did not know how to make a good Manhattan, and the food was just fair. My shrimp and scallops were overdone and not prepared as i've had in the past and the sauce was altered as well. I believe I paid $11?, this a small plate.. My salad for $5 was ridiculous, a little lettuce, period. Even the pizzetta disappointed. Don't mind paying for great food, but I won't be back until they get their act together..."

  • "The food was very good but pricey. Service started out good and our server was helpful with wine suggestions. As the meal went on a bunch of larger groups were seated and we felt ignored. We ordered coffee at the end which was served promptly, but it was five minutes before we were given a dessert menu. Then it was another 15 minutes before we were asked if we wanted dessert and by then we were done. I don't blame our server but for the price of the meal it was disappointing to end in a negative way. The place is great for groups they have a great wine selection."

  • "We have eaten here once before on one of our other trips to HH. We had small plates and cocktails that time. This time we sat outside snd I had steak while my husband had salad and sliders. The food was great and sitting outside was so nice. Our server was new so she needed some help. She often forgot to come back and ask if we needed anything. This did not spoil our last night of vacation. I would recommend "Wise Guys" to others!"

  • "We had the she crab soup, parm truffle fries, chicken and waffles and the sliders on special. All very good. We would go back."

  • "Wise Guys has a different vibe from other Hilton Head restaurants. We felt like we were in a hip New York City restaurant but paying South Carolina prices. They offer small plate dishes for those who want less food while full size portions are generous. They serve plenty of traditional meals but put a new twist on many items as well. We've never had a bad meal at Wise Guys and will keep returning."

  • "The food is phenomenal...we like that the menu is broad - so good when you're in the mood for a full meal - but also good when you're not. Our waiter was the best! Great time - we'll be back!"

  • "Thanks to Chris, the manager for always ensuring an amazing experience! Our server, Jen was very attentive and gave excellent service. This is our favorite restaurant on the island and we have never had a bad experience here. We look forward to our next dinner at Wiseguys!"

  • "We were seated promptly, the menu had a wide variety, and the service was outstanding. The food was delicious and we never felt rushed. Wiseguys provided a wonderful dining experience!"

  • "Everything was fantastic, except the broccolini needed another minute to soften the stem. The calamari, shrimp and scallop was outstanding, and the faro was the perfect accompaniment. The mixed grill could only be improved by one more shrimp. The She crab soup was heavenly. Not so sure about the churros with the chocolate fondue, but we ate it all so it must have been OK at least. And the Caesar salad could use more croutons. Interesting, grit croutons."

  • "First time visitors and the food was very good. Had a NY strip steak which was grilled to perfection. Remainder of dishes (baked potato, broccoli, bread) were also very good. Noise level made it hard to communicate across the table. And the prices were a bit to the high side. But overall, the restaurant is a winner."

  • "Wise guys is a joy to go to. You can count on an interesting menu, great wine or beer and wonderful service. It met our expectations most definitely!"

  • "Food was excellent as well as service. We had a slight problem with the dessert and no hesitation taking it off the bill. A true sign of a good restaurant! We will be back."

  • "This restaurant was recommended by the hotel we were staying at and truly lives up to its description. My husband loves wine and this place has a robust wine menu. There is also some nice scotch and bourbon selections too. I'm the foodie and must confess I ordered a number of the small plates. Every bite was bursting with flavor. I don't think you could make a wrong choice when deciding what to eat. With such a diverse menu there is something for everyone. Everything there is made fresh and the chef really understands food and wine pairings. We absolutely loved it. A perfect romantic night out. The bar is separated from the dining room but looked like a fun place to be. It is on our list to go back to and try out. 4-5"

  • "This restaurant was recommended to my husband and I. We both had steaks which were cooked very nicely. The food was tasty. My only complaint is that the restaurant was very cramped and dark. The night we were there, it was totally reserved so every table was occupied which made it feel even more tight. Our waiter was great and made some good recommendations. Looks like a great deal of people have found this popular restaurant but I prefer a restaurant that has a view and windows if at all possible."

  • "Wise Guys has a wonderful menu and the food certainly lives up to its description both in presentation and quality. However, the same cannot be said for the service. We were seated next to a large party with several small children as well as an infant which distracted from our dining experience. We never saw our server again after he took our order, not even to refill our glasses with a not inexpensive bottle of wine.. Frankly, we are becoming tired of having each course presented by a different person and with a comment of " enjoy guys". This may be appropriate for Chili's , but not a restaurant which is positioning itself as an upscale experience."

  • "Never have been disappointed at Wise Guys. Go there often. Love the tapas and the steaks. Sharing small plates with friends makes for an enjoyable experience. Bob H"

  • "From the front desk to our waitress the service was excellent. We were a party of 8 and received everything on time, our drinks came out together and so did our food. We did not have to wait long and everything was prepared to perfection. Lastly, you have to try their desserts, they are delicious. I highly recommend if your in town and are looking for a place to have some great food, Wise Guys is the place to go."

  • "Dined at Wise Guys for the 1st time. Just like a NY and Chicago style steakhouse. Porterhouse for two was fabulous! Décor relaxing and simple, something for everyone on menu, server was informative & pleasant. Will highly recommend and definitely return..."

  • "Wise Guys was highly recommended by a friend, so we decided to give it a try on our last evening in Hilton Head. Loved the she-crab soup and the small plates, and the creme brulee flight was a big hit! Will go back on our next trip."

  • "The first time was good. The wait person was attentive, the food was good. The second time, not so good. My wife is in search for great crab cakes, and these just had too much filler and no chunks of crab. The fish and chips I had were good, but not as good as the trigger fish if had earlier in the week. The server didn't explain the specials, was not very personable, didn't fill the water glasses till the end of the meal. The manager asked if everything was good, and not being complainers, we said nothing. She mentioned it to the server whisked us how everything was. Not very much effort on his part."

  • "While our friends were pleased with the meal, after we finished the entrees, we were not offered coffee or dessert. The checks were simply presented and the evening was over. I was personally disappointed with the $42.00 surf and turf, I did not complain, in hindsight, I should have done so. The lobster was so/so and the vegetables were overcooked. After we finished the meal, there was no offer of coffee, desserts, or other, strange!! Waiter decided the evening was over, The hostess was great and the reception upon arrival was truly professional, even though the restaurant was so busy!! Our last visit was so much more memorable, oh well!! Is it because we were using the Serg Coupon that the service was sub par?"
