Our waiter (Robert) was very attentive, but not in our faces- we had everything we needed and he was on top of everything, but we didn't feel pressured or hurried at all. I had the petite filet mignon which was possibly the best steak I've ever had- it practically melted in my mouth. It was cooked to perfection (medium) and the Bernaise butter was delicious as well. My husband had one of the pizzas (with basil) and it was also delicious. Very nice local place to eat - it was very very busy, but we were able to make reservations the night before with no problem for a table for two. Drinks were very reasonably priced. My friends raved about the short ribs. The food and fun were so good that, on the way out, I made a reservation for Saturday night to treat my husband for our 24th wedding anniversary. Megan Witte was our server for Saturday night and was a great help. She helped us choose the wine to pair with our heavenly Rack of Lamb and Filet Mignon. The evening was topped off with the bananas foster with chocolate hazelnut-filled crepes! Already looking for another reason to return to try some of the small plates.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Dining ExperienceWe were staying at the Disney Vacation Club resort, and they recommended several restaurants with Wise Guys one of them. The restaurant impresses as soon as you walk in. Nice ambiance. Waiter was young, but he did well. The wine list is extensive. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, and was melt in the mouth tender. The petite "Not so traditional Caesar salad" was a perfect starter. To end the meal we shared the Creme Brulet flight. Five small servings of different flavor Brulets. Oh My!! We were seated promptly and although we had a new waiter, he was quite efficient and knowledgeable even though he told us this was his second day.
All of us enjoyed the wine flights and shared the tapas plates. The Calamari and Shrimp was excellent. The Fried Chicken and Waffles seemed a bit sloppy and less attractive than in the past - primarily due to the flat and soft looking waffles. Short ribs as sliders and main plate were excellent - soft and tangy.

After a change in order by wife after I ordered one of her favorite by the glass wines, he delivered her first order. Subsequently he acknowledged his mistake and offered a second full glass of the correct order on his tab. Honesty pays. Steaks were perfection and salads as well. Dessert devine. Well done. The calamari appetizer was out of this world and my husband ordered the salmon as his entree and I must say its one of the best I've had. My steak (Bistro sirloin) left a lot to be desired, unfortunately. Nevertheless the staff was very accommodating and kind.

1. Waiter - Excellent, Sam was one of the best we have ever had.
2. Drinks - Had a Bloody Mary that I have never seen! Came with a shrimp and was magnificent! Could have been a meal in itself!
2. Food - Must order the small plates (shrimp and calamari was the best!)
3. Desert - Lava Cake was great!

Lamb chops were exceptional the steak did not have the rich dry aged beef flavor I was expecting. The vegetables were properly prepared Creamy Yukon potato, Crisp sauteed baby green beans, wilted baby spinach. We would definitely go back and taste some of there other offerings
A quick comment on steak if they want to be a notable steak house they need to step up their game. The interior is sophisticated but comfortable and tables are nicely spaced. Service is superb and food is excellent. On our first visit we sat outside and the four of us ordered a variety of sliders and pizzettas, all of which were great. On our next two visits, we sat in the beautiful dining room in the back and ordered steaks and a few of their signature dishes and everyone was pleased with their selections, especially the braised boneless beef spare ribs. A word of caution to those making their reservations online -- the restaurant is always full. This was our second visit, our first being last New Year's Eve. We enjoyed it so much we decided it was worth trying out again to see if it really was a good restaurant or whether we had had too much to drink.
We ordered six small plates for four people and enjoyed the variety of taste sensations, wonderful presentation and innovative cooking. The desert menu was also worthwhile and the prices not too bad. We loved the shrimp and calamari appetizer, it was absolutely delicious as well as the bottle of Pinot Noir we ordered. We found the young woman in the red dress walking around the restaurant jotting down notes of some sort to be a bit intrusive and misplaced in a very cool environment which changed the entire vibe. Well we asked WiseGuys to do just that. You know what, They did it with flying colors.
I love small plates. It is a great way to try an number of dishes and the four of us must have tried at least 10. All were excellent. They meal was paced just fine for conversation, while the restaurant was more then 50% full.3/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
