My mom got the health nut salad, dad the salmon cakes, and me the shrimp and grits. for dessert mom got the strawberry shortcake and me the key lime pie. Everything was excellent. The food is always really good here and you get quite a lot for the price. The staff works hard to accommodate accordingly and we received our food in a timely manner considering Mother's Day, graduation and prom events going on. Service is awesome and the menu, while not extensive, is one that will appeal to any preference albeit notably american in the entrees. The food is fresh and prepared well; offered in pleasing sized portions. We tried the calamari and sashimi tuna apps and both were fantastic. I went with my fav "shrimp n grits" which was excellent and my lovely wife went right to dessert; you can't go wrong there--all are made in-house and delicious. We love to sit out on a nice evening and Winston's has a great outdoor area. Consistent food quality, service and the price is reasonable. Deserts are very good, better than most other places in this class. We usually visit this restaurant on special occasions and have always enjoyed the food. This time however the dish I had upset my stomach quite a bit. It's the same dish I always get when we go there so I was a little bit disappointed. In the past month, I've dined at Winston's once with our neighbors and once for business. In both visits, the food and service were great. My business associate was delighted when I suggested Winston's as it is one of her favorite restaurants. Over the years, I've never had a bad experience at Winston's. The floor plan has lots of rooms and nooks, which serve to limit noise to an acceptable level. The wait staff is friendly and attentive without interrupting. According to my associate, Winston's make their own ice cream which is to die for. If you want a quiet table for conversation you must request otherwise you may be seated next to a large LOUD group. That can ruin the experience. The service on the patio was absolutely top notch! Our waitress and her back up were both at the top of thier game, friendly, knew the menu, great suggestions. Our drinks were refilled as needed, didn't have to wait for our meals. The scallop and grits special was excellent-as was suggested by our waitress. My husband also enjoyed the Ribeye special.
