  • "Our group enjoyed a pot of fondue on the shady patio, and each had a different tasty salad. I'm not usually a salad person, but the variety of salads here satisfied all of us. I noticed everyone cleaned their plates! The Wine Cellar patio is a good place to escape the stress of the valley and enjoy the little outdoor nook in Old Town. Have dined inside the cozy "cellar" downstairs too, and prefer it for romantic evenings and a warm spot to go in the winter for butternut squash soup or pizza. If you don't arrive early for parking, you may need to walk from one of the larger parking lots down the street."

  • "Food was very basic. They have the main dishes you can expect to see in most bay area restaurants. Seared Ahi, Filets,etc. Nothing that stood out as creative or a signature dish. Service was above average but nothing outstanding. Waiter seemed un-enthusiastic, and presented himself like he was "was just doing his job". He forgot to present the specials, and when asked seemed like it was a chore for him to go through them."

  • "Once again, The Wine Cellar proves a crowd favorite for my group of friends who celebrate their June birthdays in style at this excellent restaurant. Outstanding food from a very large and varied menu, beginning with great drinks at the bar, competently and expertly made by a staff that doesn't miss a beat. It's instant ON from the moment you walk in the door. The calamari is terrific, and the stuffed Poblano pepper is fantastic: always perfect starters. We feasted on everything from rib eye steak to lobster and crab salad with Asian dressing to a tower of Mahi Mahi, perched on basmati rice and baby bok choy. The seafood fettucini in white wine sauce is a masterpiece. Everything is cooked to perfection and delivered with grace by Tim Flynn."

Food is great, service is wonderful and always enjoy the restaurant, whether sitting inside or outside. It is one of the only restaurants with an outdoor eating area at lunch in Los Gatos and it is reliably good. I highly recommend it. I don't think I've ever been there for dinner, so I don't live in the area, but I've heard it is great for dinner also!"

  • "This is one of my favorite restaurants, but this visit was disappointing. We had unusually long waits between visits from our waiter. They didn't split our appetizer as requested. The waiter corrected that but, after he'd left, we discovered it contained ingredients we'd requested be omitted; our waiter didn't come back to check, and we were hungry, so we picked out the unwanted items. It took much longer than usual to receive our entrees. We were presented with birthday sundaes to apologize for the appetizer mishap. I think a better solution would be to remove the charge for the unsatisfactory course & let customers choose their dessert (or offer a free dessert of choice, or a discount on a future meal). "

  • "Beautiful setting on the outdoor patio. Sunday brunch here is a treat; you order your entrée made-to-order, then visit a table of all-you-want fruit and muffins. If my Danish pastry hadn't been chilled (literally, it was COLD) I'd have been happier, but otherwise everything was delicious. The chef kindly fulfilled my request for a very-well-done hard-yolk egg in my Benedict; I know this goes against the grain for chefs, so thank you! Good service from our waiter, too."

  • "Our friends from Germany visit twice a year. Their favorite restaurant is the Wine Cellar in Los Gatos. They love the Ahi Tuna as we do. We all order this dish. It is absolutely the best ever. Our friends are pilots and travel all over the world. They too agree that the Ahi Tuna dish at the Wine Cellar is excellent. Last night, the dish was the best ever and our waiter was fantastic. We will be back soon. Please don't ever change the Ahi Tuna entree. It is over the top:)"

Menu is varied, the Poblano Chili is great as an appetizer or entree, exceptional French Onion Soup, sandwich selection is generous with salad and fries, the Fisherman's pasta is one of the best. We have been here on several occasions, but only for lunch. We consider the Wine Cellar one of the better restaurants in Los Gatos. Great patio for outdoor dining."

  • "Cozy inside and welcomely outside. Portions are big and food is delicious )) Since I drink only French, a decent wine list is very important for me. Not only they have a big selection of French champaign, but also they have SEVERAL varieties of SMALL bottles , which is very rare to find in a place where food is under 20$. Moreover, they have a small bottle of Demi sec ;) I would definitely recommend this place for lunch and dinner."

  • "Went to the Wine Cellar for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We chose to sit inside because it was starting to get chilly. We had a nice table near the bar. Our waiter Tim F was great. He was very attentive and made good recommendations. We had the Soy-glazed Salmon, Ahi Tuna and Fisherman's pasta. They were all very delicious. The portions are huge including the dessert. Three of us shared the Pumpkin Bread Pudding and we could not finish all of it even if it was absolutely delicious. I was also given a chocolate sundae with a candle on it for my birthday. It was simply a wonderful dinner. We will definately go there for brunch so we can sit outside next time."

  • "The 'Wine Cellar' is our favorite place to eat in Los Gatos. We mostly go for lunch and usually have the 'fish and chips'. The 'sand dabs are so lite and tasty! We had friends visiting from Monterey so the 'Wine Cellar" was the choice for dinner. It was a beautiful evening, we had an early reservation so had our choice of outdoor seating - very relaxing. The staff, as always, we're very pleasant, helpful, and attentive. Our selections from the menu were 'sea bass', short ribs, and two of us had the pear salad. We of course had to finish off with a delicious 'creme brûlée' We will soon be back!"
