Wine Cellar RestaurantDelicious lunchThis was the second time I ate here for lunch. The service and food are both wonderful. The sandwich, salad and fries were fresh, delicious and plentiful. Will definitely come back again.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went to the Wine CellarWe went to the Wine Cellar for our 18th Anniversary. Made our reservation online and requested an intimate table away from the kitchen and entrance and they complied. Everything was perfect! We enjoyed our meal, service and ambiance. Recommend it for a special occasion or for lunch with the girls. Will defintely go there again!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome cocktails, wonderful foodWine Cellar is one of our favorite restaurants. Even though "wine" is in the name (and 3 out of 4 of us don't like wine), they make the best cocktails around. The fondue was wonderful, the salads excellent, and the steaks and fish spot on. Our only disappointment on this visit was we were celebrating our friends' anniversary and I put that note in the reservation. Neither the hostess or waiter ever acknowledged the special occasion. Aside from that everything was great!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth While. .First time at Wine Cellar. . . Will return as it was more than I expected. . Great food and great service. .5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Dining Experience!I had forgotten about the WIne Cellar until it was time to meet a couple of girlfriends for a birthday lunch. Found WC via OpenTable search of LG restaurants - and so happy I did!!! We had a reservation for 1:30pm on a Tues & waited maybe 5 mins for a patio table. The hostess was very sweet/welcoming and our waiter Moses was wonderful! What a extensive wine list - many options in a wide range of prices - love that!! Lunch was served quickly - we ordered salads (Beet, Dbl Shrimp, Cran Chicken) - they were great! The weather was nice, the food was delicious and the service made it a perfect lunch! Moses was so attentive and the bussers were continuously re-filling waters as it was pretty warm outside. We'll definitely be back!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Patio DiningA perfect evening out on the patio. The double shrimp salad is a meal in itself and only added a bowl of clams/muscles. Also loved the eggplant pasta. Wine list was reasonable (even have half bottles) and varied. Very nice, romantic night.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Wine Cellar is a greatThe Wine Cellar is a great spot for having lunch with friends outdoors in nice weather. The menu is varied with many wonderful salads and main entrees, well prepared and presented...Three of my favorites: Chinese Chicken salad, Cajun steak salad with gorgonzola , avocado, etc., and the beet salad.....but there's so much more to choose from. The only drawback is finding a parking spot at lunchtime. The ambiance is casual, and relaxed while energetic at the same time. There is a varied wine list with wine by the glass as well. You can make reservations but they can't guarantee an outdoor table. You can sign up on a waitlist that moves fairly fast., or take a table downstairs in the cellar...but on a beautiful afternoon.....go for the outdoor!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service!Wine Cellar was absolutely packed for brunch and even though the kitchen was a little behind, our server, Eddie, still found a way to be attentive, and ensured he did everything he could to take care of us.
Our table wasn't quite ready when we got there so we grabbed a drink in the bar. Jay was fantastic. I've never seen a bartender work so hard or so fast AND do cool tricks while he was at it. Fun to watch! There seemed to be some regulars camped out at the bar- I can see why.
Awesome food and phenomenal service. Just wish we could ditch a few of those patio umbrellas to get some more sun.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMJust a special place. TheJust a special place. The fondues are great. Cheese before dinner and chocolate after.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome!!Absolutely great dinner!! Wonderful! Will dine there again.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is our all time favoriteThis is our all time favorite in the Bay Area. We have been there 4 times and never had a miss. Their sesame seared ahi tuna is the best. Cut up in nice thin slices and served on a bed bok choy it is delicious. I tried the ahi tuna at Lou's Village and it was awful. They brought out this lump of ahi tuna drowned in sesame seeds. It made me long for the Wine Cellar. I had their Salmon that night which was fabulous. My only complaint is they ran out of their key lime pie. In the 4 times I have been there it has only been on the menu twice and this last time they sold out. Their key lime pie is the best in the valley, they get the taste combination between the sweet and the lime just right. They just need to make more of it.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWonferful place for a special nightWe have enjoyed to great food at Wine Cellar many times and return when we want a special night out. Everything on menu has been outstanding.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Filet Mignon Ever!!!Still the best filet mignon around! Cooked to perfection and the quality of the filet is excellent. Also had the3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMI had read that the ChickenI had read that the Chicken Marsalla was good - turned out to be better than I thought. Portions were ample - green beans were crisp. Definite return venture3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great "date night"We had a great "date night" this past Saturday. The chicken marsala was amazing - flavorful and the moist. My husband had the special pasta of the evening - a Mediterranean chicken and penne. We each had a glass of the suggested wine to accompany our meal and they complemented them perfectly. The service was terrific and while not the spot if you're looking for a cozy, quiet, romantic dinner, we enjoyed our night out and would certainly return.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe opted for an early dinnerWe opted for an early dinner (6pm). We were seated in a 2 person booth (very desirable) and more cozy than a table so we were pleased. Waiter (Trent) was very attentive, very helpful in selecting wine. I went with his choice for a Riesling and I was not disappointed. He gave great descriptions of each and I went with what matched my mood at the time. Hubby was happy with his top-shelf margarita. We rarely pass on the Swiss Cheese Fondue and this night was no exception. The right amount for 2, sometimes we stretch it for 3. I had Chicken Piccata, hubby had Filet Mignon - both excellent presentation and flavor. The restaurant got much busier towards the end of our meal so clearly it was a popular choice. We've not been disappointed here.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall, I had a wonderfulOverall, I had a wonderful experience at the Wine Cellar. The ambiance was cozy and romantic. The wine list and food options were impressive - I can't wait to come back to try more! Our waiter was very friendly and I was impressed by his excellent customer service. The lamb chops and stuffed pork chops were to die for. My mouth still waters thinking of it. I would definitely recommend this place!3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Wine Cellar is so awesome! The Wine Cellar is so awesome! We are not wine drinkers, but they have the BEST cocktails and wonderful food. The servers are friendly and professional, and the restaurant is nicely decorated. This time we tried the tortellini and chicken piccata, and both meals were excellent. Can't wait to go back!3/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
