Diner Reviews
  • "There was nothing not to like about this dining experience. I look forward to returning"

  • "A select group of our church took our pastor for dinner and to share camaraderie. Environment was perfect; we asked for a received a private space - - The Woods Room, all to ourselves! Our drinks came quickly as we enjoyed conversation. Shortly, we learned of the daily special, which the majority of us ordered and loved! Service was efficient and in the background, which is always why we choose Willow!"

  • "Enjoyed our meal. We had the dinner special stuffed sole with crabmeat and spinach. Served well and quickly. The restaurant is undergoing construction, and dust is in the air. Otherwise is a great place to eat. We have been there several times, and will be back after the construction is done."

  • "Have been there multiple times but this time I wished there were a little more on the menu."

  • "We met some friends here and had a wonderful dinner! Willow is in the middle of remodeling but the service and food was outstanding. Wonderful drink menu, too."

  • "It has been a long time since we have dined at Willow. First the building, noticed outside was getting run down and needs attention or it will be a dump in a year. Inside unfortunately wasn't much better. One wall in the bar area actually has clear tape to keep the plaster up. The bathroom well reminds me of a bad dirty gas station. The food friends pork chops looked good and they said they were good. My wife had duck which was terrible and was deduced from the bill. My three scallops were fair and frankly too few for the price. Waiter Chris was great and very attentive. He deserves a better restaurant around him."

  • "Willow is a hidden gem, great scenic view where quality and quantity embrace eclectic cuisine."

  • "I was at Willow this past February, just before there was a revamping of its ownership. The current owner has revitalized the menu and restored the quality of the preparation of the food. Our server was attentive enough, but somewhat less engaging than other servers we have had there in the past. I'm more inclined to return after this dining experience than I was after February's."

  • "Definitely enjoyed the food and venue. Only odd part of the event was that they kept the dining area cold, too cold for comfort. We mentioned this and the waitress said not to worry, it would warm up, but can't say that was the case. Hopefully just an odd occurence, but it wouldn't put us off from returning to Willow."

  • "The risotto & pork chop were so delicious! Love the ambiance as well!"

  • "Took my mom here for the first time for Mother's Day. The servers were all very polite and the food was very good! A bit pricy considering portion sizes however I'm sure my waistline is thankful. Drinks were expensive and not very impressive. The crab cakes (which they said they were known for) were very good but I didn't feel were anything special as I've had better. We sat on the upper porch and there was only 1 other table outside so it was very quiet. I would like to see what the atmosphere is like indoors next time. I will be returning."
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "The food was not great, the cranberries in the salad were stale and so hard that you couldn't even chew them. The food came out Luke warm."
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "The wait staff was wonderful for entertaining my patents when I was unavoidably detained and an hour late arriving. Delicious food and a fantastic playlist. "

  • "We had the opportunity to visit Willow for lunch on Mother's Day. Limited menu for the special holiday, but still had something for everyone. The food was exceptional as was the service. I've been here before and had exceptional food and service before as well. Would definitely recommend Willow!"

  • "Willow never disappoints. The ambience is casual cool, service is very good, and the food is excellent. "

  • "This was our 3rd time to Willow and it was for our 5th wedding anniversary. I have to say it has gone downhill since last time. Their menu is completely new and not as good as the last one but that was not the biggest disappointment. The service was awful, we had to wait 15mns just to get a drink despite having reservations and the waiter was nowhere to be found. The food was good though but we couldnt really enjoy it because we were so annoyed by the service by the time the food came. "

  • "Very nice patio with choice of open or under a roof. Comfortable chairs. no smoking even outdoors."

  • "Food was Lackluster. Nothing special. Service was ok. Got there early and checked in at hostess stand. Said they would come get us at the bar when the table was ready. 15 minutes after our reservation I had to go over to the hostess stand again to ask about the table. It was ready, they just never came and got us. Not impressed. However, drinks were really good!"

  • "Food was great, but AC was on and it was so cold we had a difficult time enjoying our meal. We mentioned to server-finally went off while we were warming up with hot coffee and dessert!! "

  • "Love Willow but , the cigar smoking on the balcony filters back into the dining room ... Bad design , if you can't fix it nix the cigars . Also miss the Lobster Mac n cheese , should be a menu mainstay. "

  • "This was the second time I have been to this restaurant. The food and service are excellent. Brian K our server was knowledgable, helpful, attentive but not intrusive. We will return. As many say, the crab cakes are excellent. The pear clafoutis dessert was superb."

  • "Willow is a lovely little place in North Hills that's thankfully far from the traffic and hustle of the main drags. Food and wine always good. Our server was excellent."
    Dined on 4/12/2014
  • "Willow,to me has degraded a little in service level. There were obscure and incorrect add ons that made no sense to me when paying for the meal. The waitress had no good answer when questioned. Hummmm! The good news... The food is good and portioned well. I will go back when the patio is open. The patio and food together are good together..."

  • "Food was very flavorful. I had the beet salad and a "side" (enough for a full meal!) of polenta with greens. Both were excellent. The homemade focaccia with olive oil (complimentary) was addictive. Wines by the glass were limited, and they were out of the one I selected. Dessert (some type of chocolate cakes with mousse) was also very good and easy to share (two little chocolate cakes, two dollops of mousse, two white chocolate decorations). Service was friendly and attentive, waitress (Kilene) offered helpful suggestions."

  • "We moved to the area a few years ago and looked for that special place to go for good food and GREAT service. We found it at the Willow. Try it you won't be sorry."
    Dined on 4/1/2014
  • "we were looking for a quite night out without our kids. what we got was a loud room full of kids running around. We do not have a problem at all with children as we have 4. But for a date night out without kids, we don't want to listen to it. They should put families with kids in a different area of restaurant away from couples looking for a quite dining experience. Food was just ok for the price. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. BUT...we will never return here. if we are going to shell out this kind of money there are much more romantic and quite places with much better food in and around the city"

  • "Our server was terrible. He was brut and inconsiderate, often interrupting our conversation without courtesy and reaching over each person while serving some item. He wasn't friendly or particularly warm. My husband tipped him 21% but he deserved nothing more than 10%."
    Dined on 3/28/2014
  • "I invited a group of my friends to try Willow, and they loved it! A lot of the food was new to them and it was a much different experience than they were used to, and no one was disappointed by the delicious food and drinks or by the elegant environment. Excellent time!"

  • "Willow has very good food. A nice variety and unique dishes too. The drinks were very good, excellent lemon martini. Above all however, was the service! We were never rushed, always covered on drinks and extremely well taken care of."

  • "Went to celebrate our anniversary. As always service was very efficient, food was great, very good selection of wines and great ambiance in front of the fireplace on a chilly March evening."
    Dined on 3/5/2014
  • "We enjoyed lunch on a weekday. Server did not have much personality but the food was ok. It had been some time since I had dined her and had always loved their crab cake. It was not as good as the first few yrs they had been open. Side of vegetables were ruined when they appeared to have been sauteed in alot of butter vs steaming."
    Dined on 3/5/2014
  • "I'be driven by Willow many times, but am seldom able to afford higher;-end restaurants. When a reason to really celebrate (and splurge) arose, I thought we'd give it a try. And I am so glad we did, as everything exceeded our expectations! The food, from beginning (brisket tacos) to end (chocolate somethin-somethin), and everything in between (crabcakes for my sweetheart, filet for me), was deliciously and beautifully prepared. The wait staff was attentive, without being intrusive. I could not have been more pleased, and look forward to returning."

  • "Very clever ambiance with dark woods and multiple large rooms. Enjoyed the dining experience and very robust beer and wine selection. Very attentive wait staff and our water was kept full, plates removed, and beer flowing. We have not been here in years. This will be a monthly spot for us."
    Dined on 3/1/2014
  • "Good food. Very nice presentation. dessert was excellent. Our party had the Chocolate Chiffon and the Pots de Creme which were creatively presented and very tasty. Staff was friendly and service good. The only think I'd improve is the menu binders are looking a bit worn."
