  • "Nice relax mature vibe in the restaurant. Good for a romantic meal or a getaway for a group of friends. From start to finish the service was amazing. The waitress recommended that our group try the Sangria and fish, which both were amazing. My girlfriend and I both agreed the apple cobbler was the best we ever had. I still shocked how affordable this place was. Even if it was a little more expensive it would still be worth it. Made reservations from my phone, so convenient"

  • "I went for dinner this past weekend around 7:00. It wasnt crowded. There were mostly rich looking older white people. I had the dining special with three courses. The gumbo was tasty. I had fried seafood and really liked the shrimp, the catfish was too fishy and I wasn't too fond of the stuffed crab. The chocolate pecan pie was decadent!"

  • "Went here with my wife for Valentine's day. Big mistake. Had reservations but had to wait for 20+mins and was requested to sit in big table shared with other couples; said NO. Got a table in room which was packed with so many tables cramped in; could hear couple on next table even though they were whispering. Service was horrible; got our drinks after 15 mins and the salad was pathetic; Wendy's have a better salad than here; ordered rib eye steak (medium) and what we were served was a burnt piece of steak; last straw; called the manager and give him my piece of mind. They overbooked than what the kitchen or the wait staff could handle; they became greedy cause of the big day instead of focusing on quality. will NEVER ever step in there."

  • "I have visited your restaurant several times and chose it for Valentines because of the seafood variety. The service was horrible (front and back room), and the experience was a nightmare. My guest's food was ill-prepared, and my entrée (which was served before my appetizers!!!!) was missing ingredients!!!! The second attempt was better but not your usual. I know it was a holiday, but this is not the first Valentine dinner I have ever had, but clearly one that I will not remember fondly! The fact I was not charged for the dinner was nice but does change my opinion...you guys blew it!"

  • "Crazy crowded lobby area for valentines day. We luckily had reservations and was sat quickly. At first to an oddly shaped table, but was very accommodating when we said we wanted a more standard table. Our server Sam was very attentive, but not too much. Great wine bottle service. Enjoyed dinner from the special 4-course special menu. Food was great. Service was great, especially considering the occasion. Just as you would expect from a Landry's restaurant. We'll be back."

  • "Excellent food and service (by Joe Green) fade in memory after leaving. What endures is the cacaphony of voices rising above the bass line of otherwise inaudible music. The level of sound precluded talking at our table without shouting and adding to the roar. It struck me when I entered, and the only relief came on a trip to the rest room! We will happily return when the acoustics have been improved."

  • "We didn't get seated until one hour after our reservation. The girls that we're sitting people were unorganized and non applogetic about the wait. When we finally got sorted we were sitting by the bar where every other customer was waiting so I really couldn't have a conversation with my wife. Food came out burnt, they did re-cook our order but nothing in the way of I'm sorry or anything like that. We go to Willie G's a lot but each time it seems to be getting worse and worse. Think I will mark this one off our list to dine out."

  • "Always wanted to come here! Came in 30mins early from reservation time; but was seated after people who walked in without reservations! Waited 10mins for drink order! Waited another 10mins for bread! I ordered Snapper Michelle and wife ordered seafood platter. When my food came out, the shrimp, crab lumps, scallops and green beans were lukewarm Other than that, the fish was great but the seafood platter was under par! Pappadeaux's Seafood Platter is the benchmark! The dessert menu was typical so we decided to get dessert at Dessert Gallery instead. The server hurried us out because it was the end of the day. Needless to say, we should've eaten at Pappadeaux or Babin's! So skip Willie G's and spend your money at Pappadeaux or Babin's!"

  • "I wanted a sit down dinner with my wife where we could enjoy each other's company without the kids. I felt as soon as we sat down we were being rushed toward the door. I believe they overbooked the Valentine's dinner time slots and focused on turnover instead of providing a good experience. I'm sure they made a tremendous amount of money that evening, but we won't be back. I don't mind being rushed at a different type of restaurant, but at that price level I expect to be able to relax a bit."

  • "This was a former favorite. Sadly, on this visit the food was almost inedible. My sea bass with lobster and shrimp was mostly covered in butter, to the point I had to scrape it off! The lobster and shrimp were tiny bits and tasted sour. Both my husband and I felt ill when we left. The restaurant was so cold we could barely stand it. We tried to point out our concerns to a manager but none could be found. We won't give it another chance."

  • "We had a valentines day reservation at 7:30p, and arrived right on time. I was surprised to see that the entry lobby was a sea of people. When I checked in, we were informed that they were running about 30 minutes behind. It was a nice evening, so we took a short walk (there was absolutely nowhere to sit) and returned at 8:00p. Our table was still not ready. Long story short: we were seated an hour and ten minutes after our reservation time. This restaurant hugely overbooks reservations. DO NOT go here unless you're willing to wait a LONG time."

  • "On January 30th reservations were made thru Open Table for a Valentine's Dinner for my son and his girlfriend. the reservation was for 7:15 p.m. they arrived at 7:00. The evening before February 13th Willie G's called to confirm his reservation for 7:15. Long story short they were not seated until 8:10. Upon asking the (3) hostesses who were manner less at the desk when they would be called, they were completely ignored. Other couples with later reservations were seated before them. Why make a reservation and not honor it? My husband and I recommended that he and his girlfriend go to Willie G's because we luv the food there. Yes the food is delicious but front service on Valentines Day specifically was horrific."

  • "We arrived promptly on time and I was greeted by an outstanding host. As the host was speaking with me she was abruptly interupted by a manager who was rather rude. and then walks away. Later the waiter takes our food order and the same manager is eyeing our table from a distance. Towards the end of our meal there are not many people dinning in the restaurant but there are still many people at the bar. So my table sat talked for a bit. It undoubtly bothered the manager because at this point he is no longer eyeing for a distance he is standing about 15 feet away from our table leaning against a partition as if he is waiting for us to leave. My dining experience was not the best and it made for an uncomfortable evening for my group."

  • "The meal was OK. The waitress was not good at all. When we asked what the special was for the day, she said she did not know, and that the specials generally were not as good as the menu items anyway. Not true....... Was not crowded and she barely came to our table. She was also not familiar with the Landry's Select benefits. When the manager came to our table, we was also rude. I have noticed a difference in Willie G's since it is a Landry's restaurant. This will be my last visit here. I'm not a complainer, but it seems my last few visits here I was extremely unimpressed with the food and/or service."
